T-Mobile Galaxy Tab S4 receiving updates with bug fixes and security patches

T-Mobile has sent out updates to several Samsung devices this month, including the Galaxy S7, S8, and S9 models and the Note 8. Now we can add another device to that list.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is being updated by T-Mobile. The tablet’s support page actually shows two updates that’ve come out in the past week, with version T837TUVU1ARK1 bringing a signal bar UI fix and a VoIP bug fix and then version T837TUVS1ARL1 arriving with the December 2018 Android security patches.

These updates are rolling out over the air now, so you Galaxy Tab S4 owners should see ’em in the coming days. You can also check for your updates manually by going into Settings > Software update > Download updates manually on your Tab S4.

Thanks, Mike!

Bummer that the connected version cost $238 more than the wifi only. Maybe they will have a post Christmas sale that doesn’t involve adding another line.

Yeah right. I predict you have to add 3 lines.

Msrp is inly $50 from wifi model unless your reffering to a sale price.

      • Peter Hapeman

Yes, sale price. No sales for connected versions. Samsung EPP site doesn’t even sell the TMobile version.

Not surprise about that, tmobile more than likely told Samsung not to,just like Tmobile prevented big box stores not to sell their version of the Note 9.

Rip off version of Tab S4.

WiFi only version cost me 250.00 less I tether when needed

Having an onboard LTE jacks up the price. I personally prefer to both.

Even wifi version of Tab S4 is too expensive.

Agreed. I’ll consider paying that price when they consider putting the latest processors in their tablets again.

        • Bklynman

They are not going to do that. Tablet “wars” are over. No one makes them anymore,Toshiba,Moto,Asus, etc. The only company that makes them anymore are Apple and Samsung,I could be wrong, but those are the only 2 that makes them with lte. I believe there is a Surface Tablet that lte. Since they have different models out, have not kept up which ones of the surface do and don’t.

I don’t disagree with you. I’m just saying that’s the only way they’ll get my money on a tablet.
