T-Mobile cuts $100 off prices of Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note 5

tmogalaxys6unboxing

Yesterday I told you about a solid deal that T-Mobile is offering on the LG G4. Now T-Mo has rolled out some discounts on Samsung flagships, too.

T-Mobile is offering $100 off the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note 5. The discount appears to be automatic, too, so you don’t have to worry about entering a promo code to get your savings. With the discount, the Galaxy S6 starts at $479.99, the Galaxy S6 edge is $579.99, the Galaxy S6 edge+ is $679.99, and the Galaxy Note 5 is $599.99. Those prices are all for the 32GB versions of those devices, but if you’d prefer to have more internal storage (which you might since this year’s Galaxy flagships don’t have microSD slots), you can upgrade to 64GB and still get $100 off.

As a reminder, T-Mobile is also offering a JUMP! On Demand deal on the Galaxy S6. If you have an eligible trade-in, you can get a 32GB Galaxy S6 for $0 down and $0 per month, leaving you to pay just the sales tax. Because this is a JOD lease, you’ll have to turn your phone in after 18 months or pay it off if you want to keep it.

Here is the list of phones that you can trade in to get the $0 down, $0 payments price on the Galaxy S6:

iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

There are also JOD deals on Samsung’s other Galaxy flagships. You can get the S6 edge starting at $0 down and $4 per month, the S6 edge+ starting at $0 down and $8 per month, or the Note 5 starting at $0 down and $5 per month. As with the Galaxy S6 deal, those prices require an eligible trade-in.

These Galaxy offers will be good through November 29, so you’ve got a few days to take advantage of ‘em.

what a stupid deal, you already own one of those devices if youre looking to trade it in now youre going to give it to tmobile so they can give you a galaxy s6 to rent for 18 months and then you gotta pay them $200+ if you want to keep it, and you gotta pay sales tax upfront, stupid deal all around

  • mustang8918

I just got my Note 5 last week, I guess I’ll be calling customer care tomorrow to try and get this $100 off.

    • Golbez352

Send it back under buyers remorse then?

      • Starcube

        $50 restocking fee.

  • kev2684

To anyone who trade in their iPhones or galaxy note 5 or s6/edge/+ to T-Mobile for a discounted galaxy note 5 or s6/edge/+ on JoD bless your heart

    • DILAW IDDAHLA

Yeah, not a smart thing to do

  • mustang8918

kev, if you’ve recently purchased one I think they will just subtract the 100 from what you already owe. I’m not gonna do the whole sending a phone in and waiting on another thing.

    • TaekwonBo

I just bought one less than a week ago haven’t made any payment yet. Will be seeing if they will adjust the price for me.

      • Corey Jalette

They should they did for me I got one last Friday.

        • TaekwonBo

Did you have to go through hoops or talk to anyone special?

        • TaekwonBo

UPDATE: Got my EIP adjusted 100 off. Tried via chat with no success so I made a call and the rep was extremely helpful and made the adjustment with no questions asked. Love T-Mobile

        • Bemi

Did you buy your device at the store or online? They are telling me to go back to the store and return it and buy it back

        • TaekwonBo

I bought it at a local Costco. I understand that if you return it there’s a restocking fee of 50 bucks, so if it’s worth the 50 buck loss you would now only save 50. You can also try posting to social media. Good luck!

        • bakgwailo

Did you get the -250 Costco price though ?

        • TaekwonBo

I still received and mailed in the paperwork for the rebate. So I’m still expecting it.

        • bakgwailo

Well, I mean, Costco is giving $250, not sure why someone would take the $100 from TMobile instead. Pretty sure if you return it, the $250 Costco rebate is not going to work.

        • TaekwonBo

bakgwailo You are corrected it wouldn’t make sense. In my case after purchasing my note for $699.00 from Costco, I mailed in my $250 rebate then a few days later I called TMO and they credited my EIP $100 down to $599. Here’s my total deal which I must say I scored a pretty good deal.

          $650 ($599.00 + $50 tax) Note 5
          -$20.00 (apprx) Generic Portable Charger
          -$225.00 Costco Cash Card Rebate
          -$25.00 Costco Cash Card Rebate
          -$50.00 T-Mobile Samsung Pay Promo
-$299.00 Value Samsung Level on Promotion
Samsung Wireless Charger (Samsung Level On Promo)
Samsung Portable Charger (Samsung Level On Promo)
Samsung Level On Headphone (Samsung Level On Promo)

        • bakgwailo

So wait, they reduced it? I just picked up an Edge, and tried calling customer care but they wouldn’t give me the 100$ off as it was bought in Costco and not a retail store (they wanted me to return it at costco and then buy it at tmobile).

        • TaekwonBo

Nope they did it. They didn’t even ask questions. Sorry man. Maybe you can keep trying until you get the right person.

