This phone is a spec monster. Too bad we can’t JUMP! ’till January :(

  • http://twitter.com/SParKlngCyaNide SparklingCyanide

For a Monster device like the G2, $99 down is very reasonable if you’re in the market for a new device.

    • Paul

I was thinking the same thing, for a $99 down deal, and $21 a month, it’s a freakin steal with the specs.
The Note 3 will likely be more cash down.

  • PiCASSiMO

Waiting for the 2nd gen Nexus 4… and then I’ll make my decision.

    • Aztec713

      or Nexus 5 :)

      • PiCASSiMO

If they increase the screen size from 4.7 to 5.x, then yes, they will probably change the name to Nexus 5.

But just like the Nexus 7, screen size did not changed, hence the name stayed the same.

        • Chris

It was called Nexus 4 because it was the fourth Nexus

        • AndroidProfit

Maybe I am confused but I thought there was talk of a refresh to the 4 and then an additional phone which could be the Nexus 5?

but look how rumors can turn out to be completely wrong case in point key lime pie.

        • Dakota

If they were to only release one phone , it would be stupid to still use the same 4. I dont care if you say 4Plus or whatever. Customers want a NEW device and calling it the same thing doesnt make it seems as refreshed. it all depends on the features 4.4. has..The fact they didnt jump to 5.0 dampers expectations already. But if they release another high end phone at a $350 price, they really should do a much wider marketing campaign aimed at the general public. With TMobile no longer subsidizing and the rise of prepaid carriers and people wanting to save money, an unlocked phone at that price paired with 40-60$ rate plans becomes attractive to a lot more people than just developers and Phandroids

        • AndroidProfit

I guess we shall see fairly soon what Google has up their sleeves. Another possibility is that if they are planning on a Nexus 5 with a bigger screen maybe they will keep the, “Nexus 4″ for the smaller phone. Sort of like how the Nexus 7 has kept it’s name.

        • PiCASSiMO

They will be fine calling it Nexus 4 again and again. Look at the iPod touch. Or iPod nano. Or the Nexus 7. All of them have several generations of iterations and still retaining the initial/original name.

If the 2nd gen Nexus 4 screen is less than 5-inches diagonally, they will most likely still call it Nexus 4. If there is a bump in size to 5 or more, it will be Nexus 5.

        • Jarobusa

What will the 7th Nexus device be called then? Nexus 7? LOL

        • PiCASSiMO

So what happens when we get the 7th generation of Nexus phones? Will it be called Nexus 7 mixed in with Nexus 7 tab? I think the 4th generation was just a coincidence.

        • Aztec713

No i am sure they did it because it was a phone in the 4″ range and the 4th generation.

        • Aztec713

and now we have this to work with http://phandroid.com/2013/09/05/lg-d820-fcc-nexus-5/

    Moto X FFS

    • http://www.facebook.com/doxas Steven Doxas

      Jesus! Tell me about it!

    • VG

I’m with you. US Cellular, Verizon and AT&T are now selling the X, but no update on the T-Mobile version. T-Mobile and Sprint customers still waiting. Pretty sad that US Cellular has the phone available before T-Mo.

      • kalel33

It came out today that Sprint will being getting the Moto X tomorrow. T-mobile is now the only carrier without it.

      • Dakota

Sprints getting it tomorrow and the price is 199 with a 2 year contract for existing customers but $99 for new customers through October 10. And apparently that $100 is an INSTANT CREDIT…None of the stupid mail rebate stuff Tmobile used to pull. Didnt Tmobile say they werent selling the MotoX? I thought there was going to be a version that worked on Tmobile only. I guess many arent into the X and theres some reason Tmobile hasnt jumped on the bandwagon but youre right, at times like this when you see regional carriers get devices first, it just reinforces the low end image TMobile is trying to shake

        • VG

Motorola was supposed to sell the T-Mobile version of the X directly from their web site. If you look at the Motorola web site now, you’ll see “Coming Soon” if you select “T-Mobile” from the carrier drop-down menu, but no news anywhere when “soon” might be.

I agree … it makes T-Mobile look bad when they are the last carrier to get a highly-promoted phone weeks/months after AT&T and Verizon (and every other carrier). Although I still have my doubts that Moto X will be a big hit due to the price … I’m eager to see what the T-Mobile non-contract price will be.

  • Impatient Waiter

the F3 JUST came out like last month! And releasing the G2 the same day as the Note III, um…good luck LG, you’ll need it lol

    • jonathan3579

The Note 3 isn’t coming to US carriers until October. I guess you didn’t watch the unveiling yesterday. September 25 is the international release. October is the US release.

  • DWAYNE GRAY

Latest report says in stores on the 9th advertising starts on the 18th as well as online.

    • jonathan3579

      Where did you see this?

      • DWAYNE GRAY

Android central said their tmo insider confirmed. They have the article up

        • jonathan3579

Ah I see the update now. Thanks!

  • Joe

I dont understand the naming of Tmobile devices. First we have the G1 a full qwerty then the G2 a full qwerty then the G2x a touch screen only and now another G2 that is touch screen only. It makes no sense. Just like how they released the t599 as the exhibit, when they already had a phone named the exhibit. Stop it Tmo!

    • Koi

Tmo didn’t choose the name for this device, LG did. All the letters and numbers following the LG or Optimus moniker are chosen by LG as parts of different product lines.

    • kev2684

T-Mobile G1, T-Mobile G2, and T-Mobile G2X are all T-Mobile branded handsets from different manufacturers. LG G2 is LG’s line. it’s the Optimus G line. they just dropped ‘Optimus’ all together and going with the G brand.

