T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders open on September 24, available to buy Oct. 17

IMG_4271

T-Mobile today announced that it will be opening up pre-orders for the next hotly-anticipated Samsung device: The Galaxy Note 4. The device will be available to pre-order from September 24th, with the release scheduled for October 17. Price-wise, you’re looking at a device priced the same as the base-model iPhone 6 Plus: $749. On EIP, that’s $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $31.24.

Pre-registration for the device has been very popular, as T-Mobile received nearly 100,000 entrants to win accessories like the Gear Circle and Gear 2.

Key Galaxy Note 4 specs:

  • Stunning 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED® display for rich colors
  • A refined S Pen™ with smooth and more natural pen-to-paper-like interaction
  • A 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera with a wider angle for capturing more of the fun and more of your friends
  • A 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization for sharper, crisper images and videos
  • Ultra Power Saving Mode which increases standby time up to 24 hours on only 10% of battery, once activated

As you well know, I walked away from Samsung’s IFA event in Berlin very impressed by the company’s latest and greatest phone. It’s solidly made, has an eye-catching screen and feels amazing in hand thanks to the soft textured finish on the back. What’s more, it’s powered by some of the fastest wireless technologies and processors around. And – although T-Mobile won’t say so officially – it is compatible with 700MHz spectrum currently being tested in various locations across the States.

If you’re not interested in the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus and want the greatest Android device: This is probably it. Mark it in your calendars and get excited.

Ok so what’s your opinion on the iPhone 4 and 4s iPhone 5 and 5s

        • Verizonthunder

At the time iPhone 4 was nice but the rest not so much. Still a duo core processor and still 1gb of ram.

        • JamesG

          Note3 > Note 4

        • Verizonthunder

Bravo it took you this long to respond and this is what you reply with… copy and paste side by side specifications lol.

        • JamesG

Have to appease the moron who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Carry on child

        • Verizonthunder

Yes that’s why you responded to my comment O-o

    • Roberto Jaimes

They beat the iPhone specs lol

      • Verizonthunder

I hate apple cannot handle the demand. I use the LG g flex which handles my demand and has a beautiful oled screen.

        • Bklynman

Just saw coworker Gflex, neone never play with one in a store, phone is very different than any other phone, like the way it looks, just wish it had memory card slot, hoping LG will release a Gflex 2 soon. Have the old jump, using a Note 3.

        • Verizonthunder

For gaming the graphics are amazing it’s vibrant and LG confirmed a next generation LG G flex.

    • AndrewR91

What part of the specs are you disappointed by?

      • Verizonthunder

No 64 bit processor, lack of 4gb ram, design is a mix between the s5 and note 3, no 64gb internal storage.

        • Note4

          Lmaooo ur a joke kid.

    • Ron Fleming

So which phone exactly did you compare it to that had so much better specs?
Of all the reasons someone might cite as a reason not to choose the Note 4, device specs is the LAST one I’d expdect to hear …

  • Lars Edson

What about the Sony Xperia Z3?

  • hanfeedback

Gonna get this, supposedly Samsung is offering $200 trade in on ANY working smartphone.

    • Nate2222220

No.. that’s not how it works, they will double your phone’s current market value and double it UP to $200..

      • ND

It might be just for T-Mobile blackberry customers only. when they upgrade to samsung

        • JamesG

          That promotion was months ago

        • SirMakoto

it was months ago, but it is still good until the end of this year. but if they do something similar to what att and vzw is doing right now, $200 for the iphone 4 trade in, then they’ll get some customers back.

      • hanfeedback

Perhaps you’re right, what you are referring to is the current offer. I have read at least 2 blogs that note a new promotion for the Note4, we’ll have to see when the site is actually up.

        http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-pre-orders-kicking-tomorrow

It’s near the top of the story.

  • Ra

With how i saw the iPhone pre-orders go down. I think I’ll just go in store on October 17th….

