T-Mobile Galaxy Note Set To Receive Minor Update Right Out Of Box

The T-Mobile Galaxy Note is still a full week away from launch and is already set to receive a minor software update beginning August 8th. The OTA update brings the Galaxy Note up to software version T879UVLG3 running Android 4.0.3 and weighs in a relatively small 21.8MB. Improvements include a fix for the “Error: Enter MAC address” after entering MAC address, Weather widget does not show current location and MobileLife contacts addresses combined into a single field.

Upon taking your Galaxy Note out of the box you can head to Settings > About phone > Software update and check to see if the update is already available. If you haven’t received the update, continue trying as the update will run between August 8th and September 30th or you can hit up T-Mobile’s support page below for updating your Note through Samsung’s Kies software.

Of course why wouldn’t it? JB is not much of a step above 4.0

I thought the note came with 4.0.4 built in

    • Trevnerdio

That’s pretty sad that it doesn’t, considering it’s been out for awhile

I saw a review on YouTube and they went into the settings and it said 4.0.4. Maybe they got a developer phone or something?

        • Trevnerdio

It’s possible, but yep that T-Mobile site definitely says 4.0.3

        • MatthewMurawski

Isn’t that the same site that said it had a 2100 mAh battery?

        • Lmao exactly

        • Trevnerdio

Yeah as I was typing that I was like hm T-Mo’s site isn’t always right…

    • Right smh what a joke
