Google Play Store Updated With New Nexus 7 And Nexus Q Devices

Are you eager to throw your money at Google for your very own Nexus 7 tablet? Well, pre-orders are now live for the Nexus 7 tablet and Nexus Q. Google’s got a nice overview of the Nexus 7 tablet in the video below and there is little doubt that it’s specs are more than spectacular for the price. Throw in an HD display, Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 12-core GPU and 9 hours of video playback? Where do I sign up? Actually, you can sign up at the Google Play link below.

    Galaxy Nexus is now $349

    • Legione13

Yup. That is a ridiculous deal for an unlocked, off-contract HSPA+ phone that will be the first to have Jelly Bean.

    • MorphiusFaydal

I’m thinking about buying one. At $349, that’s almost too good to resist. Especially since the SGS 3 is $329 before rebate.

I want this tablet. I was about to buy the galaxy tap 2. Now I want the nexus 7

When will Google come up with the next version of the galaxy nexus. Has anyone heard? I have read somewhere a few months ago that google would have a whole new lineup with their devices. Looking forward to see the next Galaxy nexus.

Well, for $350, I’m getting the Galaxy Nexus and patiently waiting for the next Nexus to come out. I refuse to pay $630 for the GS3 and wait months for upgrades. $350 for an unlocked pure android device is just too good to be true. Also getting the Nexus Tab for the wife in two weeks.

If you think about it, you could buy the GS3 off contract at $630, or get a Nexus phone and a Nexus 7 for about $30 less.  Granted the phone may be a bit outdated, but it still has to hold it’s own for at least a year.

November 5th they will launch 5 devices for the 5th anniversary of Android.

I have November 5th written on my calendar but I do not know where I got that date.

  • Grimbeaver

Ordered a 16gb Nexus 7.  Price is right for me.

  • KPB

This pair seems odd to me. The Nexus 7 has great specs for the price point and they clearly want to sell a lot and make a profit on Google Play. I also wish I had the money to upgrade my wife and I to Galaxy Nexus’s as 350 seems like a great deal for an unlocked, unsubsidized smartphone. The Nexus Q on the other hand seems way over priced.

It is my understanding that we are getting multiple devices from multiple manufacturers later in the year (Nov 5 is what I have circles but not sure of source)

  • MorphiusFaydal

So… is the Galaxy Nexus going to be the only Nexus phone, or are we getting JB flagship devices soonish?

    • FILA

You will get some new Nexus phones later this year. the Galaxy Nexus is still an amazing phone, trust me

      • MorphiusFaydal

How would you compare it to a Samsung Galaxy S III or HTC One X? Does the Pentile technology of the display ever show through?

      • It never ceases to amaze me that people don’t understand the benefits of owning a Nexus handset.

  • My God, I love the Nexus 7, but I wish for $25 more bucks they would have thrown a microSD slot on it. N.O.V.A. is my favorite game but it eats up 2GB by itself, and my 2 favorite movies would have to stay in the cloud instead of on my device because they each take up 1.2GB. I love the 16GB version, but I’m going to wait and see how Amazon and Sammy play their chips later in the year after I have a few more savings. Sucks being a student, but I want to make sure my baby will be used to its full potential.
