Google Parodies Apple Device Videos With Android 4.4 KitKat Unveiling

This almost slipped my attention today even if I glanced at the website no less than a dozen times earlier today. The “Android KITKAT 4.4 — The future of confectionery” reminds me of Jony Ive unveiling Apple’s newest products and that’s a good thing. I suggest you just watch as the Chief Break Officer breaks down Android 4.4 and the future of confectionery. This website is very well done and while I can’t help but laugh at the idea of Google partnering up with a candy bar and how silly it all sounds, they’re doing it with a lot of flair. In fact, they’ve got way more than 15 pieces of flair.

Always happy to see Android marching forward, but to announce a new version six weeks after one has just been released seems like a little much. Was it really that important to release 4.3 since they obviously knew 4.4 was so close?

    • Red5

4.3 was a relatively minor update

I realize that, but it still seems to me that they could have just waited & rolled all the changes into one.

obviously they care about their consumers, 4.4 seems like a bigger change because of the implementation of SELinux.. this isnt apple, they dont wait to make money off of one thing, either way no other phone besides the nexus will have 4.4 at first.

Not sure I fully understand your comment. It’s not like Google or Apple make money off of updates specifically.

kitkat is the worlds worst candy bar!

i thought i remember apple hating on screen sizes they didn’t offer….7″ tablet is too small…5″ phone is too big…or was that steve jobs?
