T-Mobile Prism Now Available Directly Through T-Mobile Online, Company Owned Retail Stores

Some low-key news today as the T-Mobile Prism has already been available through the likes of Best Buy and Walmart since the beginning of May. Today does the mark the day however, that the Prism is available through T-Mobile owned retail stores as well T-Mobile.com. Interestingly enough, T-Mobile’s official press release back on May 2nd indicated the Prism would retail for $149.99 sans contract. According to T-Mobile.com, that price has since increased to $219.99 for all you no-contract lovers out there. No word from T-Mobile indicating any reason for the change.

The T-Mobile Prism is a 3G devices with a 3.5? HVGA display running Android 2.3. “The Prism allows customers to enjoy variety of entertainment and Web browsing experiences including social networking sites and thousands of applications from Google Play.”

Why would anyone buy this garbage when they can get older phones with better hardware for free? Even the Mytouch 4G has been free for months and offers a better processor and HSPA+.

      100% correct. I couldn’t agree more.

I’m dying to know even a shred of info relating to the G4x. I’m kind of sorry I read it here. I can’t stop thinking about the Tegra 3 ready stock ICS goodness all in a nice sleek design.

I really wish TMo would have went with something more high-end, like the Ascend Quad D. I would think that they wouldn’t have trouble striking a favorable deal since Huawei is looking to get greater exposure in the US.

It looks kind of nice I saw a dummy display a work. I do not think people are going to pay for a non 4g phone with a contract. It should  be a prepay phone.

I saw this in bestbuy, it looks nice. Also, not everyone wants a super phone. This would be good for someone getting their android start. Great price.

what a waist of space on the store shelves  and on  tmobile website it should be $19.99 without contract lol

Hi David. I spoke with a representative from tmobile and he said he hear rumors that the launch of the galaxy would be in July NOTE 21 or 23. But he said that until tmobile usa not make the official announcement here in PR can not say anything. What he anticipate is that the launch will be simultaneous in both countries. He also said he expects the ICS for GS2 in June 25. He said nothing of GS3. What does not surprise me because I think that if the information is correct, the note would be overshadowed in sales if the GS3 is released in that month

Sorry for mistakes. I’m at work and my galaxy 2 is with some errors.

i am a Tmobile rep, i dont know where the representative you talked to would get any of that information… sounds like hes pulling it out of where the sun dont shine.

      • Carloslacend

Hahaha maybe. If it is true or not time will tell

        • Carloslacend

But I think that if indeed tmobile plans to launch the galaxy note should do at the time he gave me or early August. for August we should know some official information of tmobile gs3. I think it would be wrong to continue spending days and hear nothing of note galaxy. Much attention now is on the gs3. People will ignore the note to wait to gs3

The actual dates are BS, but from what i’ve heard from reps and such, the ballpark timeframes are about right.

      PR is not a country.

They should have Made it a 4G.capable.

All we need is Google and Others Phone Manufacturers to Sell Us Phones Directly… That will combat the extreme markup the carriers are doing!!!

HVGA? In 2012?  The G1 was HVGA…  And it looks like they missed their price point.   For the type of customer they’re aiming for, that price difference is very significant.  It’s going to put a significant hurting on sales of this puppy.

It looks like an inferior peer to the Samsung Exhibit II which has a WVGA (480×800 vs Prism 320×480) 3.7″ (prism 3.5″) screen, 4G (HSPA+ vs Prism 3G), 1000Mhz CPU (Prism 600Mhz) which Amazon sells for $190 (prepaid retail packaging).  They’re selling the Prism for $150.

Just bought one for my 12 yr old and she’s loving it (though I think she got gypped because my 11 yr old inherited my Sensation 4G when I got the $400 GNex last week).

Even for $40 more, it makes a much better starter/kid phone than the Prism IMO.

TM could of kept CM7,which runs pretty good with Santana upgrade. Who ever upgrade their CM7 to the Belle upgrade,it more than likely runs even better,I just shake my head at the strange things TM does.

  • Snapyoshitup

Looks better than all the crappy my touch phones. Id much rather Tmobile get phones like this than my touch. This ha a better design and not everyone wants huge phones.