    • Dakota

Guess thats another thing making them an UNcarrier

  • akong702

Can we Pre order the LG G2 with an added family plan option? I wanna buy the phone and use it with my $30 plan.

  • ssl48

So the article needs an update. It’s available for pre-order right now.

  • Shane

Just pre ordered mine! Says I will have it by the 13th. Hopefully sooner!

    • jonathan3579

I can’t seem to preorder one. It says to login and then loses the page. :(

    • akong702

Pre ordered mine earlier today, and there’s no mention of ship date anywhere. Also, I called in to verify, and they have no idea when it is shipping…

  • kalel33

It’ll be interesting to see if LG can finally come out with a flagship phone on T-mobile without ruining it with software issues. They’ve always had good hardware but the software bugs just diminished what would have been a good phone. There’s no possible way I’d buy one, unless it’s been out for awhile and people aren’t having reboot issues, lag, etc.

    • Dakota

Many are probably wondering if that phone is what the Nexus 5 is going to be like..plus the kitkat of course

  • steveb944

I thought the F6 was announced a long time ago, maybe I’m thinking F3. So the F6 is on par with the L9? L9 is still a better price I think.

    • zx6guy

The difference seems to be LTE.

  • MonkeyK

    So is Tmo’s G2 16GB or 32GB?

    • ANON

      32gb

  • Garo.j

I was hoping that the F6 would be available for monthly 4G customer. I noticed that they didn’t give the full price.

    • Andrew

The full price is in the picture, $629

      • Richard Finzel

If u read he said the “F6″ not the G2

    • landmarkcm

Site says $289.99 full retail price ??..

      • Garo.j

Thanks for the information. I am definitely going to purchase the F6. It’s a decent device

        • landmarkcm

Ya it looks bit better then the F3 and L9 in the camera dept. I wish they would have made it as slim as the L9 although it’s not far off. Now watch the L9 2 will be out next lol. These devices come out so fast. I am currently using an L9 on GoPhone I purchased off Qvc at a good deal. I was thinking of changing to aio as well when they allow short codes.. I am liking At&T’s coverage better & that they allow call forwarding which Tmobile prepaid does not. Always something these days in this gadget driven world right.

        • Garo.j

I am also using a L9 with t-mobile70$ unlimited data plan i get excellent service in my area. I am going to check out aio in my area. Because I am adding a second line soon.

    • Richard Finzel

F6 is $299…. U can still get one at T-Mobile store…. Just got to pay full price at once

      • Garo.j

Thanks I’ll be buying one soon.

        • Dann

          get the nexus 5 instead

        • Garo.j

I am waiting for pricing and a release date for the nexus5.

      • Aaron Peromsik

Seems the specs are about the same as Optimus L9, except for slightly faster processor, and LTE. Tough call, given that Optimus L9 can be had a Wal-Mart for $199 and Amazon for $178.

  • ducktruckguy

The F3 seems to be available from tmobile.com for $240. Is anybody else seeing this?

    • Prod1702

      This is correct.

  • landmarkcm

Wonder how long before the F6 shows up on metroPCS . I thought I read it’s supposed to.?? There prices are usually lower online and should be able to unlock it as well..

  • Jesus Razo Jr.

Where’s the Sony z1 news? This is nice but not over the Z1.

  • PCJ

    im still having G2x nightmares

    • Chris Stubbs

Nightmares? I had mine rooted and put a proper ROM on it. I never had issues. In fact my Mom still has the G2x and she doesn’t have issues.

  • Millerliteguy

Just ordered my G2 – Says estimated delivery is tomorrow

    • akong702

Mine shows 9/11 estimated delivery date :( I ordered with next day shipping too

    • jonathan3579

Did you ever receive yours? Mine says delivery is 9/17.

    • charleshampton

      Did u get your?

    • Millerliteguy

Still says delivery was to be on the 6th – Now it says on back order

  • Chris Stubbs

I’m torn between all these delicious phones coming out.

  • hurrpancakes

Anyone know if T-Mobile is carrying the 16gb or 32gb model? Or are there even different models? I can’t find anything about how much onboard storage the T-Mobile version will have.

    • Prod1702

They have never had 16gb versions or higher of a low end cost phone. I am sure the phone as less then 5gb of storage.

      • hurrpancakes

I was referring to the G2. I should have specified, my mistake

  • guidomus_maximus

    Does anybody have a calculator?
By the headline, I thought we’d get the price here. What I got was a math problem. How about a little value add to the article?
Let me see now. 24 months at 10 that’s $240, 49.99 down, nine and zero is nine, nine and zero is nine, nine and zero is none, four and four is eight, bring down the 2 and so that price is 289.99? Ok, and I guess we’ll just forget time value of money that lowers the finance price vs. cash price.
So its $290? Or did I do the math wrong and I’ll walk away from this otherwise informative article with a complete misunderstanding of the cost?

    • Prod1702

how is it misleading. You pay $49.99 down and 24 payments of $10. 10×24=240, 240+50=290. That means the phone cost is $290. Its simple math really. Your comment is what makes it so confusing seeing you spell out words and trying to put it all together gave me a headache.

  • Bklynman

Does these new phones come with JB,or with Kitkatt,? The phones that have been out awhile,SG3,4? HTC1 etc. will they get a update, will they be eol, before the end of the year.

  • Juwuan Godwin

phone available to purchase though care now.

  • Blis

Hi Admin my interest is to get guidance from you regarding unlocking LG Optimus G Pro. Can you direct me toward worthy code provider. What’s about safeunlockcode dot com/ , whether they are much competent to unlock my phone?
