Win a Samsung Galaxy S From Samsung

If there is one thing everyone loves, it is free things.  If there is one thing I love more, it’s free phones, and you should too.  Samsung is giving everyone a chance to win free phones over the next 8 days.  All in all, they will be giving away 2 more Samsung Vibrants.  Now, the days are specific for which Galaxy S variant is given away, so look sharp (but you are welcome to enter in daily if you want, you could always sell the phone).  The drawing for the Samsung Vibrant will be today, Sunday August 1st, and in 4 days, Thursday August 5th.  You’ll need a FaceBook page (Hey! we have one of those!), fan Samsung Galaxy S, and then click the “WinGalaxyS” tab, where you will be asked to enter in some additional information.  So enter and cross your fingers, you may just get lucky!

Yayyyyy, not a big fan of the phone itself however getting it free goes well with my budget.

  • ScottinPittsburgh

This is awesome! I just got my Samsung Vibrant 2 days ago. I’m loving it. It’s my first Android phone, and I have nothing to complain about as of yet. Whoever gets the phone has a lot to look forward to… you will fall in love with the Galaxy S goodness!

    • Big Bad C-Los

I’m glad you love it! I love mine too! What are your favorite apps?

      • John

Try out tikl, it is an app that works for push to talk, doesn’t use any minutes or messages.

      • ScottinPittsburgh

i do like the tikl app, pretty cool. I don’t really know what else to download. I’m still kinda getting use to using Android. Any suggestions?

      • Deaconclgi

Download the Asphalt 5 Free demo. Very Nice game. I have the full game on my N900 but it looks better and plays smoother on the Vibrant.

    • swehes

      +1

      • Air One

On off app, lets you turn the sound to off, on or silent. Advance task killer, kills apps from running in back round to save battery, Visual vm,Tikl is good, music junk, shaazam, movies by flixter, package tracking, goggles, places direct or yellow page, google translate, live scores, tube downloader,. here are some to check out.

  • Josh M.

I would love to win any of these phones, and then sell them just to get the vibrant :)

    • Zack

      Uh… it IS the Vibrant.

      • 2FR35H

        lol duh!

      • ItsMichaelNotMike

He was referring to ANY one of these phones, and he would sell it to get a Vibrant. He is showing his loyalty to T-Mobile. So it’s not a “duh” moment.

I’d like to win any one of them too, but if the Vibrant, cool. But if I won an Epic or Fascinate, that would be on eBay instantly as if by magic. But since I have a Vibrant I’d pay it off with the eBay proceeds. LOL.

      • Josh M.

exactly my point michael, nice to know some people have sense

      • dee

exactly michael but that dude always have something sarcastic to say

      • timmyjoe42

Actually, if you read the rules, they award prizes based on the carrier you select, so if you put T-Mobile, you are entered only into the Vibrant lotteries.

So, sort of a “duh” and sort of a “reading comprehension” and sort of a “who reads these rules anyways” moment.

      • ItsMichaelNotMike

This exchange is more interesting than the contest since I am not entering it. So continuing:

Not correct Timmyjoe, Josh’s comment did not pertain to the rules, nor the contest itself. In and of itself his statement is complete.

One can speculatively say “I would love to win any of these phones …” and be correct since the comment does not relate to how the contest is won, what one can win, reading rules or being precise. He’s dreaming out loud, so to speak.

As to Josh always having something sarcastic to say, I don’t know about that since I mentally block out the negative stuff that happens on this site. So I can’t judge Josh because all I can vaguely remember is the name.

      • Josh M.

I don’t remember ever being sarcastic on this blog. i usually comment once a week, and its always something opinionated but never offending or sarcastic. I’m sorry If anyone thinks otherwise. I always try to keep it PG :)
I love tmonews.com and I love t-mobile :) and I always look forward to reading up on what people think :)

      • tMoMoDeL

        Lmfao!

  • threetee14

what time will they announces the winner today?

    • 2FR35H

      Tomorrow according to the rules.

  • threetee14

    *announce

  • bsanto

Sorry I didn’t proof read it I was using my phone.

  • Fish

IMO you can only trust samsung as much as you can on motorola to support their phones and customers. That said, I would totally like to win one and sell it to get an HTC instead! Perhaps the new rumored mytouch?!

