T-Mobile G2 Free On T-Mobile.com

Oh, how we love a good deal and this one comes courtesy of T-Mobile.com with the T-Mobile G2 going for the low low price of…free! Of course, this requires a new 2-year commitment. Sounds like a good deal if you ask me and it isn’t Samsung so that alone might be enough to entice a few of you!

is this still free if you are in contract until may and want to upgrade right now to this?

  • Bob

Folks listen…..log into mytmobile. If you see the G2 for free, then log out, call customer care on 611 when you get the IVR announcements say contract, (just as the poster below has stated) you will get the retention department and they will work with you. They will waive all fees. Well maybe not in most cases but they will help out. I was not eligible for several more months but the G2 showed up as free but with upgrade fees and delivery charges and the $50 mail in rebate. Retention will work with you..

Tried this method and it didn’t work. They were quoting me $249.99 each cuz I wasn’t at full upgrade level yet. But it does show as free on mytmobile.com. CSR even logged into my account, saw that it was free, and couldn’t do anything about it.

You need to speak to someone in the customer loyalty department, not a standard CSR.

Rinsed and repeated, CSR even said she was in Customer Loyalty Department when she answered. She came down by $100 this time, but said the same thing, to go ahead and order online instead. Weird that this is not working for me.

Went online to check out the deal again this morning and noticed that the prices for all the other phones have dropped, for instance the mytouch4g for me yesterday with a 2yr contract extension was 199, today its 99….has anyone else notice this?

    • darron

I think it’s a 50% off deal that started today. Talk to a in-store rep and they said this was coming. I THINK he said it was only on HTC phones.

      • Dax

I am not sure, I just logged into the website and clicked upgrade to check the price on a G2. The price was free so went through the steps and its free. It seems to good to be true. I told my friend who has a Slide about it which he purchased in the summer, he got the free upgrade price also.

I have the $30 upgrade fee and the $50 mail in rebate…but I can get $200 for my Vibrant at least so its a win/win

our upgrade was not ready until june and it said free for two of our lines. I went to order them a few minutes later and it said 99.99 after rebates. I called and said “contract” told the lady it went from free to 99 after rebates in just a matter of minutes and she got me two free g2′s with not doing any rebates or upgrade fee! Only shipping for 6 bucks each!

  • Tastyf4lif
