Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S8 Active receiving updates on T-Mobile

A couple of recent Samsung smartphones are now receiving software updates on T-Mobile.

First up, T-Mobile is pushing an update to its Galaxy Note 9. The update weighs in at 215.24MB and is version N960USQU1ARH2. The security patch level of the update is August 1, 2018, and included is “a feature to select the recording time for Single-take in Super Slow Motion has been added. (0.2s, 0.4s)”.

Also being updated is the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. This update is 129.60MB in size and bumps the S8 Active to version G892USQS3BRH2. Included are the August 1, 2018 Android security patches.

If you’ve got one of these Samsung phones, you can wait for the OTA update to hit your device in the coming days or you can manually check for it by going into Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.

Thanks, Mr. P, Sam, Phil, and James!

Refreshing to see Samsung as well as Tmobile looking to be on the ball (unless they were looking to plug a much bigger problem under the guise of a Camera improvement.

Loving the Note 9 slight extra width, update notice popped up a few hours after getting the phone.

Pretty good deal being able to trade a S5(Freedompop flashed Sprint 900P) for FMV bill credit and rest on a VGC). The AKG ANC Headphones are a nice bonus. Costco only had limited pre-orders units and no EIP units just OYP for $949.
