Samsung Galaxy Note II Demo Devices On Their Way To Retail Stores

Some good news for Galaxy Note II fans as T-Mobile’s demo devices are en route and should arrive sometime tomorrow or early next week. The arrival of demo units is an obvious precursor to launch, and takes us one step closer to the idea that T-Mobile is gearing up to put these on store shelves. At the very least, you’ll be able to pop into a store and go hands on, which will help you ultimately decide if its worth throwing down a price tag that is currently guestimated to be around $299 at Walmart. Seriously, T-Mobile, the faster you put these on store shelves is the faster I can throw money at you.

What’s worse is that we don’t even know when cellphone Christmas is coming!!!

    • nycplayboy78

You are on point today Panther Lady :)

      • thepanttherlady

        Aren’t I always?!!? =P

I wonder if I can just walk to a T-Mobile store and asked if they have the GN2 ready to demo so I can take a look? Or do you think they will follow their rules and not display it until their allowed?

    • thepanttherlady

Probably depends on the store. Some play by the rules, some don’t. :)

      • Freddie Lopez

I’m willing to take the extra mile and go to every T-Mobile store to find out, lol.

        • guest

That’s beyond pathetic and I’m an Android fanatic by all means…

    • Benjamin@tmo

Probably not. We usually keep demos in the back before launch. If you do, be prepared to give up your car while you hold it. lol

      • thepanttherlady

Sooooo….if you have them in the back before launch, are you allowed to show them if a customer asks? *bats eyes* And will they be live demo’s?

        • Freddie Lopez

Or if we asked nicely and give ya’ll complements can I sees it early?

        • Benjamin@tmo

Like you* mentioned earlier, depends on if the store plays by all the rules ;P Most of the time, we get demo phones only a day or two ahead of scheduled launch.

        • thepanttherlady

Ohhhh Benjamin, we’re asking what YOU would do. WWBD? =P Also, do you know if you’ll be getting live demos?

        • Benjamin@tmo

Haha, we will be getting a live demo, yes! And yes, I would show them the phone :D I doubt you all will drive up or out to Western Washington to see it :D

        • thepanttherlady

At the gas prices here in Cali? You are one smart man! Thanks for the answers though, much appreciated.

        • Benjamin@tmo

          Anytime :D

“Most of the time, we get demo phones only a day or two ahead of scheduled launch.”

Oooh.. More reason to believe it’s coming out next week.

        • thepanttherlady

          +1,000,000!!

        • Benjamin@tmo

I wouldn’t bet on it, actually. The 24th that tmonews is a pretty solid release date. I guess we’ll see :D

        • http://tmonews.com David

Right now, I’m hearing either next week or the middle of November, so who knows!

        • Samuel Makun

Please David, don’t say that again. Middle of November will ruffle some feathers.

        • http://tmonews.com David

I can’t stop what is, the ONLY reason people thought it was the end of October is because of something we posted, a phone can’t be delayed if it was never given an official date.

        • Benjamin@tmo

Nothing confirmed yet, sadly. Like the post from you earlier this week, I would say he 24th is a solid date. NO official date. Maybe I’ll share something if I get news monday :D

    • noelsito

if you’re lucky. i remember i played with the Cliq weeks before it came out

    • achusaysblessyou

I’d call up your local store to ask, or just walk in :-P

  • GwapoAko

    Tmobile can you hear David?

  • YoPOPS

here we gooooo! excited as hell. lol

    • Benjamin@tmo

you and I both, Pops! SO stoked!

  • thepanttherlady

Not sure what the date of the document is but I just called one store who told me they’re “making a list” of people to notify when they arrive. I explained I only wanted to know when they’ll have a demo unit available to look at and she said that’s what the list is for. :/

    • Motoki_Mo

Hmm, I want to be on the ‘Shut up and take my money!’ list, but a demo list would work too. I’ll have to call my local store.