    • JamesG

Trust me, its not going to be as crazy as the iphone preorders

  • D_Wall__

How will this phone do without a case? I dont run one on my nexus 5. I dont see anything coming soon that i want to Jump too. I was banking on the Moto X but looks like thats not gonna be in store..

  • Jeremy Forney

Wonder if T-Mobile will sell the gold version?

  • taron19119

What the he’ll is going on t-mobile y are u so quiet about band 12

    • JB

If I was to guess, it’s because it’s not available wide spread yet. Those of us who want to know are geeky enough to find out ourselves. Lol

      • taron19119

I think the average person does not understand what band 12 is so im thinking they need to something to get people to understand theys y I think Verizon is doing xlte because the average person will understand that

    • twicetheprice

The Note 4 has band 12 and that’s all that matters.

Mention “Band 12” to common people and they won’t know what the hell you’re talking about. All they care about is if the device works.

  • mreveryphone

Will be picking this up on release day, then picking up the edge once it releases. I’ll then decide which one I want to keep. I hope that edge screen doesn’t disappoint…

    • monkeybutts

I can’t tell if you are serious about the Edge. I don’t know anyone who wants one.

      • mreveryphone

        Dead serious…

      • ZxyLady

I want one! I want one!!! So does everyone I know here in the good old Northwest.

  • J.J.

From prior experience i can’t trust preorder will arrive before/on launch day. I believe I’ll just go in the store. In my city there are never lines for a note series launch. Seems only apple generated that kind of buzz from the masses. Wish they did not wait almost a month and a half to release after announcing. Sept 4th to oct 17th is a bit much. Seems they would lose a few sales from the undecided who’s money is burning a hole in their pocket. Maybe some day they can narrow it down to a week or 2.

    • taron19119

Apple can release a phone so fast is because they start manufacturing there phones 5 or 6 months before they announced there phone and Samsung start manufacturing there phones 2 or 3 months before they announced there phone thats y apple phones all ways get leak

      • JamesG

Eh, Note 4 was leaked as well. Also 3 months of manufacturing time is a lot of units is it not??

        • taron19119

The note 4 hardware was not leaked and 3 months is not alot of units thats y Samsung release there phones a month after the announcement

        • JamesG

You must have not been on the internet much then…

        • MarcusDW

Proof or it didn’t happen. Solid leaks.

        • JamesG

Solid leaks? No such thing exist even for Apple. Its why its called a “leak” or rumor….

        • MarcusDW

a leak is a rumor that turned out to be true.

  • Paul Garrison

I can’t wait to see the comparison between the Note 4 and iPhone 6+.

    • taron19119

Note 4 blows the iPhone 6+ out the water apple is trying but not good enough now what can the apple lovers say now about who looks stupid

      • Cesar Fonseca

apple can’t compete with samsung as far as hardware… their phone specs are always superior… But apple has a more stable and controlled environment. Just like with a car.. the best car is not necessarily the one with the biggest engine. I’ve had Android and iPhone. both have cons and pros.

        • taron19119

Apple sucks I try an iPhone and gave I back after 24 hours android is the best u just have to realize that every android maker give u a different experience and you have to find the experience that is right for you

        • Paul Garrison

Apple fans always say that stuff and my question is please explain how it is more stable. Maybe you mean restrictive. The best thing about android to me is the customization. I can take 5 different Nexus from 5 different people and all of them would looking entirely different, tailored to each own unique tastes.

    • Scooter Da Champ

      Note 4 kill iPhone 6+

    • MarcusDW

If I weren’t die – hard android & Samsung (Note) then I would be all over the 6+.

  • Paul Garrison

Wait a minute, where is Google on the next Nexus.

    • JamesG

      They’re usually announced in October

      • Paul Garrison

        Okay, thanks.

  • Jay Holm

That’s $11.24 more per month than what I’m paying for my S4, way, way too much! If I were to get a new smartphone, I would want to keep my EIP at $20/mo.

