T-Mobile launches Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet with 600MHz LTE support

T-Mobile has quietly added a new tablet to its lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) is now live in T-Mobile’s online store. Pricing is set at $10 down and $10 per month for 24 months, or $250 full retail.

This Android 8.1 Oreo tablet features an 8-inch 1280×800 display, a 2MP video camera for video calling, and a 5MP rear camera. Inside the Galaxy Tab A is a Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot so that you can add more storage. Powering the Galaxy Tab A is a 5000mAh battery that Samsung says is good for up to 13 hours of video playback.

4G LTE connectivity is built in to the Galaxy Tab A (2018), including LTE Band 71 (600 MHz). This tablet includes LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 66, and 71.

If you’re interested in an affordable, portable Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab A looks like it could be a good fit. Its 8-inch screen will help it fit into a purse or bag, and the support for LTE Band 71 is a welcome sight. You can get a closer look at the Galaxy Tab A and order one of your very own at the link below.

Wish T-Mobile had a Budget and High Quality Android Tablet to choose from?
Having a bunch of mediocre Tablets isn’t gonna get people to buy them.
Last great Tablet from T-Mobile was Galaxy S2.

Be careful what you wish for… A $3,000 model will magically appear LOL

Would love to see a $500 decently specc’d tablet with Pie on T-Mobile. I’d buy the thing in a heartbeat so long as it wasn’t too horribly screwed up by the OEM.

That would be great. The problem is this, none of the big names but Samsung makes hign end tablets anymore. Gone. Acer,Toshiba,Asus. etc. I think Asus still makes tablets, not sure those. Toshbia, should of kept making Thrive tablet just kept upgrading it,like Samsung did. Toshbia Thrive is the only one know of that had removable battery.

Where’s the Galaxy Tab S4? Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint have it. Why don’t we?

    • Bklynman

Because,it T-mobile,that why. don’t worry if the merger get’s the green light,it will be gone like a rocket, without one word,it will be eol.

I didn’t know people still bought tablets. With massive phablets like the Pixel 3, Note 9 and iPhone XS they’ve pretty much become irrelevant except to keep your kids happy in the backseat during a long road trip.

Too bad they didn’t give this 3 gigs of ram. Not sure if Tmo has trade in program,I have the 1st, Tab A,never had problem with it. Even those it only has 1.5 gigs of ram. Still use from time to time.

2GB just isn’t enough. I would gladly pay a bit more for 4GB. Hopefully, T-Mobile will carry the Tab S.

    2gb ram…. 32gb onboard… hard pass

    2GB RAM, Snapdragon 425? How quaint….
So, Samsung is happy with 2013 performance now(my G2 from 2013 has 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a Snapdragon 800 overclocked to 2.5GHz). Hey Samsung, when will you join us in in 2018?

    Ugh 2gb of RAM, cmonnnn

  • T-Mobiles refuses to carry any high end Android tablets or any Windows tablets/slates at all. Most of their competitors are carrying newer devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 with its 4GB RAM. T-Mobile needs to do better.