  • Benjamin@tmo

saw that when I was opening my store and doing me email reutine. I almost took a picture and sent it in! LOL So glad I saw that someone had the same idea!

    Xmas in October!
I’m ready with my dead presidents!!

  • Ericrn92

Come on T-mobile tell us the price with contract and no contract. Getting anxious enough to go with Sprint on the 25th of October….

    • Guest

U might wanna go to Sprints FB page and check out all the comments on there if your comtemplating about going w Sprint. About 90% of the comments on there are complaints about how terrible their service is and also customer service.

      • Guest

        *contemplating*

      • Ericrn92

U r very right, just got the IPhone 5 with them and signal is horrible. I have the regular Galaxy note with T-mobile and its great! I love T-mobile. Thinking of canceling Sprint even if I have to loose money with penalty..too bad the 14 day of returning merchandise has already pass by…thanks for advice..

      • eurohomie

The same posts are on T-Mobile’s facebook page… It’s typically a bunch of technology illiterate people complaining about their G2Xs and SK4Gs not working properly or fanboys of other carriers..

  • whodadwhoder

As fry would say “Shut up and take my money!”

  • eurohomie

I talked to customer loyalty today asking about my contract update and mentioned that i wanted the Note II. The lady said that I would be able to get the Note II November 1 since the phone would be out before then and my full upgrade is November 1st. Sooooo, at least i know it’s out before november :)

  • guest

Why isn’t there a Note II link on the hot topic bar?

  • guest

will the 64gb come out at the same time as the 16gb?

    • eurohomie

probably not, maybe a few months later

  • Magnus100

All I want for Christmas is the titanium grey 64GB version on Tmobile.

  • http://www.youtube.com/#/mrjlwilliams J. Williams

They (T-Mobile) just sent a tweet with the SGNote2, stating coming soon. UGH, lol. Teasing us big time.

  • nycplayboy78

I just came from my local T-Mobile store here in DC and the manager of the store told me that they will have all the accessories by Tuesday (10/23/2012) and that they will have their demo unit next week as well. T-Mobile gets the accessories first and put them out along with the demo unit(s). He couldn’t tell me the FULL price of the phone off contract though I am assuming that they are keeping that a guarded secret…Well it looks like everything is pointing to a next week release…I went to two other T-Mobile stores one in Maryland and another in Virginia and they told me the same thing….

Have any of you Los Angeles TmoNews fans visited the Samsung Kiosk yet?

If you are in the Beverly Hills area, visit the Samsung Galaxy Kiosk on the first floor of the Beverly Center (Shopping Mall) after 4pm daily, so you can see/touch/demo a live version of the Note2, along with the upcoming Galaxy Camera (with Android OS) and other cool Samsung toys.

The Note2 has some cool camera features not found on the Samsung Galaxy S 3. While you are there; check out Best Shot, Slow Mo Video, Instant Poster Screen sharing, etc.

You also can get a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S3 on the spot. For your chance to win, simply visit 4 of the counters at the Samsung Kiosk, and listen to them talk about their great products and receive one ticket at each counter. They don’t sell products, only talk about them, so there is NO pressure. After you get 4 tickets, go to the end counter to play the game where you use a stylus to draw a doorknob on one of the three doors on the Galaxy Tab screen. You could win a Samsung Galaxy S 3 on the spot. If you are not a grand prize winner you can choose from a T-shirt, Lip Balm or Water Bottle. So you won’t go home empty handed.

You can try once per day, so yes they encourage people to return another day for your chance to win a GS3.

Hey David, I just read that the T-Mobile version of the note 2 will only have hspa. Is this true? ” PopHerald reported that T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier that will offer the highly anticipated smartphone without the faster and more reliable LTE (Long Term Evolution). It is expected to ship with 3G HSPA+ only.”

    • http://tmonews.com David

According to the FCC, it will have LTE, but they may software lock those bands. I wouldn’t believe any reports until we see the box and can get digging into the phone.

  • yozo

TmobileUK site is selling the Note2. Envy….
