Meet the Creative Teams Behind T-Mobile’s Next Era of Ads

The Un-carrier has always been known for loud, bold marketing, and now T-Mobile is reshuffling the team behind it. The company has named new agency partners and is adding AI to its in-house creative studio as it gets ready for life beyond wireless.

T-Mobile announced the changes on November 2. Agency Anomaly is coming on as T-Mobile’s strategic brand transformation partner, tasked with shaping the brand’s next chapter as the company explores new industries. Highdive is now T-Mobile’s lead creative advertising agency and will handle everything from big brand campaigns to product ads. And T-Mobile’s in-house team, T-Studios, is adding AI-powered tools to speed up content production.

The bigger theme is growth beyond your phone plan. T-Mobile says Anomaly will help translate the company’s “bold business and AI ambitions” into an advantage for the brand. Lucy McLellan, T-Mobile’s Chief Brand and Communications Officer, said the company is entering a new era for brand building that combines creative talent with AI. Highdive CEO Megan Lally said both companies refuse to play by the old rules of their industries.

There’s also an interesting AI search angle. As more people use AI assistants and AI-powered search to look things up, T-Mobile says it’s building the ability to create and update content more continuously so its brand, products, and services show up accurately on those platforms. That’s on top of T-Mobile’s big product push right now, including T-Mix, which we broke down in our T-Mix Picks math explainer.

For customers, this won’t change your bill, but it will likely change the T-Mobile ads you see over the next year. With T-Mobile pushing into new areas like fiber, AI, and possibly other industries, expect the Magenta brand to start showing up in some unexpected places. We’ll be watching for the first campaigns from the new team.
