T-Mobile Galaxy S Blaze 4G Now Available Everywhere

Not a lot to write except to say that today, March 28th officially marks the nationwide launch of the Galaxy S Blaze 4G. The Blaze 4G has already been available in select retail stores, Costco and a host of other T-Mobile stories selling inventory. The Blaze 4G is selling for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Right now the Blaze is going for $119.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate on T-Mobile.com, perhaps as a promotion tied to the nationwide launch?

Don’t forget to check out my review coming later today!

I love how it shows in the pic that it’s “Exclusively from T-Mobile”.  Anyway, not a bad mid tier device.

    • Scarfacemario

Haha that’s funny I thought id be the only one but yes I agree with you Wilma

  • mason

It’s definitely a high end device not mid…

    • AndrewSingleton

      wrong

      • Kalel

The only thing not making it high end is the screen size but the internals are high end.  They Mytouch 4G was the high end phone with a 3.7″ screen.

        • AndrewSingleton

720p video = not the best
5mp camera = not the best
          gingerbread = not the best
          screen size = mediocre
construction = plasticy with fake chrome
          4g = 21mbps (not sure about this)

gig of ram, good processor and NFC are its only highlights

        • Kalel

           720p:  No T-mobile phone has 720p

5mp camera:  If you think megapixels determine photo quality then you aren’t qualified to make that determination.

gingerbread:  Again, no T-mobile phone has ICS.  The Blaze will get it.

screen size:  Iphone is high end with a 3.5″ screen and the Mytouch 4G was high end with 3.7″ screen.

Construction:  SGS 2 is called plasticy too

4G:  It’s the fastest 4G T-mobile has and will most likely have until LTE.

        • AndrewSingleton

one could argue that it’s one of tmobile’s best phones but that doesn’t make it high-end, unless you’re referring to the higher end of tmobile selection, in which case, sure. and sure mp doesn’t determine photo quality but i doubt samsung has anything up their sleeve to optimize the sensor of a blaze 4g. the one s will have ICS and the G2II should be receiving it shortly. and i believe the iphone’s 3.5″ screen to be a HUGE deterrant.

        • Dr. Hyde

He speaks of 720p video recording. My sensation disagrees with you.

        • Kalel

No Dr. Hyde, he was speaking of the screen resolution, because the Blaze does do 720p video recording.

        • Vim

High end android phones shoot 1080p video these days.  That’s why he said “720p video=not the best”.

          Moron.

        • fixxmyhead

ur a moron 720p video NOT resolution

        • Kalel

OMG, your the moron.  The Samsung Blaze does do 720p.  So unless he’s talking about another Samsung Blaze then it’s about the resolution of the screen.

        • Kalel

First one did post so trying again.

720p:  No phone for T-mobile has 720p so it is the best for now in resolution.

5MP camera:  If you think MP make a better photo then you don’t have any business making that assumption.  I’d take a 4MP Nikon D40 camera over a 16MP phone camera

Gingerbread:  Again, no phone has it on T-mobile and it will be updated.

Screen size:  Iphone is 3.5″, Mytouch 4G is 3.7″, G2X is 4″, all the Galaxy phones prior to the SGS 2 were 4″.  They were/are all flagship phones.

Construction:  Mytouch 4G has fake chrome and SGS 2 has been called plasticy

4G;  It’s the fasted 4G T-mobile has or will have until LTE.

        • Vim

The 4g supports 42mbps thanks to the S3 Snapdragon chip, and there is a slice of the population that prefers smaller handsets.   Aside from those issues, I agree with the rest of your points.

tmobile needs to get a premium device. a titan, or a one x, or an iphone 5, if you will.

i use a galaxy nexus on tmo but i REALLY wish it said tmobile on it so i could be proud of my network

    • Kalel

You said that the Blaze is not a premium device but the Iphone doesn’t have NFC, 4G speeds, small 3.5″ screen, only 8MP camera(which is poor from your last statement) and expandable memory,   You can’t call one phone a mid-range phone and deem the Iphone as premium because you give a pass on it.

      • AndrewSingleton

i dont deem the iphone premium. i would consider it a downgrade to even the blaze 4g

  • Caseybea

Galaxy S III will wipe the floor with this device.  I think I’ll wait.   TMO is about a year late with this offering,…

  • Thomas Brezinski

There is no reason this phone should be shipping without ICS.  Samsung is just lazy.

    • fixxmyhead

      duh

and to make it worse they still make it look like gingerbread. its like they didnt even try

  • EXIBITman

I picked one up on friday so far no problems its very fast and smooth. I bought it off contract 449:99$. I also got a D30 protactive case 34:99$

    • Guest

449.99$ ?!  I could even get a galaxy nexus for that price!

      • EXIBITman

Yea ok your still usen a lg optimus T or a beholed 2 lol!!!!!!!!

  • fixxmyhead

so is this thing like a galaxy s 1 1/2 or what?

  • Timortech

I like mine very much. Its a great upgrade to the gs4g. Thats what it was meant to be. All of you complaining are more than welcome to buy an s2.

  • Thunderjh

Hey Jim, Did you jump on the BOGO free offer? and if you dont mind me asking, how much did they tax you?

  • Jskins1

If you really want a deal on the blaze go to Staples.com. I got the blaze yesterday from a store not online for $29.99! I used the website to show the store the online pricing.
