Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 getting updated security patches from T-Mobile

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4 tablet is getting a new software update from T-Mobile this weekend.

T-Mobile is updating the Galaxy Tab S4 to version T837TUVS2BSF2. The update weighs in at 187.23MB and, like the other recent Samsung device updates we’ve seen lately, this one includes the June 2019 Android security patches.

The update is now rolling out over the air, so if you’ve got a Galaxy Tab S4, you should see it hit your device in the coming days. It’s also available by launching your Settings app and selecting “Software update” followed by “Download updates manually.”

This new Galaxy Tab S4 update comes to us a couple of months after the Samsung tablet got its last software update. That previous one included Android Pie and the March 2019 security patches, so it’s good to see another update arrive with more up-to-date security patches.

Thanks, Mr P!

I wish would Sammy and TMO would fix the draining battery. I’ve noticed a significant drop in battery since the Pie upgrade.

The update is also available for the wi-fi version.

I wonder if they will abandon this tablet as quickly as they did the Galaxy Tab S2.. It was over a year from it’s last update to when the S4 was released. These are expensive tablets to have no updates and no replacement model available.

That why I will not buy anymore android tablets!! Looking to buy a windows unlocked lte tablet! Most windows tablets you can get keyboard make for that tablet. Even those I am using 2014 10.1 Note I got for really good price from ebay. Go on ebay you will see all the widows tablets they had for At&t and Big Red! But not Tmo,go figure!

The Tab S4 is on “the list” to get Android Q according to Samsung Central. They usually update them for a couple of years, but this one in particular can cost $900.00 if you get the keyboard case. I think they should pass updates for at least 3 years on the Tab S line.

Either they don’t offer them to Tmo,or they turn them down,Samsung has lte window tablets that sold by At&t,and Big Red,but not for Tmo,have no idea why.For $900,I rather buy Surface Go unlock,at least I know it will get updates.

Surface go is stupid slow. Makes Windows feel unuseable even though you can technically get do more on Windows than Android

I have the original Tab S, which still works fine, though it it slow because of the processor. I upgraded to the Tab S4, wi-fi, 256GB version which I got on sale over the holidays. Very happy with the Tab S4, and use the S-Pen frequently. It is worth the money for the large AMOLED display.
