T-Mobile Unveils New “Tablet on Us” Offer

If you’ve been planning to pick up a new tablet, now is the best time to do it. Earlier today, T-Mobile unveiled their Equipment Installment Plan that makes it easier for you to pick up your favorite devices.

As of this writing, they are currently offering the LG G Pad X 8.0 and the Samsung Tab E under the installment plan. You will have to put either device under T-Mobile ONE or any of the mobile internet plans they offer with at least 6GB of high-speed data per month.

Here are the mobile internet plans available under this offer:

  • $35 per month – comes with 6GB of 4G LTE data
  • $50 per month – comes with 10GB of 4G LTE data
  • $65 per month – comes with 14GB of 4G LTE data
  • $80 per month – comes with 18GB of 4G LTE data
  • $95 per month – comes with 22GB of 4G LTE data

Instead of paying for the tablet, T-Mobile will be covering the entire cost of the tablet through a monthly bill credit. This means you get the tablet for free. And if you’re a T-Mobile ONE customer who’d like to add a tablet line, you may do that with just $20 a month with Auto Pay. This will already entitle you to watch all the videos you like and enjoy unlimited high-speed data.

You do have to hurry though as this offer is only available for a limited time. If you cancel wireless service, the credits will stop and the device balance will be charged to you.

Wow you late to the game with this one. Its been out all day and it just now is poping up. What happen to Tmonews talking about something days before it was out.

Not anymore. Also he didn’t mention how TMO change this, when all you had to get with this free tablet was a 2 gig data plan. Like I have, with Gal.Tab A,maybe it is not the fastest,or with the greatest screen(I personally have no problem how video look on it,just going by reviews from others.) ,the biggest gigs, only 16 gigs. At the time TMO was selling them for $320.00,now see them on Ebay for half that price. I don’t mind those. Since I am getting a credit back for $13.49, I was paying only $6.49 for 2 gigs, but I switch everything over to one plan, both for my phone line and table, because they give you $50.00 off one plan for tablets,if you have one plan for your phone line, yes they do give you the credit off your bill for the new all in one, plus they are giving me job discount too. It is all good.

Do not get these offers. Im still calling in for my Black Friday offer promotion, that they didnt want to honor. I did a trade in for an iPhone 7 and they told me they are not giving me it. Which im going to find a way to get it no matter what. This always happens to me. I also got 3 free Galaxy J7 phone offer, they also didn’t want to honor it until like 5 months of calling a supervisor paid off all the phones on my account. I hate T mobile they lie to much to trick customers and you have to pay the phone because you signed a contract to pay the phone.

This happened to me as well with the On5. Got 5 of them for each line just as back up. I waited patiently for the 2-3 cycles and it never happened, when I called they said to hang tight a few more which I did but then it never happened a phone REP who agreed I qualified escalated it then the escalation team who wanted to deny it at first. I fought back when they declined it and offered to give me 2/5 free and I declined and Since I’m pretty rebate savvy, always read the fine print and For back up purposes I had printed the original terms from the T-Mobile newsroom site when the promo first came out. I sent that in and although they said there were stipulation not shown they would honor it and they paid off all the phones and gave me credit for what I had paid for those months I waited. It was a hassle but I felt I was well prepared for that to happen.

Don’t get me started on the free lines with the free devices…and then they sent me to INDIA for customer service. First time in 5 years I went to India, and it it continues I have to look elsewhere.

I own the Galaxy Tab E (WiFi version). It’s a pretty good tablet for watching movies or TV shows but don’t expect a lot for gaming. It’s not a gaming tablet. Default is Android 4.4.4 but it upgrades to 6.0. Camera is mid range. Good enough to take pictures if needed but don’t use it on vacation. Sound is medium quality as well.

I mainly use mine for PS Vue and Plex.

hows the ram management? can it run multiple apps in the background without constant reloading?

  • Philip

14GB free hotspot on my phone plan.

    • Now you see me now you don’t!

What does that has to do with this free tablet offer?? I have unlimited hotspot, because I use Pdanet,it hides my use. Google it,it will come up or go to playstore to find it.

Anybody know if you can get this on existing lines?

    • Panzer

Yes “You will have to put either device under T-Mobile ONE or any of the mobile internet plans they offer with at least 6GB of high-speed data per month”.

  • Phil

    Damn those plans are expensive.
I snagged Samsung A8 free tab deal last year…….I think it was Valentines Day promo.
2gb tab plan was required that cost 20.00 discounted to 10.00 with active phone line.
Add my Select Choice/20.00 Unlimited data plan into mix with 6gb free tether I’m sporting 8gb for tablet use.

are these tablets worth it? i have the galaxy tab a 8.0 and its garbage. its laggy as hell and it has shitty ram management. i cant even hold 2 apps running in the background.

    • Phil

No such problems with my A8.
      Everything runs pretty smooth

      • T Redd

I may snag up the lg pad when my galaxy tab a 8.0 is paid off.

If you are not on a T-mobile One plan, your are stuck paying at least $35 a month for the next 24 months. That’s $840. I would rather buy a decent LTE tablet for under $200 and add the tablet data per month as needed in case there are months I don’t need the data.

I took them up on the G Pad X 8.0 back in October and I’ve been pretty satisfied with it. Truly, I’m probably running it harder than it’s really designed to be run by pushing it to run Lightroom constantly, but it does the job and the screen is great.