    • taron19119

That’s y Samsung did not go all out on the gs5 because that phone is for people who does want to play alot for a phone but want a thats high end

    • JamesG

The note 4 cost $100 more, you can lower the monthly payment if you pay more up front

    • SEBA

Samsung will pay you 200 for your S4 so you buying note 4 for $449 and your monthly payments should be $18.70

  • Chris

Waiting for the Nexus 6 announcement. Then I either pick up that, or the Note 4. Love these choices!

  • MarcusDW

I’m excited to be upgrading to the Note 4 but sad that my Note 2 still wont have KitKat.

4.4 will have been out for 50 weeks once this phone is available. SMH

    • g2a5b0e

I’m in the same exact boat & I feel the same way. Not sure about AT&T & Sprint, but I know Verizon users have had it for months. A few short years ago, Verizon was the worst at updates & T-Mobile was the best. What happened to that?!

  • kekel1123

I ask Tmo regarding open enrollment for JUMP. They told me for JUMP open enrollment the first device that needed to be upgraded is only for IPHONE, that sucks! I want a GALAXY NOTE 4!!!

    • WHY Must people ask these questions? Just call CS and ask for JUMP to be added to your line. If they question you, all you need to mention is that during uncarrier 7.0, their own CEO advised that you’d be able to add JUMP thru open enrollment. . Mention nothing about the GN4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • kekel1123

That what the rep told me . I added jump over the phone and I think as far as I understand , thats their catch for open enrollment. I know it SUCKS BIGTIME! Normally Jump is offered only within the 1st 14 days of the new device. I have my phone for almost 1 yr and did not have JUMP before. I enrolled to get an upgrade coz i paid 50% of the phone already on EIP and I wanted a Note 4 for the upgrade but the rep told me I can only upgrade on Iphone 6 or Plus for the 1st upgrade…..

        • kekel1123

I sent a tweet to @tmobile and called Customer care to verify this issue. When I enrolled to JUMP last Sept 17, I was MISINFORMED by the rep because the tweet they replied and the rep I talked to yesterday told me I can get wifi calling enabled smart phone. This makes me HAPPY! cant wait to have the EITHER samsung note 4 or the edge. Coming from an Iphone 5C , i hate this phone!

      • Adam

Jump! open enrollment only qualifies to customers who currently do not own a Wi-Fi Calling handset.. this way making them eligible to upgrade to a Wi-Fi Calling enabled handset since Uncarrier 7.0 is Wi-Fi unleashed – WiFi calling and texting for every Simple Choice customer.

  • ND

From CNET: Samsung will offer a “guaranteed total trade-in of $200” on working smartphones that are swapped for a Galaxy Note 4 preorder. This means that even if your old phone isn’t deemed worth more than $50, you still get $200 to spend on a Galaxy Note 4. The deal is available between Friday and October 16.

    • Bklynman

You have to give your phone to Samsung itself or thru your carrier? Can you give more detail about this offer? Thank you.

      • ND

That information is not available yet. you can refer to this article

The offer is up to $200 not guaranteed $200.

  • Jon

Excited but ugh that price it’s a bummer but if you want something nice you’ve got to pay the price. I imagine that’s the 16gb model? Or has Samsung gotten with the times and started offering 32gb devices as the standard?

    • Mike Coleman

dunno for sure, but the note 3 had its smallest offering as 32gb (and yes, i do own it). then again…the note 4 did see the downgrade back to usb 2.0, moving the speaker to the back instead of on the bottom….so who knows. could be another downgrade :p

also a disappointment is that i believe we are getting the version that isn’t 64bit? i could be wrong on that. but i think i read that the exynos other countries are getting is 64bit while the snapdragon we are getting is not

either way, i think i may hold out until the note 5. yeah its got some improvements over the note 3 with the camera and the screen, but not enough for me to make the move i dont think. there is the band 12 support, but they havent even really started rolling that out widescale yet, so unless they put it out in my area soon, it just doesnt seem worth it to me. by the time they get that coverage out well enough over the next year, the note 5 will be right around the corner which i will be more than happy to buy :)

      • superg05

the note 4 has 4 mics

        • Mike Coleman

I meant speaker. Not microphone. Sorry

    • superg05

all notes since note 3 will be 32 and up only

  • Eboogz

I have a Note 3 and have used many other android devices. I love iOS and Android however, iOS has better apps and a smoother feel. The Note 4 does look nice but not enough for me to upgrade from the Note 3

    • Jon

To each their own but the sub par screen on the Note 3 is reason enough. Along with some software enhancements. Also an improved S-Pen. The screen on the Note 2 was better than the 3.

