I think this fits with t-mo introducing high-end devices soon. They want to get rid of phones people won’t buy as much when other devices pop up.

  • Dalton

Actually not that bad this time T-Mobile..
But now the phone’s cost what they should’ve in the first place. :P

  • Rochester

T-Mobile is selling MyTouch for $99 and G1 for $129.99. Someone needs to wake up the marketing department.

I almost feel bad for the people who fork up $99 for the mt3g if right around the corner the “Nexus One” phone ends up being $199. Significant difference in phone for a small difference in price.

Either way, its good to see T-Mobile in the holiday spirit and giving away those BlackBerrys lol.

  • Just bought a mt3g 17 days ago. 3 days after the return period ends, I read this. *face palms*

would be great if tmobile offered these prices for current customers, who are eligible for a 2yr contract extension. Because i could use a new phone, i logged into mytmobile and the mytouch3g is 149.99 with a 2year extension.

Try calling Customer Care, and ask to be transferred to the Loyalty Dept. Explain to them your situation, and they should be able to give you the $99 2-year contract price.

  • Any free upgrade deals out there? I been hosed this far on trying to get a new decent phone and im grandfathered in to an old plan that no longer exists and if i signed with a new a plan id be paying more.

    • Kickstar13

As stated above, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 (with UMA) is FREE with a 2-year contract (try talking to the Loyalty Dept about offering you the Free price). Also the Samsung Gravity I & Gravity II are free with a 2 year contract. T-Mobile Shadow is also Free with 2-year contract.

Check out all the deals here:

Go to wal mart…yeah, I know satan runs the company…but If you don’t want to pay for a phone, go there. You pay the $18 upgrade fee, beats tmo pricing

I am not seeing the my touch 3g for 99.99 with 2 year contract, am I doing something wrong? The cheapest I can see is 149.99, someone steer me in the right direction please.

    • Kickstar13

I believe the $99.99 price is for new customers. But as I said before, try calling customer care and ask to speak with the loyalty Dept. They can give you that pricing.

      • Mossbeep

I never logged onto the site. I did it as a new customer, 149.99.

  • Khardtank

Did you ask to be transferred to the Loyalty Dept? Only the Loyalty Dept can give you the new activation deal.
