T-Mobile Announces Sonic 4G Hotspot, T-Mobile’s Fastest Hotspot

Last but certainly not least of T-Mobile’s three major product announcements today is the Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot. Ready to take on the world using T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 42Mbps network the Sonic 4G can connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. Brought to us by the folks at Huawei this little hotspot weighs in only 3.88 ounces making it perfect for a pocket or purse.

As an extra bonus the Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot comes complete with an SD card slot that can hold up to 32GB’s of expandable memory. The hotspot also features an OLED display to show signal strength, number of connected devices, number of unread text messages, battery level, network connection type and whether or not you are connected to the internet.

The Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot will be available online and through T-Mobile retail stores sometime during the month of October. No price was given.

Huweii radios suck and there is virtually no support for them.

The other T-Mobile HotSpot I got made by Huweii kept going to EDGE or GPRS practically everywhere.  I kept calling T-Mobile asking for a software update but nothing.

Novatel makes good looking MiFi type devices.  This one looks ugly just like the last T-Mobile one.

Still trying to figure out the point of Faster devices when there is still a cap of 2GB.
    >_> or a cap at all..

you can give me the 2gb is 5 mins but we:re going to throttle you down to less than 56K speeds for the rest of the 25 days you have left in your billing cycle..