      • Eboogz

For me I look for day to day functionality with respects to the os and device overall. I love this OIS in Sony’s Z and I’m sure the iPhone and Note 4 will be better with these features

      • HothTron

Subpar screen? Dude, your standards are simply unrealistic

      • twicetheprice

Subpar screen? I don’t know what you’re smoking, but you should be polite enough to share with everyone else.

      • AcemanX AcemanX

subpar? lol the note 2 was 720p…the note 3 is 1080p…note 4 1440p…woooooo LOVE SAMSUNG, ill be waving at the iphone 6 plus on their 1080p screen and say, man that is so 2013! LOL

  • yael

Can’t wait to buy the Note 4!

  • Bklynman

I think for myself,I am going to wait, between now and Jan more new phones will be coming out,I think I will wait for the new Sony, and see if LG brings out a new Gflex. Using a Note 3,
right now. Also will wait for the reviews, and see what kinds of bugs the new phones with have, that new to be iron out.

  • Troy

I don’t see anything special about it to upgrade from Note 3.

    • AcemanX AcemanX

well ive had the note 2 and got the note 3 on launch day because it was an uprgade, and just like the note 3 when it came out it was the best you could get, so is the note 4 going to follow in its steps..and i have to be very honest, this is an upgrade, we are getting 2 things that never before has Samsung EVER introduced into their lineup, and we, the amazing note owners, get to have them! (haha sorry S Series :P ) They are the 1) QuadHD SUPER AMOLED display, which is the worlds first, over 515 PPI! created by the guys that actually build and create the stuff, these guys build it and others use it, they make the memory, they make the lcd screens others use, anyways regarding the screen it was ranked recently by DisplayMate as THE best display ever created for a phone with the best RGB reproduction, they said it was so good professional photographers can use it to calibrate their scenes, apparently no display ever hit the numbers these independent researchers found..google “note 4 best display ever” and 2) which i think is a reason alone, we FINALLY get OiS, optical image stabilization, on a 16MP shooter that can record in 4K no less, finally this amazing technology is put in by Samsung after all these years of asking for it from seeing it on the Iphone, blur free shots baby!

Also 2 other honorable mentions are: 3) the additions of the finger print scanner and heart rate monitor are defintely a plus and upgrade, along with the UV detector. Upgraded Spen, more efficient barttery, faster cpu, etc…all the norms, 4) finally a metal bezel! Wooo its gonna feel so premium, can’t wait!!!

Honestly the ONLY downgrade, if you can call it that is that they went back to 2.0 for USB rather than 3.0, but they did include a rapid charge 50% in 30 min feature…i will be there, first in line for this one

  • HTC

I’m waiting for the HTC phablet !!! I heard from internal sources … That’s its going to be water proof!! Yea

    • Jordan

Like the M8 but 13 mp w/OIS instead of that mrico bs

  • Matt Davis
  • Larry Griffin

is the edge going on sale as well

    • taron19119

      No

  • sharklover

I got the LG G3 instead of this. It is much cheaper and smaller and lighter. Double tapping the screen to turn it in on is so much better. I used a SG3 and 4 before. Take a look at it before you buy this.

    • Aooga

It doesn’t have the S-pen nor a good screen or a metal build. And the Note 4 becomes $549 if you pre order it.

      https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/note4/

    • MadJoe

How’s battery life? Have you rooted it? Is there development support for the G3? Serious questions. I would rather pay $580 for the G3 than $750 for the Note 4 if they were equal, but there are other considerations I need to address before pulling the trigger on one or the other.

