Next week’s T-Mobile Tuesday will be #GivingTuesday, T-Mo to match donations to Boys & Girls Clubs

T-Mobile today revealed what’s happening for the next edition of T-Mobile Tuesdays, and it’s going to be a bit different than past weeks.

Next Tuesday will be dubbed #GivingTuesday, says T-Mo, because they plan to match donations made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. You’ll be able to donate $5 by texting “Tuesday” to 20222, and T-Mobile will match all donations, up to $200,000. T-Mobile says that it’ll match the donations of anyone giving to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, including people not on T-Mobile.

In addition to this donation match, next week will include the usual free gifts of a free small Frosty from Wendy’s and a free movie rental from FandangoNOW.

Next week’s prizes are focused on donations to Boys & Girls Club of America. Two people will each win a $5,000 donation in their name to a local Boys & Girls Clubs location of their choosing.

Five hundred people will each win a $250 prize donation in their name to the Boys & Girls Club location nearest to their residence, while 3,300 people will each win a $50 donation in their name to the Boys & Girls Club location nearest to their residence.

In total, T-Mobile will be donating up to $500,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

So I’m guessing since t-mobile and Walmart parted company with Walmarts family network to we will not see vudu movies returning? I love the free movies but fandango now is terrible.

    • themanwithnoname

It’s definitely different but I haven’t had any problems with fandango now. Luckily they just released an app for it on Xbox One. Without that it was really annoying for me to have to use my phone or computer to watch.

      • Nobody Special

I hooked up my ipad to my tv via a HDMI cable to watch a Fandango movie but Fandango has a restriction to prevent you from doing that. Thats terrible that they are doing this, Bring Vudu Back!!!!!!!

  • Deadeye37

Boo to Fandango Now! Vudu was much better. Please bring back Vudu.

    • vplaza

Sounds like Vudu is now a thing of the past for TMo Tuesdays. Too bad.

    • Veisa

I agree. Vudu gave you a $5+/- credit, which you could use to purchase movie instead of only renting them. Also, a 99¢ rental on Vudu would still leave you $$ to spend on another movie. Fandango does not offer that flexibility – it’s only for a single rental, regardless of price.

Not sure if that’s been changed but I just redeemed the FandangoNow movie and it was a $5 credit. I had to pay 99 cents to rent the movie. I didn’t check to see if the credit would apply to a purchase though.

        • Veisa

Nope. I tried to use it to buy and got an invalid code error. It’s only good for one rental up to $5. I did notice that Fandango let me view my rental for 48 hours instead of Vudu’s 24 hours. That’s a positive aspect.

    Movie is back.

The donations are awesome. I’d like to see them matching more than $200,000 but still.

The problem is FandangoNow, it’s too restrictive, it’s expensive, the selection isn’t the best, and it just overall sucks. We need VUDU back or they might as well drop FandangoNow and replace it with something else is how I and many, many others feel.

Bravo T-Mobile! I like seeing companies give back. I should be a customer in time to participate.

  • PD

I miss the Vudu promos also. I noticed that we stopped receiving them when vudus free movies with straighttalk started. I think thats the reason why.

1 yr have passed since I decided to leave my office work and that decision changed everything for me… I started doing work on-line, for a company I stumbled upon on-line, for a few hours /a day, and my income now is much bigger then it was on my previous job… My last month paycheck was for Nine thousand bucks… Superb thing about this job is that i have more free time for my family… TINY.PL/g9s36
