I don’t have a One-S, but it is good to see HTC being so responsive about addressing issues.
Sammy has a thing or two to learn about CS…..and don’t get me started on LG.

One of the reasons why I went with the One S rather than waiting for the SGS3, 3 of my last 4 phones have been HTC (the 4th was the Motorola Cliq – ‘nuf said there), and I have been very happy with them.

    Finally an update

    • redman12

Finally? The phone has only been out for a month.. April 25th to be exact.

    • Alexray

Really less then a month and your complaining.  I traded my G2x in for this and cant beleive how fast they are responding to fixing things.  Glad I chose HTC and got rid of my G2x and LG who would have gotten this fixed sometime next year,

I got a update about two weeks ago and it improved the things listed here. I wonder if it slipped out early?

  • Jake

Wi-Fi calls cut in and out pretty frequently, I hope the update fixes it.

  • Yay. My only issue has been sometimes when it’s on idle, the screen will be acting funny where it’ll be glitchy & I can’t get back in. Then there’s WiFi calling which I haven’t use for the last year or so on any phone because the quality is always poor despite my really fast WiFi home network. It seems to echo, especially with earphones, & sometimes the call drops.

When is T-Mobile going to release a fix for wifi calling with the ICS on the Amaze 4G. The longer a conversation goes on, the more delayed the voice gets. Ask anyone who upgraded. Doubt they will fix it

    • k-mack

I don’t have any problems with wifi calling on ICS with my amaze 4g, actually.

  • i’m interested in those signal fluctuation improvements.

    • Same. Is that the 3g/4g switching issue? I want that damn bug GONE, and NOW.

      • I have yet to see “3G” show up on my phone. I only get 2G or 4G showing up. I thought these phones simply did not display 3G.

      • yes sir it is.

  • Khalints

I dont know whether to be happy T-Mobile is addressing problems this fast or feel terrible that they didn’t give me the same treatment for the G2X…..

Never ever ever will I buy another LG anything!

    • LG makes some pretty nice televisions… I mean really nice.

      • Mark

I’ve had good luck with my LG washing machine.  The thing that always concerns me about them, though, is that they’re the same company that first came to the USA back in the 80’s as Goldstar… a sub-Emerson brand of super-cheap electronics.

    • dkbnyc

LMAO!  To Clarify… I will never buy another Lg Phone…

  • One Correction, the Updates have been rescheduled to June 4 – July 7 window.

  • HTC one

Looks like they changed the date to Beginning June 4 damn it !

what I’m interested in is when TMo or HTC going to roll out an update to fix the bugs associated with updating the Sensation to ICS. I almost regret updating the OS. Should have kept GB. Anyone here has an inside tip or something?

    • None

I didnt even see where I had an option on the Amaze.  It was just going to sit in my notification tray until I did it.

    • Bro

yeh…my sensation is getting flucuating signal since ICS update. Sucks

  • Hey…. my software version is 1.53.531.16 710RD on my T-mobile branded phone.

EDIT: nm read the wrong version up above.

    • Cris

hi.. need help. does your tmobile
1.53.531.16 710RD One S, show signs of flicker like glitch on some apps like, where’s my water, lane splitter and  train conductor? please reply… thanks

  • Rudy M

Are they going to disable anything with this update like they did with the sensation?

  • eddie

tmobile is retarded.i asked if i could get a htc one s cuz my amaze screen bleed is super annoying and the phone gets hot.they said no.and they wont do anyexchange

    • So T-Mobile is to blame for not being willing to hand out major phone upgrades to every customer who complains about an issue. That wouldn’t be very smart business practice, I’m sure they would rather try and provide a replacement first.

  • Bart

Never Forget the Samsung Behold II !!! I’m happy with this phone as is, with the exception of its over-aggressive app killing. Take a call and the music programs all shut down, lame. Otherwise awesome. I hope that this update doesn’t kill my Mobile AP tethering that they gave me as part of a “promotion” when I bought it…  It costs 180 a year otherwise.

  • Raj

I have a HTC one S and already have this update, I don’t recall downloading it or getting an update message but I already have it on my phone.

  • poisonoussting

thats cool i was just at the t-mobile store last week.i asked them if there was a rumor of an update for ics because i had seen the samsung galaxy s3 already had this version in its release party as was shown by one of the reviewer videos. They told me to just go to settings and check.I was afraid from so many comments from peoples posts saying phones these days are not getting timely updates but now rest assured that my phone is getting one.Hopefully this will not be the only one.i do remember my last couple htc phones had an update that came out a month after the phone was released and that was the only update for the rest of their lives.

I figure one of the reasons why ics was rumored to be so popular was that it was going to get more updates easier.I have no credible resource to site if thats accurate.just an assumption so sorry if its making an ass of u and me.lol

  • shoebox

Has anyone gotten the update yet?

  • Joe Mitchell

Still waiting on the Update…Where is it?

  • Jmstephens7

I just checked my current software and its saying i have the update already, Did some of the phones have it done when shipped out?

  • Jmstephens7

never mind i didnt realize what i was looking at, i have the old version but its telling me there isnt one available yet, im sure it will be ready at 11:55pm eastern time.

  • shoebox

I’m actually annoyed they didn’t update to ICS 4.0.4.  I regret getting the HTC One S, and wish I got the Galaxy Nexus instead.  I just find the HTC One S buggy as hell.  As a software engineering professional, a lot of these bugs should never have made it through.  The Galaxy Nexux, with less SKUs to test with should receive much more QA than the swarth of various devices offered by all carriers.  You know that the Nexus will always get Google’s full attention and testing.  Google has supported 4 devices in 5 years, which is much easier to support.

Only thing knock against the Nexus is that it doesn’t come integrated with TMo’s wifi calling … though I’m not 100% sure about this.

  • shoebox

Ugh … I got the update except the phone I bought of craigslist was rooted and updated with CWM … so the update won’t work.

  • guest

Got the update, using the check for updates function.

My signal fluctuation while on a call has been fixed. I’m happy
