Motorola CHARM And T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Get Retail Price Discount

In a rather unusual course of action, T-Mobile has apparently decided to discount the retail prices of the Motorola CHARM and the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G with 3.5mm Jack.

The Motorola CHARM has been discounted from $269.99 to $199.99, and the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G with 3.5mm Jack has been discounted from $399.99 to $299.99. The discount applies to all colors that the devices are available in. Though we didn’t report it before, T-Mobile has done this three times before. The first time was with the T-Mobile Comet, which was discounted from $199.99 to $149.99 a few months after it was released. The second time was with the Motorola CLIQ 2, which was discounted from $399.99 to $269.99 over Valentines’ Day weekend. Both discounts were quietly launched, with no mention of the discounts anywhere except at the site and in corporate stores. The CLIQ 2 offer was quietly removed on the Monday after Valentines’ Day weekend, as if it never existed. The third time was with the Samsung Galaxy Tab in January, we skipped over the fact the retail price dropped from $599.99 to $499.99, and talked about the contract price drop instead.

For those who prefer contract-free service, these are compelling for those who don’t need top of the line Android phones. And like the CLIQ 2 offer, this probably is only for a limited time, so grab it while it’s hot!