    • Presto117

Motorola’s pushed Android 2.2 to select Droid’s this weekend and everyone else next week and Samsung is making a big push with Android by even going as far as to ask major developers if they’d be willing to fix scaling issues in their apps so they work on Samsung’s upcoming Android tablet and an official test build of Android 2.2 is already running on Galaxy S phones in europe….

      you were saying?

And the new myTouch, which will most likely fall waaay under the Galaxy S in terms of specs? Really?

  • Paul

    WTF why no Florida????

    • ivet

      I know, wtf indeed :(

  • nokiaN900user

I played with the phone yesterday and all I can say is wow!!! This phone blew my mind. i dont think I will ever buy a new phone that doesnt have S Amoled

    • ItsMichaelNotMike

Then that means no phone other than the Vibrant for you since it’s Samsung’s technology and even though they sell displays to other manufacturers it said the Company does not have enough for their own phones. Samsung announced in April that it will not sell SAMOLED displays to others until March 2012!

Personally, I think they have enough, but they want to ride the SAMOLED pony as long as it can without angering customers who buy millions of Samsung displays for their phones. What better way to calm them down then saying “Hey, we don’t even have enough for our Samsung Galaxy S handsets.” ;)

Moreover, I suspect they wanted to see how it went with Samsung Galaxy S sales. Since the handset is doing quite well I suspect Samsung won’t even be selling the displays in March 2012.

All quite reasonable, it’s an amazing technology so Samsung should keep it to itself for the next few years at least.

      I digress, forgive me.

      • Nokia N900USER

I agree with you on that one. I felt bad when I put the phone next to my N900. I have two upgrades on my family plan and Im tempted in dropping the hammer on the Vibrant this weekend. I might wait for the Galaxy Tab (I know you cant imagine how nice the rumored tablet will look like with SAMOLED). But since the Tab is far away, I might just go ahead and and get the Vibrant. I have one question you. Does the unlocked original version of Galaxy S support T-Mobile 3G? I might pay for that one if it does. Otherwise Im sold on the vibrant.

      • Deaconclgi

I played Asphalt 5 on my N900 and the Vibrant side by side and the Super Amoled made my N900 screen almost look like a black and white (non color) tv!!!!! If it wasn’t for Maemo Linux on the N900, I would by a Vibrant just for the screen.

  • DF

I’d love a Galaxy S but just not worth it to sign up for facebook

    • InfamousBird

Im with this guy faceboock blows. On a side note i would love to have a Vibrant but my not enough to give up my Nexus. Maybe this dual core business can pry it from my stingy fingers.
      GIVE ME STOCK ANDROID!!!!

    • newmexican

      Same here,

winning the Vibrant would be nice (my G1 is aging) but I will not sign up with Facebook for this.

    • Notag1

Totally agree on the Facebook comment. I have stayed away from all of those “new” startups. Would love a Vibrant, but…

  • 2FR35H

Please Samsung I need an upgrade from this behold 2 you sent me from winning the last contest lol

  • JSY581

Would love to win… Free is my favorite price!

    • Davidohio

      I bet it is

      • JSY581

        :-)

  • threetee14

    i would…

    1) sell it
    2) buy the iphone 4 on eBay
    3) cut my SIM to micro
    4) wait til they can unlock the iPhone 4

    • getreal

The iPhone 4 IS unlocked. I just returned my AT+T one and am going to Canada to buy one and do just that. Goodbye AT+T hello TMobile. I know it only works on edge but I don’t care. Tmobile has better service and is a better company in my opinion than AT+T. Most of the time I will be using it on wifi anyway for heavy data so it will be just as fast as my at+t one was. Also with skype and facetime I can call back to the US for free over wifi when I am traveling internationally.

      • threetee14

why did u return the AT&T one? What is the difference between ATT’s and Canada’s?

  • NiiDiddy

void in Fl though – effn SUX!!!

    • ivet

      I know :( what’s wrong with Florida?

      • http://www.bobvilla.com McPhoney

        Yeah, seriously!
        I’d like to pound them!

  • ExistentialTechie

I love everyone grillin’ them on the GPS & Compass issue on there. Samsung of course is givin the scripted response.

  • http://exohxomusic.com DannyO

Man, I’m sure glad tmonews, the site I depend on it for news relevant to my mobile carrier, T-Mobile, was right on top of this breaking news about the biggest phone out for Tmo right now. I only had to miss six days of the promotion! I suppose we really can’t expect much better than a 144 hour news cycle…

    • Andrew

This has no relation to T-mobile, and is only affiliated with Samsung. I was not made aware of this myself until two days ago. I made the choice to wait until they were giving away another Vibrant before posting it since the majority of the giveaways aren’t relevant. We make sure to post anything we can, as soon as we can, if it is relevant and news worthy.

