HTC 8X And 8S Hands-On Videos, HTC Explains The “Iconic Design”

Lots of video goodness here as we take a look at some of the hands on videos coming out of HTC’s Windows Phone 8 announcement. We’re definitely excited to see HTC drop not one, but two HTC handsets on T-Mobile powered by Windows Phone 8 as  T-Mobile needs a second OS to love and without the iPhone, Windows Phone 8 may be the next big thing.

Take a look at the hands-on videos as they pop up online as well as HTC’s own design videos taking a behind the scenes look at how these devices came together.

Sadly I do not see any access for a SIM card on the 8X model. The 8S looks to have a removable section on the bottom which is where I would assume the SIM card would go…

Correction: Just saw the other article updated. I guess we will be getting the 8X. Still would like to know where the SIM goes.

    • The 8x takes a micro sim you insert it on the side of the phone.

  • charles4

    that’s the thingking

I’m making the switch from Android once the 8x hits the shelves!! I wasn’t sure I was ever going to get excited about a windows phone.

  • Chatter

Agree. No iphone so this is the only option to Android. I dont really consider blackberry a viable option at ths point.

Nice… HTC 8X might be an alternative to the Lumia 920 if it’s not available on T-Mobile’s network.

    • believe me if T-mobile is getting the 8X there’ll be no nokia. Matter of fact tmobile should ditch them for making the 920 att exclusive.

      • Georgie1234

They are getting the 920 but i think this is better

  • arnold

    where’s the one x+????

    • It’s under the TmoNews search function for “cancelled or indefinitely delayed.”

      • Ok.go

I got information from a htc rep that t-mobile decided to not pick it up..

      • JayInCA

This is the second time I’ve read this, that you recommend people interested in filling themselves in on the bad news about the One X+ to to to the search function and look it up. I went to the “Search The Site” Search bar with the magnifying glass a the top right of this site’s page, and have entered various search terms, none yielding any stories or information on discusssions about the HTC One X+. What am I missing? Could you provide a direct link to the the “cancelled or indefinitely delayed” information you mention? Thanks David.

  • ogopogo

Seems almost on par with the Lumia 920…….almost.

  • Thanks T-Mobile. Looks like you’ll have me for another 2 years.

  • fixxmyhead

what “iconic design” all HTC phones look very similar. this one looks like an altered One X

  • Nathan Aker

This is one thing i love about HTC the build quality and design of their phones are amazing. which is the one thing i don’t like about my GS3, boring design.

  • GwapoAko

Looks nice! Good job HTC and Tmobile!

  • Going to pick one of this up for sure.

  • Bud

    No thanks

  • Paul Garrison

This might be the phone(8X) for me, but I don’t know if I should leave Android behind.

    • David

You should. Switch and you will be much happier. I did it and there is no way I go back to android ever again!

  • od312

    Looks like the lumia 900

  • GinaDee

I like the 8x. Please T-Mobile get this and future-proof it with LTE and sell it for $199.99 w/o MIR.

I’d also like the option to add tethering to the new unlimited data plan for $15 extra. I’d pay it.

    • TMO has already announced it’s coming .. and it’s not LTE. no price yet though.

    • Georgie1234

That’s never going to happen, if they offered truly unlimited plus tethering people would just cancel their home internet

  • Rob Daman

looks cool. i just want a android version and i’m golden.

  • Gouv

    good job htc!!
