T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and S8+ receiving new security update

New updates for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are now rolling out on T-Mobile.

T-Mobile Galaxy S8 owners should be on the lookout for an update to version G950USQS6DSG4, which is now rolling out over the air. Galaxy S8+ owners should watch for an update to version G955USQS6DSG4.

As for what’s included, Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners can expect the July 1, 2019 Android security patches. The previous update for the S8 and S8+ included the April 1, 2019 security patches, so it’s good to see some more up-to-date security patches rolling out to T-Mobile’s Galaxy S8 and S8+.

If you’ve got a Galaxy S8 or S8+ on T-Mobile, you can wait for this update to come to you or you can check for it manually by launching your Settings app and selecting Software update > Download updates manually.

Thanks, Joanna and Curt!

It showed up in Smart Switch desktop app on Tuesday – when I was backing up data for a cracked screen replacement.

Funny I have the Note 9 and it’s weird I sometimes actually like the S8+ better, sontd know why, but I know the Note9 is supposed to be faster and have more of everything, honestly I not sure that its really all that perceptible – I carry both and use the SS+ for my business line

what about the factory unlocked S8?

Got it yesterday and all is well on my S8+. I kinda like that T-mobile is more patent with updates than I am. I have never had a problem with any of them. Considering the complexities, I find that amazing.

    Thanks for the Up Date!
