T-Mobile Galaxy Note 9 security update now rolling out

galaxy-note-9-hands-on

After receiving two security updates in April, the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 9 is now receiving another update.

T-Mobile is now updating its Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to version N960USQS1CSE1. The update comes in at 154.38MB and includes the May 1, 2019 Android security patches. There’s no word yet on any other improvements or bug fixes that might be included.

The update is began rolling out over the air today, and TmoNews reader Debjit already got it on their Galaxy Note 9. If you’ve got a Note 9, you can either wait for the update to roll out over the air to your device, or you can check for it manually by launching your Settings app, selecting “Software update” and then tapping on “Download updates manually”.

Once you’ve got the update on your Note 9, let us know if you find anything new!

Thanks, Debjit!

Great! Now can you restore manual mode functionality to my video recording feature?

I haven’t been able to record video since Pie was installed. After this update, it’s working again.

I received the T-mobile security update today. Still no return of the Pro Mode video feature.

I’m not familiar with pro mode. Just tried to shoot a regular video after Pie update, it showed the seconds counting but when I stopped the recording it gave me a message that it failed.
          Now it’s working though.

Pro-mode/manual was a feature on the Note 9 prior to the Pie update that allowed the user to make changes to the the ISO, aperture, white balance, etc just like what is available with the camera.