  • DILAW IDDAHLA

Does anyone know if this offer is available @ store? The LG4 offer of $324.99 is not available in store by the way, that’s why I am asking.

    • Alex Wagner

I’m not seeing any mention of whether or not the $100 off deals are in stores, but the product pages and T-Mobile’s Black Friday weekend page (http://explore.t-mobile.com/samsung-phone-offer) do say that the JUMP! On Demand deals are available in stores.

      • william43

In store I was told I had to get $100 in accessories to get $100 off the phone, starting to think that was just a “sells” trick but my girl got a fitbit while I got a new phone so I’m good.

    • Corey Jalette

It should be available in stores. It doesn’t specify online only. I bought a note 5 last Friday and yeaterday they credited it to my eip balance. Can call and ask your local store tho.

    • gabegw11

      Yes it’s in the store.

  • henucu

for the 0 down, 0 monthly payment deal, can the eligible trade-in phone be something that is already on a JOD lease? in other words, can a existing JOD customer trade-in his current iphone 6 and get this deal?

    • DILAW IDDAHLA

No, has to be a trade in of a device that’s 100% pause off.

      • henucu

Incorrect. Just traded in my iPhone 6 and got s6 edge. IPhone 6 was already on JOD and i paid onlyb2 payments so far. I lost those payments but got new s6 for 0 down and 0 payment. I asked tmo Facebook earlier and they confirmed this is applicable for existing customers too

        • Alex

As a RSA, I am sure you MUST trade in a device that it is already paid off, because the trade in value is divided between the 18 months, instead of giving you the trade in value in front. Idk if the RSA just wanted to get his commission, or you are just one of those that “just because they told me this or that” and the RSA didnt want to deal with you and gave the phone to you.

        • henucu

I didn’t argue much to be honest , just asked the agent if he can get the deal for me nicely and he did it.

        • DILAW IDDAHLA

I want to know how your 1st bill will look like. I have been told awesome things by agents and when the bill came, they were wrong. I know a TRADE IN (The deals where they give you monthly discounts like $0/month for 18 months and such) are legit when you trade in a device that you FULLY paid off not a JOD device. The only time you turn in a JOD device is if they just lowered the total price of a device and you go for it. That’s what I did when I turned in my JOD S6 which I leased (Price was $579) and I got another S6 because the price was dropped to $479.

        • DILAW IDDAHLA

I actually told the same agent “I have a Note 4 on JUMP and I have paid over 50% of it’s value, can I get the S6 for $0/month or $10/month?” He said “No, with JUMP you can turn your Note 4 in and get whatever phone you want and we would cover the reamining value, but you have to buy another device for the total price of the phone you pick.”

        • DILAW IDDAHLA

I just got a s6 from a corporate T-Mobile store yesterday and I turned in a s6 which was on jod. I got the new s6 for $21/month. When you have a jod you don’t even say “I am trading in a s6” you say “I am turning in a s6” because it’s a leased phone. Where a trade in you must own the phone. I even asked a T-Mobile agent and he said jod phones don’t qualify for the trade in

        • DILAW IDDAHLA

Another thing, think about it for a second. So I can go get a galaxy s6 for $25/month and go “trade it in” in a month and get another s6 for $0/month? T-Mobile would lose money if that’s the case. I don’t know how you got the deal they gave you

        • henucu

I get what you are trying to say. I am not sure how they gave it for the JOD device, but I am not complaining.

  • Justin Heard

Silly question but I’m new to T-Mobile and was curious if they ever really offer any deals for current JOD members. I know I can upgrade at any time (3 times a year) but is there ever any added incentive to do so?

Example: Jump to X device for $15 a month! Or whatever.

    • gabegw11

Yes when they released the new iPhone 6S Plus, I was able to get 128 GB for 0 down and also 19/month. It was like a one day only thing. I had already been on JOD with the 6 Plus. It was a better deal then my 6 Plus pricing.

  • PiCASSiMO

I’ll take the LG G4, thank you.

  • logical

    680 for a 32gb phone, lol

    • HeatFan786

Apple charges more for a 16GB iPhone 6S+.

    • mustang8918

logical, tmobile has the 64gb note 5 for $679.

  • pdoobs

How many of the Samsung Promos would stack with this? I did the ultimate test drive can I do the trade in with google play credit plus the Samsung pay promos and the free headphones and charger ones?

  • Bemi

I jumped from the Note 4 to the Note 5 on Sunday. Just spoke to t-mobile rep and was told to take it along with all the paper work and return it. I was worried since I was on EIP if it will work she said it would. That’s for anyone who wanted to know as well. It’s a difference of 5 dollars for me.

Costco Online is now offering a 150.00 rebate on newer Samsung Devices.
