T-Mobile Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8 receiving security updates

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 owners, a new update is coming your way this weekend.

T-Mobile has announced software updates for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ as well as the Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy S8’s update is version G950USQS3CRE2 and is 159.47MB, the Galaxy S8+’s is version G955USQS3CRE2 and is 155.27MB, and the Galaxy Note 8’s update is version N950USQU4CRE1 and is 186.97MB.

As for what’s included, all three phones are receiving the May 2018 Android security patches.

Security updates may not be the most exciting things ever, but considering that most people store a lot of personal info on their phones and rely on the devices for their day-to-day communications, getting new security updates is important.

Maybe I am missing something here, but why is a year old phone getting the May update and my S9 only has March??

Did you get your S9 from T-Mo, or unlocked?

Check my Note 8 at 6:30 this morning, there it was.

Got an update on my T-Mobile Note5 too. Wonder if this is what it was?

This fixed alot of the force close issues I had previously been experiencing.

That’s funny, because I never had any before 8.0 and now they’re several times a day. :-/

Same for me. I did have to do a Cache clear and a reinstall from Safe Mode, but after doing so it was popping on all 8 cylinders. I will always do a Safe Mode cache wipe after a major OS upgrade now. Just makes issues so much less of a thing.

Is anyone else having issues with their Note 8 not recognizing their SD Cards after this update???
