T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ now receiving software updates


Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ owners, the time to update has come again.

T-Mobile has announced that its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are now receiving software updates. Both include “Android Security updates,” and both weigh in at around 60.44MB.


TmoNews reader Gerald received this security update on his Galaxy Note 5, so if you’ve got a Note 5 or S6 edge+, keep an eye out for your update. You can check for the update manually by going into Settings > System > About device > Download update manually.

      Likely nothing. That’s the generic message they send out every time they push a security update.

    On verizoni recieved the “security” update today on my note 5….only thing i notice is google ads now are flying fast into content and blocking the content by laying on top of text.
    I ha notice more bs web afs about malicious software that require selecting browser instance and closing it. Antivirus norton and antimalware see nothing out of the ordinary.
    It seems to be a wasted update im still on v.6.01.

      that was only a security update. T-Mobiles way of teasing us. Middle of March and I’ve yet to get the 7.0 update.
