New Do More Plans Planned For February 23rd Delayed?

We just received word that the new Promotional Single Line Plans that were set to launch on February 23rd have been delayed. According to our ninja, T-Mobile’s marketing department has asked for more time to properly communicate the launch of these new plans. No word was given on any expected time frame moving forward, but, as stated this morning, we’re still hearing rumors for a T-Mobile overhaul of all current rate plans coming sometime this summer. Either way, this promotional offering was looking mighty good so we’ll keep our ear to the ground looking for a new launch date!

    MY GUESS IS
*probably offering more GB Data Usage from 100-200(500 would be nice)
*it would be confusing to consumers seeing 3 different $79.99 rate plans. (ex. 500mins/text/unl wb @ $79.99 + 1500mins/text/unl web @$79.99 + Unl everything $79.99)
*if they do it for family, how much with those addaline cost vs the old $40 Unl Mins addaline
    **just a hunch…..

I am not crazy about these new upcoming plans. My unlimited loyalty plan would be the exact same. Unlimited everything for $79/mo. I got that as a loyal customer and eventually anyone can get it. Is this company that desperate for new people?

Unlimited Loyalty plan? I got the game all wrong

@ Mattmjb0188: “……Is this company that desperate for new people?…..”

Its more about getting new people and taking care of the current people. in your case, you are set with your loyalty plan, but there a people out there who are unaware of it.

      • Mattmjb0188

True. It’s just that I’ll know there is something equivalent out there for new people. They offer their loyal customers something better than.

        • Chatter

I understand your comment but you did get the “special” discounted rate for all these months/years which saved you money. Maybe a better plan/offering/discount will be offered to you in the future? I have been with TMo for years and they always find a way to make it “better” for me.

        • Mattmjb0188

Time will tell. It just kind of bothered me but I am really glad others will be able to take advantage of T-Mobile’s savings. They are great!!! I know the more customers they get the more money and then they can expand HSPA+ more.

        • Chatter

Absolutely. I do think that TMo will find a way to make it up to you since you have been with them for long. I agree with you that more customers will hopefully improve things for all of us. I live in a dead zone and still stick with them using wifi calling so I am either nuts or really like their customer service!

Actually the Loyalty plans are grandfathered plans now and are no longer available to be moved to. You cant even convert a single line loyalty into a family loyalty

      • Mattmjb0188

I know. But what I am saying is if the new plans with unlimited everything come out for $79.99 then that will be exactly what the old loyalty plan was just under a new name. You can’t get a loyalty plan now unless you are a qualifying customer but why would you want to when all you have to do is change your plan to the NEW Unlimited Talk+Text+Web for $79.99/mo?

      • c33lo

u can move to it i think , u might have an Early Term Fee in the process.

But not everyone knows about the Loyal customer plan I would think. I know i didn’t

Problem with the Unlimited Loyalty plan is that discounts CANNOT be applied to it.

The new plan you can apply any discount.

      • Uniteslilfreak

        Correct!

      • Mattmjb0188

Looks everyone is missing my point.

Actually the Loyalty plans were more expensive, at 49.99 for Unl talk and the $35 unlimited combo (which was available at the launch of Loyalty{march ’09}) you pay 84.98 not 79.99. This is however a win for everyone, As someone stated, I’m suret-mobile will think of some innovative way to thank their loyal customers, but this, whenever it does launch, will be good for everyone and make it easier to sell someone on T-Mobile vs Sprint’s Unlimited to Any Mobile Plan, which would cost the same thing with their “4G” surcharge.

Dunno… mine is 50 (voice) + my original g1 dataplan for 25 = $75 total. Actually, I lied, since I family planned the minutes with my wife, so each line is actually only $45+$25 = $70. Still though, would be nice if it was cheaper – like a family plan data plan or something ;)

        • c33lo

who is cheaper? u actually saving 70-130 less if u were to switch … and u also saving 20-40 if the new rate plan was 79 for ind and 149 for family …

        • joe

How so… mine is 70 per person, or 140 a month for the family, which is 10 dollars cheaper either way than the new plan…

        • jdog84

But that original $0 you pay for the minutes doesnt include text, neither did the $25 data plan but maybe 400. The unl family text for the loyalty plan was another $25.

T-Mobile loves families. If you listen to all they ad’s (especially the instore PA’s) they talk about the whole family and the father’s day promo was all about helping dad stay in touch with the kids.. :)

    @Mattmjb0188

I know what your trying to say that you dont feel special anymore because now everyone can get the same price you are currently getting so that ticks you off a lil because you felt u had one up on everyone else, I understand your a loyal customer just like me but hey you are at T-Mobile just like me and yes you can go somewhere else. I’m tired of current customers always saying i’ve been a loyal customer and thinks they deserve the world when that is incorrect noone is telling you to stay with t they are the better value. As for Sprint i think T-Mobile having unlimited everything is great, people say i get unlimited any mobile really people you dont call schools, take out, doctors ext

I just realized there is a Verizon blog site now at the top of this site. Someone sleeping with the enemy? Funny though there is not one single comment in any of the articles so I guess its pretty new.

  • Disciple4life1998

the new prices are a dream come true for sales reps who hear time and time again about sprints plan. if marketed correctly we can pull in so many more customers and show how we save money for the individual and the family. this is great for everyone, and i look forward to it as well cause i am a tmobile customer not just a sales rep.

  • Mactwndon

I’m on Sprint Sero Premium at $40 a month which includes unlimited txt and data with unlimited nites starting at 7pm, and unlimited any mobile to any mobile. If T-Mobile can come close to that, I will switch over in a heartbeat

I have to be honest with everyone here. I have been with T-Mobile since 2001 and have some kind of loyalty plan and it is complicated but saves me money. I have 4 phones on my bill. family plan. If they came out with a lower cost unlimited everything and it would save me money every month, I’d jump off that loyalty plan sooo fast and it would not bother me who got it. I
