T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and S6 edge receiving August security patches

If you’ve got a Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge, you’ve got an update coming your way.

T-Mobile are pushing updates to both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. The updates bump the phones to versions G920TUVS4EPH2 and G925TUVS4EPH2, respectively, and they include the July and August security patches.

These updates will roll out over the air until Sept. 7. If you’ve got a GS6 or GS6 edge and haven’t yet updated, you can manually check for your device’s update by going into your Settings app and then selecting the About Device section. These updates are both around 26MB in size.

The last updates that T-Mobile pushed to their Galaxy S6 and S6 edge came in June, so it’s good to see an August security patch arriving after July was skipped.

Thanks, Bryan!