      • Sharklover

Battery life is much better than my SG4. Not great if using the screen a lot. If I don’t use it much it will still have 80% at the end of the day. I have not rooted it. I think currently the lg g3 is $510 and free case. It’s the perfect size. No buttons on the side are great

        • JHI889

Note 4 is way better (S-AMOLED, Snapdragon 805 with faster GPU, stylus..). You get what you pay for (except Apple, of course)

        • Sharklover

Sure if you don’t mind the bigger size and extra weight. Phone is also 50% more expensive.

  • duo thai

does T-Mobile require money down to pre order? I don’t even remember there being pre order for the note 2 and note 3as it was first come first serve. to me pre orders implies stock will be low.

    • Aooga

Not if you have good credit.

      • John

Actually you are sorta of right and sorta of wrong. Here’s why: I have excellent credit so when I went to preorder the iPhone 6 16gb( $649 value) I had the option of $0 down. However, when I went to pre order the iPhone 6 + 64gb ($849 value) I had to put $99 down

        • Aooga

The iPhone 6+ in 64 and 128gb configs are the only phones that require any money down on TMO. I’m just assuming he means the Note 4 since this is a Note 4 article

        • John

Also the iphone 6 128gb ($849 value) also requires $99 down with excellent credit. Pretty much any device exceeding ($750 value) will require $99 or $199 down with excellent credit.

        • Guest

Yeah you’re right. I would never pay $849 for a phone though lol

        • John

Yeah it’s a lot but I preordered the Iphone 6+ 64GB ($849 value) and I put $99 down. I didn’t want to spend a lot but I needed a much bigger screen and more than just 16 GB of memory.

        • Guest

You’re commenting on an article about the Note 4 that has everything that you’re looking for and 128gb of storage (with a $30 sd card). But if you don’t like android, then you didn’t have much of a choice I guess.

        • John

          What phone did you order?

        • Guest

Nothing yet, but I’m going to order the Note 4 on the 24th.

        • John

Are you coming from Ios to android?

        • Guest

1 upgrade ago. I had the iPhone 5, then went to the note 3, now the note 4.

        • John

Yeah, I prefer Apple and IOS. I just never understood why apple dosen’t let you add your own SD card to increase flash memory

        • Guest

Money. I can never imagine going back to a phone that I can’t just download something from the browser and save it to my phone. I think i’m going to delete all these comments…they’re really off topic

        • John

Best of Luck to you with your Samsung Note 4 preorder

        • Toasted_Cracker

But you will pay $750? Lol

        • taron19119

Your wrong all the way the iPhone 6 and 6 plus 16tbs is 0 down the 64gb is 99 down and 128gb is 199 down to keep the payment the same on all models

        • John

Where in my post did I say that the iphone 6 plus 16gb was $99 down? If you actually read and comprehended all of my posts you will see that I said any device exceeding $750 would be $99 or $199 down with good credit. The iphone 6 plus 16gb is $750 so you get it for $0 down with excellent credit. As the iphone 6 plus 16gb dosen’t exceed $750. So you are wrong all the way about my posts. I never specially mention the 16gb iphone 6 plus until I started responding to you specifically.

        • taron19119

          Say what

    • John

To me preorder dosen’t necessarily imply that stock will be low, but rather that there will be a high demand for the product.

Sucks i’m only half way payed off on my Note 3 even with my Jump! program

    • superg05

pay off the rest and keep it as a backup then start a new epi

      • JBLmobileG1

This makes me wonder. What if you have jump but decided to keep your current phone and pay it off? According to the jump program you must trade in your phone when jumping. So how does this work, if say, you paid off your Old phone to give to a family member then wanted a new phone. Obviously, if it’s paid off, you shouldn’t have to give it up to get a new phone. Can anyone answer this question?

