Click For The Holidays

I don’t know about you, but when I hear HTC I think about high end, most likely Windows Mobile, phones.  Well, as we have heard before, HTC is planning to attack the midrange handset audience this year with the HTC Click.  HTC is really hoping (warning, financial mumbo jumbo to follow) to increase its revenues 11% and its shipments 19% in the latter half of this year (late Q3 or Q4) by releasing the low end Android device and some Windows Mobile device for another carrier (unimportant). Little is known about the extremely pocketable device, except for its full retail price of around $300, but I would say its bound to be similar to that windows mobile device, which has a 2.8-inch QVGA (240×320) touchscreen display, a 3 megapixel camera, GPS and a 528 MHz processor.  What do you think about a holiday season full of Clicks? Let us know in the comments!

Ha, well if its anything like the G1 news we just received, this thing might only be capable of storing ONE life of Android. So if Donut is released by fall and this comes out, this little device might not see his day to Eclair, if they limit his ROM. Ugly looking device IMO anyway. Stick with the mytouch till the G1v2 comes out first quarter 2010

What is so different from their other Android releases? Oh, the screen…

Yawnn..I understand HTC wants to increase profits. But do we really want to see this phone on Tmo? I doubt this would outsell the BB 8520 anyway as a “entry” level smartphone although it does appear to have 3G unlike said BB. How well are you really going to type on a 2.8 touchscreen? It better come with some HTC sourced keyboard. What version of the google OS will it come with? It cant have more rom than the G1. I guess im not the “target” audience for this phone anyway.
