Samsung “Exhibit 4G” Hitting T-Mobile Soon?

What’s this I see before us? The Samsung T759 running Android 2.3.3 on T-Mobile? I believe this phone will hit T-Mobile shelves as the Samsung “Exhibit.” We don’t know much about the phone but our ninja said he expected the Exhibit to sport a 3.7″, 480 x 800 AMOLED display and is running Gingerbread 2.3.3 as the image shows. Rumored but unconfirmed specs include a 1.4GHz ARM11 processor, 5 megapixel camera with 720p recording and a VGA front facing camera. There is a definite front facing camera on the images of the Exhibit 4G but the rest of those specs are all rumored for now. Of course we can also tell the Exhibit “4G” will be just that, 4G running on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. Once again no word on if the device will be a 14.4 or 21 HSPA+ device. We’re looking to get a release date and we’ll update as we learn more!

meh…. this phone is luke warm…. quit messing around and get us the Galaxy S2 SOONER.

  • Anonymous

Ugly… so’s the Droid charge… I wonder if the Galaxy S phones (which look sharp) are designed by a different team there at Sammy.

    • Anonymous

Also — the name sounds like something from a court case: “Your honor, the prosecution submits Exhibit 4G…”

      • TypicalWhitePerson

        Hahaha it does

    • http://twitter.com/reuthermonkey Jon

This is obviously a low-end phone. Not supposed to replace the Galaxy S. Supposed to be a couple notches below it.

      • Anonymous

Its pretty high end for a low end affordable phone.

  • TypicalWhitePerson

Another SamSUCK from T-Mobile. Get the iPhone and ship out that HTC Sensation, pronto!! Your not #Winning unless you do.

    • VIVIT

Ahh, it seems you are the typical white person. Putting down Samsung devices and praising the iPhone. How nice.

  • http://twitter.com/eb101 Eli Bohnert

its low end its not the g2x killer!

    • Anonymous

G2x isn’t a contender in comparison in regards to whats coming later.

Samsung Xzibit? Yo Dawg, I heard you like phones, so I put a phone in your phone so you can call while you’re callin’!

  • michael

Good phone for first-time smartphone owner and people who don’t care about dual core and 2.4+. 1.4GHz processor..but..ARM11?!? WHY ARM11!?!? Didn’t everyone stop using that, I dunno, 9 months ago? 4G, FFC, and HD video recording is good though.

  • Anonymous

I thought this was a low-end phone at first, just from the way it looked lol

  • thaghost

Looks like ffc’s are becoming standard, even on midrange phones like this n the sidekick. Feel sorry for my g2 brethren :(

    • YaddaYaddaSomething

Not a big fan of Front Facing cameras. I don’t need people video calling me while I’m at work or out driving. Speaking of which, it’s only a matter of time before congress or state legislature is going to pass a law banning video chatting and driving at the same time. “16 year old so-and-so died early Monday morning while driving to school because s/he was video chatting with her friends.”

      Plus, I love my G2. Mmm… G2 goodness.

  • Zeroisjdm

Yeah, definitely 1.4 ghz with a quadrant square in the 900′s

this is a 1ghz processor at most, affordable 4G handset from T-mobile….i predecit more info on this….oh…idk tomorrow ;)

  • Questioner

I dunno… I wouldn’t be surprised this phone has qwerty hiding under that belly. Besides, physical keyboard phones usually have a smaller screen, like a 3.7″.

  • http://twitter.com/mrjlwilliams J. Williams

I won’t say anything bad about this ‘ugly’ phone. I will just say keep it coming T-Mobile.

Infuse and next is Exhibit for T-mobile

  • Soonerdew

Why waste time on this when we’re really all waiting for information about the Galaxy S2?

  • Carmen Diva

they have all these similar devices

    1)Samsung Vibrant
    2)Samsunng Nexus S
3)Samsung Galaxy S 4g(A vibrant with 4g, bigger screen and FFC)
    4)and now Samsung Exhibit

I really hope they do get the GS2 just because i am tired of all these devices from Samsung
on tmobile not being anything more than a slight enhancement of the last

    • Zeroisjdm

Good to know the Vibrant 4G has a bigger screen than the Vibrant.