        • velociti

If you decide to keep your old phone, you would not receive credit towards a new phone. You can still buy a new phone, but it would be at full price.

        • john

you would not receive credit towards a new phone either way, when you trade in a device that credit goes toward the unpaid Eips left on your old device and not on your new device.

        • superg05

you do not have to give it up you keep it and can even get it unlocked. you just start a new device epi pay the taxes on the device at purchase

    • AcemanX AcemanX

EDIT: this is the old JUMP from before feb 23rd which I have, if you got it before then this applies to you, they pay off the whole EIP, not just up to half like they do now

the idea of jump is to not worry about the eip since when you turn in your phone, jump wipes out whatever the EIP is and starts over with the new phone, currently my eip is 300 but the trade in for my note 3 is 244 as I checked today on tmobiles site, i simply hand in my phone, they wipe the eip, and start fresh on new one, even though technically im “negative” since my payoff is higher than what my trade is worth…it’s almost like buying a car, however JUMP avoids all of this and just lets you trade in without having to worry about these things

      • HothTron

I have the new Jump! when I got my Note 3 in March, so i’m SOL

  • Luis

any word on the Note Edge?

    • LanceSumStrong

      I wanna know too!

    • Oliver Jackson

      Late October and early November

    • CRod

wish I could wait for it but im going crazy here!

    • Bud

      $1300 full retail price.

      • Toasted_Cracker

        Source?

        • Brown Data

          his bung hole.

    • ZxyLady

From the sources at Samsung that I spoke to,,, The Edge will cost between $850 and $950 USD. It won’t be $1300. That figure is in another monetary format. And conversions aren’t all that accounts for costs. That’s why in Europe, Australia, Asia, Etc. phones always cost more than in the US.

      • Laststop311

the edge is such a gimmick. The wrap around screen is impractical and will never catch on especially at a price premium

  • Shlomo Boukai

Just to check, it looks like this announcement means that they’ll only be carrying the 32GB model. While this bums me out, I’ll still get it. For me the bare minimum internal memory a smartphone must have is 32GB. This is what stopped me from getting the Galaxy S5 as T-Mobile only had the 16GB model. I’m still really excited. This’ll be my return to Android after 3 years with the iPhone 4S and 5S.

  • Kweisi

Would there be a 64 gb tombile variant?

  • Oliver Jackson

Can’t wait. I’m definitely jacked for this. Can’t wait to get my hands on this bad boy and play with it myself. February will be my strike month. And with the 700mHz A block spectrum, the Note 4 is a unstoppable beast after they do the testing

    • Richard Yarrell

You how we roll especially #SamsungKnights. This is our time.

      • Leslie

        Lol boys and their toys!

    • EffortLess

It doesn’t currently list support for 700mHz A block on their site:
      Band (frequency):
      Quad Band GSM; UMTS: Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850); LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17

  • CRod

Man I can’t wait for this device!! I’ve been checking sammobile and google news and other sites on the daily just to hear any kind of information regarding the release date!.. I had a note 3 originally and sold it to offset some of the costs (made 550) off of it with a zerolemon battery!) so I can pretty much add the rest and pay the device in full but I had to downgrade to a crappy LG F7 so yea it’s been tough and unbearable but im trying to hold it together for now ANOTHER month honestly I was hoping the for Edge but I don’t think I can holdout any longer.. so looks like i’ll be a note 4 owner day one!

    • Com’sence

I have been in a situation like you, I am constantly check and read to find any information regarding note 4 pre order status on yahoo news but yahoo seem favor to Apple and keeping update few days before iPhone 6 start taking pre order until today and BIAS Samsung note 4. But I don’t care what people think and I am going to get note 4 for my family from T-Mobile anyway.

  • twicetheprice

I can’t wait, although I think I may hold out for the Note Edge. Still love my Note 3! :)

    • Anthony Braswell

you and me both… i am not moving from my Note 3 until the Edge is available.

