LG Nexus 4 Makes Cameo Appearance On UK Retailer Website

The Nexus 4, LG’s anticipated first entry into the Nexus world has been outed yet again by UK phone retailer Carphone WareHouse. An official looking pre-order page is now live on the company’s site, with the very same specs we’ve expected: 4.7″ 1280×768 display, Android 4.2, quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, NFC and an 8 megapixel camera. The Carphone Warehouse spec sheet does list the device as being 9.1mm “thin” and offering 8GB of onboard internal storage.

On another similar Nexus 4 Carphone Warehouse note, another source has shown off an official looking internal inventory page that shows the LG Nexus showing up in both black and white.

Another potential feature added in Android 4.2 is “Gesture Typing,” which is listed as: “Stay in touch with Gesture Typing, a faster way of typing that lets you spell words by dragging your finger across the screen from letter to letter.” Is Google preparing to take on Swype?

Will it be available as a pentaband device and will it come to T-Mobile? We’re hearing some completely unconfirmed whispers but let’s hope we find the answers to those questions and more in just a few days.

  • They will probably have it as unlocked in US. But it will be awesome if T-Mobile could market it by saying like buy it unlocked and use it in our value plans. Have it without carrier branding.

It doesn’t really look like that doesn’t it? And lg? Nah ill pass. My first experience with lg the g2x was horrible. That phone had the worst battery life of any smartphone is owned

G2x was the first dual core smart phone of course their were going to be problems.

Lg build quality is crap. I will pass.

I’m hoping / wishing/ delusional that this will have LTE for us in the future. But it probably won’t and I’ll have to wait some more for a Nexus.

And I’m starting to ignore the fact that LG makes it, Google needs to give all Android manufacturers a shot at a Nexus. I applaud them and hope LG does a good job

I’d really like this but 8gb just isn’t going to do it. Who knows how much of that space will be taken up by the OS and system files. I’ve got a lot of music ripped at 320 quality and that takes up a lot of space. I want that music on my phone, not in the cloud, with me all the time so that it will always be accessible even when travelling, away from wifi, etc. I hate buffering when I switch tracks.
Didn’t google learn from the Nexus 7? People are willing to pay a premium for more storage.

I am way past ready for a new Nexus..after i sent back my GNex i resorted to using my N1. I will be getting this as soon as it is released, hopefully we have it in options of 16/32GB from the jump. My first choice for a new Nexus was HTC and i am still holding out slim hope the rumor of 5 Nexus phones pans out. Will love to see HTC unleash a Nexus with their 1080p HD screen but a little less tall than the J Butterfly. In the absence of any other Nexus phones..i am all in on the LG Nexus 4. Can’t wait…the excitement is building as we get closer Mondays event.

Um, My amaze 4G has swype style function built into the stock android keyboard already and it works just as good. This is not new. Unless this is part of sense and not android.

    I hope it support HSPA+42!!

Can Monday come already? Getting tired of all these leaks and want to hear from Google only.

  • 8gb of int memory is pathetic. Every year Google has been shoving shit hardware down our throats. Unacceptable, very happy with my SGS3, rooted and running AOKP.

I dislike the lg brand so much that i will stick to my current nexus. I have had bad experiences with their phones, tvs, and fridge. Never again.
