Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 With AWS Bands Passes Through FCC

We’ve been calling for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to land on T-Mobile and with the passing of the tablet through the halls of the FCC complete with AWS bands an arrival is looking better and better. The device is only identified as the Samsung SGH-T859 but it packs 1700MHz AWS for T-Mobile and has the very same dimensions as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi only version which passed the FCC back in May. Of course without any actual branding it’s impossible to say that this is without a doubt the Galaxy Tab 10.1 but the boys at Engadget who discovered this filing are pretty confident that’s what we are looking at.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 may land subsidized or land unsubsidized but we firmly believe some of you are going to be willing to break the piggy bank for the pleasure of using T-Mobile’s HSPA+ on a 10″ tablet.

If it has SGH-Txx9, then it is going to T-Mobile. Samsung GSM Handset – T-Mobile XX 9. I believe the XX is the certain model.

If the price is right maybe..I was sold on this back in August and almost decided to buy the Wi-Fi model but then Toshiba announced the Toshiba Excite (AT200) that has micro-usb, micro-HDMI, and and micro-sd card slot for more space, not only that it’s even thinner than the tab (7.7mm)..long story short I’ll wait for the competition

Yup but let’s hope for release before the holidays!

No thanks, I think they would jack up the price really high for this tablet… just like the iPad on AT&T & Verizon. Is it worth that price? nah.

This device is already old but T-Mobile will price this way higher than the iPad watch.

Doubt if they price it higher (unsubsidized), and device is still newer than Ipad 2. So c what’s your point?

Since I already have a G-Slate I will pass on this one most likely. I’d like something smaller as well.

Sorry to put this post here but with what phone are they replacing the g2 from the insurance

    • Meagan

Depends on what they have in stock when you contact them for a replacement. One call may be different an hour later. Most likely you’ll get a G2.

This is launching on T-Mo on Oct 15thish from what I’ve heard

  • SmileyInLosAngeles

Um, hi. Did I miss something? Data was intermittent to PAINFULLY SLOW from 5pm PDT until.around 8pm PDT here in Los Angeles. I know I’m not the only one; Twitter was all full of hate for Magenta. I was also having issues with my Time Warner cable modem. Again, Twitter had a lot of hate for TWC for issues with internet connectivity. Does anyone have any info on this? The MSM is :: silent ::, but my half assed sleuthing seemed to indicate a global internet slowdown/ unavailability. WTF is going on?

    • Anonymous

Strange I had craptastic TMO data last night around 9-10 central AND my cable modem/router was horrible.  My phone, tablet, and laptop could only access certain parts of the internet and this same thing happened a couple weeks back as well.

Good to know I’m not the only one and now I know its not my router.

All carriers did, there’s a solar flare storm

        • Anonymous

Could you point me to a site with that info?

    • Anonymous

maybe you should go outside more

    • Meagan

Maybe tmobile decided to throttle you.

      • SmileyInLosAngeles

Nope, not throttled. Throttled wouldn’t happen when I’ve used only 300 mb of my 5 gb. Plus, Time Warner Cable wouldn’t have been so slow/ non-existent. I noticed on Twitter others are mentioning the data issues to @TMoNews and so far, :: silent ::.
@Fitch – any sites you could point me to for info on solar flares?

    • Subiedude1212

Same problem for me yesterday in Texas!

  • Meagan

hope they include specs that will handle updates and apps. If not, it is already outdated and lagged before it hits shelves. Android OS needs processing powe and ram. I hope they don’t release something second rated. Competition is fierce if you even want someone to pick up a demo model.

Bundles of Khnowledge you have man

  • Laila Sarangi

I went to one of the T-mobil office at the mall because of my cell phone was’nt working and they told me they are going to send me a used phone tha is working. amonth latter I received a bill and T-mobil charged me $121.00 fro the used phone and nevery told me that about the charge. I called the customer service and they will not work with you and they are very rude people.  I have 7 business cell phone with T-mobil and they rather lose the business account that I have with T-mobil for 6 years then give me the credit.  So I am considering taking my business account to some other company.

    Thanks T-mobil.

    • guest

They charged that to your account because you sent back a phone that had liquid or physical damage and that is not covered under your warranty.  Honestly with most phones the $121 is not a bad deal insurance claims costs $130, your probably better off.  Every carrier would do that to you, T-Mobile probably handles it better than the alternatives.