      • tmoledu

The vibrant is the biggest thing going on at tmobile right now, how does it not have anything to do with tmobile? I understand that you werent aware of it, but that’s a ridiculous reason.

      • ItsMichaelNotMike

DannyO… I think he was referring to waiting until the Vibrant contest came up. The other days were not relevant to T-Mobile.

Of course, I’d like to win any of the phones, for the reasons stated above.

      • http://exohxomusic.com dannyo

I understand Andrew – I like this site and all, don’t get me wrong. I’m partially bitter because I’m not even a year into my contract and I’m still stuck with my Cliq, and I am pining hard for the superphones that are coming out! When I signed up, I did so because I wanted to ditch AT&T, I have friends who work at t-mo, and I liked the company. The cliq was pretty much the best thing I could get. While I’m waiting to be eligible for an upgrade, phones will come out that fight crime, seduce women (in a non-skeevy sort of way) and make awesome grilled cheese will be had by everyone while I’m waiting for motoblur to finish crashing so I can finally read the text message I got an hour ago…

      • The Observer

actually from readin the contest on their page, it says the winner will receive the phone for their carrier, so a person with tmobile will have a chance to win a vibrant every day. which is why they ask for which carrier you have with your sign up information

  • Dale Murphy

hated giving samsung access to friends and family personal information to enter this drawing. but hell, i am certain they do it to me without thinking twice about it.

  • derrickps3

i am most definetly about to enter. i won the behold2 from samsung last year. even tho samsung has screwed the behold2, i wouldn’t mind winning this and keeping it as a backup. i am loving blackberry but would like to swap phones just for style lol………..i was recognized as one of the winners last time on the main blog. just ask the mods/admin :)

  • derrickps3

i just realized florida is excluded from the contest……………F*** YOU SAMSUNG, this makes me pissed off towards them all over again :(

    • ItsMichaelNotMike

I’m not sure, but usually you need to look to your state legislature and AG (attorney general) for the problem. Many times state government makes contests onerous to run, so much so that many companies say to heck with it and exclude the state.

AFAIK Florida is always in the news about some scam this, some scam that, to where the AG tightly regulates any contest or promotion.

A lot of it also has to so with the state having so many elderly. Scam artists target them specifically because they are easy prey. So Florida polices the promotions, come-ons and contests closely.

So don’t be too hard on Samsung. I see many contests that exclude states and Florida always seems to make the list.

      Just sayin.

    • ItsMichaelNotMike

Here is an example Derrick on how complicated it gets and also why Samsung excluded Florida:

There are many aspects of the sweepstakes that must be described in the official rules, including any special eligibility requirements, restrictions on use or scope of a prize such as for a trip, methods of claiming a prize (usually by signing and returning a declaration of eligibility and liability release by a certain date), and other issues.

The official rules cannot be misleading and cannot attempt to hide the free method of entry. You must include disclaimer language for lost mail, lost connections in internet contests, liability and publicity releases.

Once the official rules are published and posted, they must be followed exactly and cannot be changed during the course of the promotion.

In addition to the official rules, any advertisement or promotional mention of the sweepstakes must be reviewed for consistency with the rules and to avoid consumer misimpressions about any aspect of the promotion.

If the total amount of all prizes being awarded in the sweepstakes exceeds $5,000, the promotion must be registered (with either a surety bond or certificate of deposit in the total amount of all prizes) in Florida.

If the promotion will be advertised through retail outlets there’s a filing and registration requirement if the total value of all prizes exceeds $500.

Florida has taken the position that any promotion in the United States that does not explicitly exclude Florida residents could allow a Florida resident to win and subjects the promotion to Florida’s jurisdiction, including the filing requirements.

Therefore, if you have a promotion running in another part of the country where the total value of the prizes exceeds $5,000, you will want to consider including in the official rules the provision that Florida residents are not eligible.

Florida also requires that any mention of the promotion in a print advertising must contain the complete official rules. This requirement does not apply to television and radio advertising, but would apply to any magazine with national circulation, any direct mail sent into Florida, or similar print advertisement circulated within that state.

  • tmoledu

How did I not know about this contest until today? I usually check tmonews daily and for the mst part it works. Way to drop the ball on this one tmonews!