  • AcemanX AcemanX

why do we have to wait till the 24th and the other carriers can start tomorrow? :P Im definitely getting it, upgrading from my note 3 using jump, like when I get the note 3 from the note 2…

  • SirMakoto

Cam, pls update this article with the new Sammy promotion of a $200 trade in for ANY smartphone. Link for reference, https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/Note4/

  • Victor

Actually like Samsung phones, had the s4 s5 and now the note 3, but they dropped the ball releasing this phone later then the iPhone 6 & plus

    • Richard Yarrell

My Note 2 and Note 3 will welcome the Note4 and Note Edge.

      • Hakim Leveille

I ain’t Ballin like that, had to sell my Note 3 and borrow my homeboy’s Note II to get the money up for the note 4

        • Richard Yarrell

As long as you get to enjoy the Galaxy Note 4 that’s all that matters.

        • Hakim Leveille

I keep telling you that I’m tetrying to get mine before even you, I’m posting the time

        • yankeesusa

So are you paying monthly or paying all up front? Do you think best buy mobile will have a discount like they do on newly released phones?

        • krym73

Best buy won’t be selling the note4 for t mobile.

        • yankeesusa

I completely forgot about that. Supposedly their gonna start in 2015.

      • yankeesusa

By the way, did Google wallet tap and pay ever start working on the note 3?

      • squiddy20

Says the guy who claimed to have sold his Note 2 to get the Note 3…

        • Richard Yarrell

As usual the Sprint live in 2011 asshole is way off base. That was sold and rebought. Of course when you can’t afford anything you remember what others buy. That make me happy I will be posting when i buy my Note 4 on October 17th then when the Note Edge arrives I will post again. I love to flame people who are stuck buying items every three years or just stuck on contracts. Here on T-Mobile i buy year products left and right waiting on that Gear S too. Face reality squiddy20 you have been a no buying for years i love embarrassing you here and on androidandme cause you can’t afford to purchase shit..

      • Laststop311

does samsung pay you or something? all u do is say samsung is better than motorolla its better than apple samsung tizen is the best samsung wearables are the best. Samsung isnt the best in everything. Every brand has something they are better at. You are so blind by your brand loyalty you dont see the good in anything else.

I love my note 2 but I would love to switch to something else. The iphone 6 plus was looking great but no band 12. A lumia 1020 successor thats not at&t exclusive would be great too, You are so tunnel visioned on samsung its sick. I will get the note 4 if t-mobile officially announces it supports band 12 but not because I think samsung is the only company that can make a good phone I need band 12 for indoor reception.

        • Richard Yarrell

I feel sorry for you faceless losers who always worry about me. Live the sad life you are destined to live I am doing just fine much better than the rest of you clowns. I buy what I want when i want and often I’m not on a budget like you fools. SAMSUNG is android I will say that year and year out it will never change regardless of you pecker heads..

        • squiddy20

What’s sad is, you are the one living a “sad life”. All you do is go around to tech websites, usually about Android, and scream at the top of your lungs about how Samsung is soooo great and every other company is “crappy”, even Google, the company that supplies the OS your “pimp slapping” Note 3 runs on. Your G+ page is nothing but this. Same for your Facebook. Your whole miserable life seems to revolve around a $600-$750 smartphone. That’s sad.
Also, Samsung being “king” will change. Or have you forgotten just the few short years ago (3 or so) where you were practically worshiping HTC, saying almost the exact same things. Specifically about how they would “always be king” or “on top”. Now look at them, and your pitiful, bandwagon jumping, nonsensical sayings.
Finally, way to act like the mature 55+ year old man your profile picture makes you out to be, using racial slurs and such. Your family (and not your “samsung family”) must be proud.

    • AdamBath

iPhone 6/6+ release has little to no bearing on people who would buy the Note 4, IMO. I was interested in the 6 until I found it only has 1GB of ram, now I certainly won’t make the switch to iOS. Probably going to get the Note 4 or Note Edge.

