New T-Mobile LG G3 now available for $239.99 on eBay

Remember that LG G3 that was being sold for $250 earlier this month? Well now it’s back, and it’s even cheaper.

eBay seller “mobilepros1” is selling the Metallic Black version of T-Mobile’s LG G3 (D851) for $239.99 with free shipping. The G3 is unlocked and is listed as being brand new. As such, you’ll get the original box along with the wall charger, USB cable, and the phone itself. This G3 also comes with 32GB of built-in storage, but its microSD slot will let you add more if you’d like.

As before, it’s worth noting that this LG G3 doesn’t include band 12 LTE support. Its list of supported LTE bands includes 2, 4, 5, 7, and 17. If you don’t mind eschewing band 12, the LG G3 has a respectable feature set despite being nearly a year and a half old, and it’s expected to get updated to Android 6.0, too.

I’ve seen a few on swappa in mint condition with some offering a few extra’s for that price range.

    • ThatsMrtoyou

Did you not read ? This phone is new.

      • Verizonthunder

Work on grammar next time before speaking.

  • Wow that’s a great deal!

I just ordered up a CPO G2 to act as a temporary replacement from TMO for $129.99. I have to get my Onetouch Idol 3 off to Alcatel.

    • ThatsMrtoyou

Any phone would be better than Alcatel or even worse a kyocera phone…both shitty Chinese phones

      • Durandal_1707

Kyocera is Japanese, not Chinese. It’s short for “Kyoto Ceramics.”

      • Acdc1a

There is nothing wrong with the Idol 3 in theory or execution… At least not initially. The phone works well in all aspects. My screen getting discoloration 4 months in leaves questions about quality.

I’m so pissed, ordered G3 from Tmobile for over $370 in march, barely a little over half a year ago and now they’re selling this stuff new for $240.

    • AMARealist

I know! Who would have expected that as a device ages and loses ground that the price would go down. I don’t think anyone could have ever predicted that.

      • Bklynman

LoL! I understand where he is coming from. Android phones don’t keep
there value anymore like before,Tmo,always charges more for thier phones than other companies that sell Tmo phones. Today I was on Walmart site, they are selling Zmax $,Lg Stylo for $179.00. When I was last Tmo site, they were selling refur.Zmax $149.00,Lg was over $200. Heck Tmo is selling that Lg slider for over $300.,that came out over 2 yrs ago that will never see a update.

      • David

Well, I knew it was gonna drop, but this drops a little too much too fast.

    • g2a5b0e

I hear you, man. Maybe you should have waited until next year! Who knows what kind of deal you’ll be able to get on it then!

      • Acdc1a

My guess? If the G2 is any indication it will be $129 next year!

    • Ky

Why would you be pissed? If you didn’t want to spend money, should have gotten a G2, it has been $200 for a long time now. Recently it dropped down to $129. Natural for prices to drop on old devices. The G4 is $379 now. Give it 6 months and you get one for $299.

  • Annoyed

Is this T-Mobile news or an advertisement for an eBay seller? I’m confused…

    • Philip

Some people may not be alert. At least its news and its cheap.

    • Acdc1a

Why wouldn’t a T-Mobile subscriber want to know about deals on phones? This one is almost good enough to be one of today’s flagships and it’s $240! This kind of thing SHOULD be here.

      • Ordeith

$240 is kind of a lot (like the 32GB storage, though).
But having picked up what turned out to be a decent performing and fairly well rounded Lumia 640 off the shelf (and off contract) at Wal-Mart for less than $80, nearly every other phone seems expensive to me now.

        • Acdc1a

It’s really hard to compare Android phones to Windows Phone. I have a 640 as well and try as I might, I can’t live without some of the key missing apps.

A better comparison for similar money would be the new Moto G ($219 with 16GB) and this phone handily defeats it. You can also look at Alcatel’s Onetouch Idol 3 at $250 but I’m living proof that it might not be so good in the long run.

      • Annoyed

Online sales from a third party that is only $10 cheaper than it was from the carrier direct *and* for a legacy/discontinued device is not news. That’s NOT what should be here. Additionally, Alex has pushed this specific eBay seller on other sites in the past yet I wasn’t able to find any other eBay sellers mentioned in any other article so it’s more likely that he’s receiving a kickback from this seller to post these articles to mislead consumers. Again, NOT NEWS.

is this one of the phones that can have band 12 unlocked with the qualcomm hack/trick?

  • Marsupial

Another phone without band 12 – thanks but no thanks…

    • AS118

That’s always my response lately as well.

  • mingkee

It’s probably LG is liquidating G3 (all variants) for the forthcoming V10.

  • Bklynman

Why buy this phone? When can go to Walmart buy brand new Lg Stylo $180.00,or if you are on really tight budget, you can get ZTE Zmax brand new for $129.00 also at Walmart.