    • David

Wow, way to be unnecessarily harsh…don’t forget we often rely on you guys to catch the things we don’t…the Facebook fan page jumped up 2000 spots today, I’m betting largely thanks to us today, so we didn’t catch it right away, there is no reason to call it “dropping” the ball.

      • Wilma Flintstone

I hate these competitions. Anyway, Is the Vision/Vangaurd/G1 Blaze/Unicorn the same as the Vision/Desire Z? According to this article on Gsmarena, there may be another phone called the Vision that is supposed to be a GSM “flavored” HTC Evo:

        Article from GSMArena:
        http://www.gsmarena.com/rumor_htc_ace_to_be_named_desire_hd_vision__desire_z-news-1850.php

If so then WHOOPPPPEEEEE!!!!! YEEEESSSSS!!!!! I’ll be Honored to have that Vision!!! WOOHOO!!!!! A Tmobile Evo is what I want.

      • NiiDiddy

settle down, Wilma, settle down lmao…it’s all good. All in due time; I’m sure you’d be rewarded soon :)

      • Wilma Flintstone

EMERALD EMERALD EMERALD!!! AHIDHFSAKJFSDJAAWEO!!!! Phew, glad I got that out. Thanks NiiDiddy. I needed that swift kick in the rear. Why did Settle down remind me of an old country western? Gettalong little dogie!!! HAAA!!!!

    • Davidohio

Umm they posted this the other day and again today. Maybe you should pay attention and not drop your ball.

    • Davidohio

I love how tmoledu blames tmonews for him not knowing about the contest! Get a life man.

  • mingkee

This is for ALL US Galaxy S variants, not limited to Vibrant.
I joined it just for fun.

  • tmoledu

So what, it includes the vibrant

  • john

I’m sure there us a legal reason to exclude fl, doesn’t make sense otherwise.

  • Mohammad

What about all of us who doesn’t have a facebook and refuse to get one???

    • ItsMichaelNotMike

I have not read the rules because I never win contests. Plus I don’t feel like giving out all my info on the 1/10,000,000th chance I might win.

In any event, a contest can specify the means of entering it. If a Facebook account is the way to enter the contest, so be it, that’s OK. In fact, some would say that’s easier than filling out forms.

And it does not help non-FaceBook folks that recently FB announced it has 500 million members. Does not seem like too many people are excluded with that many people being able to enter the contest.

Even if the contest was restricted to TMoNews members, that’s a valid contest. Outsiders have no complaint since there’s no law that says contests a TMoNews contest has to be open to anyone and everyone, it can be only for registered forum members, for example.

  • http://www.absolutefiction.com [rono]

    Don’t you love free phone.
If only you could win one.
    :-)

  • chris

Too bad that i don’t have a face book account.

  • TMOprophet

There’s virtually no chance of winning this contest, you’re more likely to get struck by lightning.

    • Andrew

Actually, your chances of winning are (at worst) 1 in 6500. That’s assuming that everyone on there is registered as either T-Mobile or unknown. Assuming that the chances of being struck by lightning is 1/500000, I say there’s a pretty vast difference between winning and getting struck by lightning. I would bet that someone that reads TmoNews will win one of these Vibrants. Also, you know you did it so why comment.

      • http://TheMixtapeCity.com TheMixtapeCity.com

        lmao.. he told u.

      • TMOprophet

I actually haven’t signed up, I just think I have terrible luck..I never have won any contest..ever

Ok so I guess your numbers are make it sound better.. I was assuming hundreds of thousands of people would be signing up..lol

        Maybe it’s worth a shot

    • TMOprophet

Why the hell are all my comments awaiting moderation???

Like 3 weeks straight..every single one!

  • Josh M.

Even if I don’t win one, I’m buying it this weekend coming up anyways, right now im down to deciding whether the vibrant or the mytouch slide. I know, but I like them both.

    • Presto117

You’d be doing yourself a disservice if you choose the slide over this. The only advantage it might have is the qwerty keyboard, but Swype is amazing and my sister, who got the slide for the keyboard, only uses swype now. You won’t even see past 2.2 with the Slide (Google stated that phones need at least a 1 GHz processor and a 3.5″ screen, which are two things missing from the slide). Go with the Vibrant and you’ll love it. That, and night mode works great on the camera.

      • Josh M.

        SOOOOLLLLLLLLLLD!

      • Dale Murphy

u wont see past 2.2 with the vibrant either.