Your attempt at looking smart ended in a big big Fail. :]

  • Meagan

Does it include a prepaid sim? I’ll be its only attractive selling feature. Is fugly the new marketing direction for @Tmobile:disqus ? Congrats Tmobile Marketing for getting another WINNER of a mobile in your already overdone 3.7″ Android collection.

Other carriers had 4.3″ Androids with LED(flash) for almost a year now. None to be found at Tmobile.

Another carrier will have a 4.5″ Android with LED(flash) in 5 days.

Even if you don’t want a 4.5″ Android with LED(flash), its going to bring peeps into the store and/or peeps will take notice.

    @Tmobile:twitter
, you’ve got a great price and bars in a lot of places, and UMA if you really need it. None of this is pointed out in your Ads. @Tmobile you need a few mobiles to stand out in the crowd. Looky what is selling like hotcakes at Verizon and Sprint.

Don’t get me wrong, I say all of this with love…

That’s a feature phone, I can’t believe you guys are really saying this is going to be a smartphone.

Those specs sound unreal, first off the new Sammy’s definitely will all look like the Galaxy S II or near that form factor, a phone with a 1.4ghz processor from Sammy shouldn’t be that much thicker than the Galaxy S II coming from AT&T I think this is a bad rumor. I don’t believe it and if it does drop no one will buy a phone that’s that thick. Bad move.

    • yyevo

Seriously, dude? You really need to learn to relax.

    • Anonymous

If it runs Android, it’s a smartphone by definition.

  • ihatefanboys

i know some of you will disagree, but i will never, ever, ever buy a smartphone made by samsung. EVER…if they make a 60inch TV, ill buy that…..samsung should actually stick to just making tv’s, theyre good at that. phones….not so much.

    • Mmmaxhearoom

Until you have to replace the crappy power supply in said tv. Mine died three years in. Thank god I know how to fix things would have cost half as much as tv.

Oh let me guess because of behold 2 or because the us variants of the Galaxy S had gps issues? get over yourself.

I can’t see how a 1.4ghz proc would score so low on quadrant…

    • Pdinero

is the type of proccesor is probably running at older version of clockspeed

    • SladeNoctis

Its quadrant on a samsung phone that most likely is coded the same way most samsung phones are coded. Most 1st gen samsung phones aren’t supported correctly on quadrant. Plus i would never trust quadrant since it can be easily manipulated.

  • JtotheF

this phone is not sexy, not many of the upcoming Sammy phones are outside of the Galaxy S II… we had a Samsung rep come in to our store and were not impressed at all.

  • cloo44

did you take the pictures with you iphone? looks like it

  • http://newbestgadget.com Best Gadgets

these “mid-range” phones are actually pretty nice! it’s great Android phones for somebody who’s on the budget. I hope these two phones work well with AT&T’s network, after the merger.

  • Anonymous

1.4ghz.  That is some bad ass specs for a mid range phone. With a 3.7 inch screen this guy will fly. Sporting Gingerbread on top of those specs, this is a very good phone. For a company being bought up by it’s competition, T-Mobile is pushing out more bad ass phones then any of the other Big Dogs are. If T-Mobile only knew how to advertise they would IMO be THE TOP DOG. If more customers just tried their Network they would never leave. I was with all the other Networks before trying T-Mobile, I have never left or want to leave, they are that good IMO.

Why is it so thick? I mean it looks like it should have a slide out qwerty

THIS PHONE IS GOOD.  The Exhibit 4G ships with
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on board. While this OS has been technically
“available” since December, few handsets are shipping with it even now.
Gingerbread contains lots of small refinements, including a significant
speed boost and smoother animations, although there’s nothing
earth-shaking about it. Still, it’s nice to have. The Exhibit 4G is a quad-band
    EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band HSPA+ 21 (1700/2100 MHz)
device with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. That makes it a true 4G device as far  as I’m concerned, at least in terms of real-world performance
