BUT I WILL TELL THEM “FRET NOT, BECAUSE YOU TOO CAN HAVE THIS AWESOME PHONE IF YOU CONVERT TO T-MOBILE!!” I WILL PULL OUT THIS PHONE IN AWKWARD SITUATIONS. I WILL USE IT AS AN ICE BREAKER. I …WILL USE THIS PHONE FOR A PHONE AS WELL. I WILL HAVE MOVIE NIGHT, INVITING 30 OR MORE PEOPLE TO GATHER AROUND M PHONE AND WATCH A BLOCKBUSTER RENTAL. I WILL DO MANY GREAT THINGS WITH THIS GREAT PHONE.

  • Mimi

If I had an HD2 I wouldn’t need to enter the contest.

  • Cybersedan

That’s a pretty clever add, is that running on TV or youtube only?

  • Futurvisionary

I got mine on launch day but returned it today. Windows is just too glitchy and freezes way to much for the beast hardware under the hood. Ill be waiting for the EVO from Sprint. I dont want to leave tmobile but Im tired of my g1 and nothing else will be up to par after enjoying the HD2 hardware… My wife is staying and if I win a free HD2 ill gladly take it… but i wont pay for it….

    • FILA

no no no, I really think you should wait till later summer early fall. If you didnt hear, T-Mobile is rumored to drop a phone to take advantage of the 21Mbps 3G or HSPA+ I think its gonna be a beast of a phone. I think its gonna be just like the Evo, but running stock Android which is a plus, dont like UI’s on top of Android. And remember all the original G1 owners who signed a 2 Year contract at launch day is ending this year. I think T-Mobile will be out with there next biggest phone whatever it will be called by then, who knows possibly an official G2

    • pavel

Yeah I got one too. and i have restored it a few times already, because it keeps freezing. i hope not all the phones are like this.

  • daniel

What would I do with a winmo phone? clean the toilet?

  • Danny Thai

Entered contest, loving my HTC HD2. I can totally understand why they haven’t really used capacitive screens before. I’ve been to parts of the phone where it was a pain to get input exactly where I wanted. Otherwise, I love the phone! I am FINALLY satisfied with my phone’s screen size, thinness, and call quality. The call quality is clear and loud on this phone. Call quality knocks my previous phones’ (T-Mobile Shadow 2007 and T-Mobile Touch Pro 2) out of the water.

By the way David, I’m totally NOT digging the new TmoNews layout… I hope you guys change it back to the old style.

    • sorandkairi

The older 2007 version was “da bomb” for like 2 weeks, lol! Seriously I thought i wa the only person that bought that phone!

  • Miguel

Geez is this still tmonews.com or hd2news.com? Like 8 of the last 10 stories have been all about the HD2.

How about the fact that Nexus One accessories will be sold in Tmo stores soon?

How about the fact that Google just released the car dock for the Nexus One?

How about the fact that there the possibility the Samsung Galaxy S superphone could be headed to T-Mobile?

How about the fact that HTC recently credited T-Mobile and Verizon with it’s success in the U.S.?

THERE IS OTHER TMO RELATED NEWS OUT THERE!

    • David, Managing Editor

Thanks Miguel, I’m pretty well aware of all T-Mobile stories out there, some of them require more attention than others. The HD2 is a bigger story than a car dock which is going up in a minute or two anyway.

  • sorandkairi

Dude that would be a straight copy pasty job from engadget then now wouldnt it!?

    • sorandkairi

and let it be KNOWN that i was referring to Miguel

    • Miguel

Yes, but alot of blog news is generated that way, mixed in with exclusives. Engadget has quoted Tmonews many times.