      • Josh M.

thats ok ill take 2.2 then when the next big thing comes out ill sell the vibrant and buy that. :)

    • http://squarecat.com Scott B

I had the Vibrant for 2 days before returning it. It has fundamental flaws that get old in everyday use (bad reception, GPS slow/never locks, UI lag, unresponsive front “buttons”), despite the otherwise top notch features.

I’ve had the Slide for a week now and can say that everything the Vibrant gets wrong, the Slide excels at. That said, I do miss things like HD video capture and decent photos (Slide photos are OK and video recording is downright mediocre) and being able to run Google Earth (no love lost for lack of live wallpapers though.) But for $500, I was completely underwhelmed by the Vibrant, while the $50 less Slide is relatively impressive, if strangely handicapped in ways that could easily be remedied.

And coming from a CLIQ and watching the Behold 2 debacle, I’m gun shy about a manufacturer that leaves its customers in the dust on upgrades. The Slide is part of the banner myTouch line which bodes well, IMHO.

    • utkarsh

I have both the mytouch and the vibrant and truth be told the mytouch is a snappier phone.
I know this will be fixed in froyo but it was kind of strange and dissapointing to me. Also, HTC sense beats the living crap out of touch flo.
But hey, i sold the mytouch and am very happy with my vibrant.

They both are really good devices, but if you want a qwerty i would just wait for the vision. Desire with qwerty= world explodes

  • Jimbo

Go With the slide way better phone

    • Presto117

Really? Sure, you might like the slide, but it’s far from “better” compared to the Vibrant. If you absolutely, for some odd reason, NEED a physical keyboard, then go get it, but if not, don’t even give it a second glance. It’s an ok phone, but it was out-dated technology when it launched and it’ll stay that way. It can’t even run Android 2.1 entirely.

  • Theundying1

    i live in Florida :(

    • dee

      me to :(

  • http://TheMixtapeCity.com TheMixtapeCity.com

Mine phone i ordered should be here 2mrw if not latest wens.. But id take 2 of them with out a doubt. Sell the second one and make a nice profit since im paying 300 for the phone I ordered off my ex’s employee discount.

  • vibrant/hd2 user

I just installed android on my hd2 and I must say I might not go back to my vibrant…….

    • TMOprophet

was it the desire v5 rom, or the Froyo build?

And how’s it working for ya?

  • CJ

Hmm… So, if Florida with its strict regulations is not included, does it mean these particular sweepstakes rules are not fair enough or something wrong with their privacy statements? Or is it one of those legal technicality issues and nothing to worry about the actual privacy of those who participate?
I don’t want to discourage anybody from participating, but any sweepstakes rules just always seem to sound to me like a contract to sell your soul to devil :)
Could not resist, sold it few times myself in the past :) LoL, now I am just staying away. It does not worth it for me anymore…

  • CJ

Btw, I was trying to decide on getting Galaxy S or HD2 month ago, so same here, Android on my HD2 is close to perfection, I don’t care about FFC at this point in time, but I am glad that I can use my LED flash. Free “N1 Torch” app at the Market is just great! Especially the higher voltage bright mode, which lit up the whole room when I tested it.

  • vibrant/hd2 user

The build I have on mine is perfect. Everything work’s. Its like having two phones in one. This will tide me over until emerald drops.

  • sammy

    I’m feeling lucky

  • techvudu

Facebook is beat. I refuse. Love the phone though.

  • now_onTMO

ughhh, had to reactivate my facebook account for this, LOL

    i wanna win!! hehe

    love my vibrant..

  • ItsMichaelNotMike

LOL… since I am dealing with some substantive stuff I decided to look at the contest rules to warm up my thought processes.

Contest looks typical. Nothing shifty or questionable. I note it says if I won the phone I can’t sell it. Since I have a Vibrant that means I would need to win it before my California 30 day remorse period is over.

I entered just for grins since I was on my FB page anyway (have not logged on in a month, that tells you what I think of FB).

Sidenote: I just created my own pressure (something I tell people to avoid doing, e.g., don’t tell people that you are taking an occupational test unless you want to deal with the added pressure of what to tell people should you fail the test. Just take the test without telling anyone, if you fail it, there won’t be anyone asking “How did you do?”).

Anyway, now I have to hope I win this contest before my 30 days is up. And I have to prepare my acceptance speech, extra work. Hmm… maybe if I get started now:

“Yes, I’d like to thank TmoNews, Andrew and David, who without their guidance I would not be sitting in my underwear typing this now.

