T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ now getting security updates

Shortly after the Galaxy S8 Active began receiving a security update, T-Mobile’s versions of the standard Galaxy S8 and S8+ have starting getting updates, too.

T-Mobile is updating its Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with the April security patches. T-Mo also says that these updates include “various bug fixes and system improvements.”

The Galaxy S8 update is version G950USQU3CRD4 and is 314.67MB in size, while the Galaxy S8+ update is version G955USQU3CRD4 and is 311.04MB.

T-Mo says that these updates began rolling out a couple of days ago, so if you haven’t gotten your GS8 or GS8+’s update, you should see it in the coming days. You can also check for it manually by going into Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.

I still haven’t gotten my Note 8 Oreo update

That’s because the Note 8 Oreo update was breaking a bunch of functionality. They needed to do some further testing to get it accurate.