I’d also like to thank TMoNews member Josh M. Without his post Zack would not have chopped on him resulting in my post under my TMoNews name ItsMichaelNotMike.

By the way folks, I own the domain name ItsMichaelNotMike.com Be sure to check it out in 2012 as by then I might have time to post some stuff on it.

I would also like to thank the Academy, my third grade teacher Miss Coe, because she would bring her German Shepard dog to class, my CAL professor who is now serves in the Obama Administration, go Prof, and of course my dog who licked my face at 4:30 a.m. that resulted in my waking up and getting a jump on the day’s business.

Oh, and thank you Samsung for this nice phone. I mean handset, or is this a superphone? Is superphone one word or two? I think there needs to be some standardization in the industry as to what to call these things. I mean, there’s no consistency, people can’t even agree what a smartphone is, much less a super phone. We have to question is it any device that ”

(“Thawhappppp” web cast goes dark for unknown reason.)

  • Deke218

I thinks its because as a State and the people who run it, Florida kinda Sucks.

    • David

Hey! Easy there, I’m in Florida!

      • ItsMichaelNotMike

Three things bug me about Florida:

        1. I went there one August to go to Disney World. It was hot, humid and miserable. I thought “how can anyone live in this swamp.”

        2. The 2000 election, albeit the Florida Supreme Court did try to do the right thing.

        3. Before being imprisoned by a State that knows what to do with creeps, OJ lived there.

Bonus Item 4. There’s too many critters and crocodiles there. And now aren’t there boa contrictors hanging out too, big ones?

        That’s it.

      • NiiDiddy

I’m in Florida too…!!! And I love it; y’all take it easy on us!! :)

      • Wilma Flintstone

Come on now, did you honestly expect Florida to be cool? It’s one of the most if not the most southern state in the US. I find Florida to be a great place to visit. I love going to Universal Studios. Panama City is nice too. The cars in Dade County are unreal (East Coast Ryders – Yall Know). Tampa has great beaches, Miami’s great too. I’m a ATL, Georgia Boy (I just use the name Wilma Flintstone because I couldn’t think of anything else and it seemed to stick). I’m used to a warmer climate. Where are you from Michael? It sounds like you’re from somewhere up north where it’s a much cooler temperature.

    • utkarsh

      California love baby

Friday can’t soon get here so I can get my Vibrant :)
I love you T-mobile. oh, and I have faith that samsung will update their galaxy s line with a froyo update :)

There was a Samsung meeting last week in South Korea where the Samsung Galaxy S with Android 2.2 (Froyo) was being discussed, specifically the U.S. launch.

We will be getting the update in September, along with the European market. :)

        @ItsMichaelNotMike – Really? That’s awesome! Can’t wait!!!

i still can’t believe florida is excluded, last year it wasn’t with the behold 2 giveaway, hmph!!

  • Joey

Remember they gave away the Behold II just before they dropped it like a red headed step child!!!! BE CAREFUL !!!!!

    • NiiDiddy

These will not be dropped. These are their flagship phones with variants for ALL carriers. they have more at stake here than to just drop them when they barely came out. Behold II just sucked from the get-go. I was going to buy it when it came out; went to the store to demoed it first…a minute then I walked out of the store pissed off; it was junk. That phone IMHO, was a complete joke!! This Galaxy S series is going to put Samsung back on the map in the US markets; the phones have gotten popular as they get released. They’ll be VERY stupid to drop them because that will only mean one thing—we now have them etched in stone about their character when it comes to their mobile devices, and this will enable us to put the last nail in the coffin for their smartphone segment. Everyone at that time will avoid them completely. I am sure they’ve learned from past mistakes and I can hope that they’ll do the right thing this time around with those awesome Galaxy S devices they have.

Samsung is sacrificing AMOLED sales to keep up production of the Galaxy S SAMOLED. I read an article today about HTC and other MFG going back to LCD because they can’t get product from Samsung. IMO This shows me that Samy is serious about this phone.

I like this phone, but I’m fine with my Nexus One. It’d be nice to play around with it though. I hope I win so I could sell it >=] and make a nice amount of money in return ^___^

Here’s an interesting tidbit. There’s more than one Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant:

    http://galaxys.bell.ca/?INT=MOB_shop_home_BAN_GalaxyS_20100629_lm_all

And look at the phone, it’s the i9000, not the T-Mobile Vibrant.

This tidbit is for the Canadian 1700 gsm carriers like wind and fido i think.