      • mac

1 gig of ram doesn’t matter. The A8 dual core is just as powerful as the quad core snapdragon in a samsung. Samsung just installs a chip while apple designs a custom chip to perform with its os software causing it to outperform a snapdragon easily. Check the benchmarks. You guys know nothing about building a phone. specs dont matter.

        • PeteSmith

“apple designs a custom chip to perform with its os software causing it to outperform a snapdragon easily” Samsung builds the chip that goes into the iPhone. Oh, and they build the Retina displays for Apple as well. Facts, they are your friend.

  • Com’sence

IPhone 6 discussions go somewhere else.

  • Philip

I read you can pre-order thru the phone now. Has anyone else done it?

  • Kissa

So how do preorders work with the old Jump! Program?

    • JamesG

I dont see what you mean, it works the same

  • Bklynman

Was thinking about getting this now, with my Jump, and also getting it with the promotion, with the trade in,read the fine print of it,the trade in phone must have trade in value for at least $10.00,Sammy will made up the different,so if Tmo gives you a $50.00 for your phone,Sammy wil give you the rest in check, not prepaid card, which is not bad, tell me when did Apple give anyone money back to buy one of there phones? Myself,I am going to wait,
to see what comes out between now and Jan,hoping hoping LG will out a new Gflex with a card slot. Also by then all the reviews will be in,and any bugs will be work out by then too.
Enjoy all who is getting it now.

    • skywalkr2

I wish LG would tell us what to expect with a new Flex… I want it badly, but do not want to wait for January in vain.

      • Bklynman

Also I wish Lg would of release the Gpro 2 to,all carriers, not just to Att. I just read it quick on Phone Area,Gpro 2 was out, didn’t read all the details, just skim,
the article it was release to Att,(if I read it right),sure in heck,Tmobile didn’t get it. I can wait, not even sure if Lg is going to release flex 2. Have not read anything that they will. We will see, right now using Note 3.
By Jan all the new phones should be out,I will read the reviews, make a choice,
if I decide to get the Note 4,by then all bugs should be iron out. Good luck in choice which phone you get.

  • EastOakland510

I hope the note edge be released in Oct 17 as well

    • Anthony Braswell

      yeaaa you and me both

    • Laststop311

Really? You actually let that gimmicky wrap around screen entice you? Have fun with that I guess.

    • JamesG

      Not until 2015

  • Laststop311

Well I was waiting for a band 12 compatible device before i upgraded from my note 2. But until t-mobile officially says they will support it on the note 4 I am not going to buy it. Just because the hardware of the note 4 may be able to support it it doesn’t mean t-mobile’s firmware on the phone will support it. Why won’t they officially say it’s supported? North east ohio is smack dab in the middle of a band 12 area and I’m not going to add an extra 31 dollars a month on my bill unless i get to make use of this. Everytime I go into a large building with multiple walls I lose signal no penetration on aws. Library, hospital, some restaurants, large buildings downtown all the same signal goes to hell.

Honestly I kinda enjoy my bill bein 74 dollars for true unlimited everything. For me to raise that to 105+ a month I need the band 12 support so I can keep my signal in buildings better. I don’t really need any of the new features and my phone is already fast enough. If I could get band 12 on the note 2 I wouldn’t even upgrade. Then I’ll keep the note 4 until I need a new phone to get the 600mhz spectrum they acquire compatible.

    • wazmo

It supports Band 12-the FCC says so.

      • Laststop311

Doesn’t matter what the hardware supports if t-mobiles firmware doesn’t enable it which they have not alluded to yet. I’m not spending 750 dollars unless I get a guarantee directly from t-mobile. I will patiently wait until I have solid 100% proof of band 12 support. If not from the note 4 I will wait for a phone that does.

        • JamesG

Tmobile will send a firmware update to enable it. Just because the site doesnt list it doesnt mean tmobile will take advantage. They would be stupid not to

      • EffortLess

Thier Note 4 Page lists Band (frequency):
        Quad Band GSM; UMTS: Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850); LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17

        • superg05

          Fcc says yes https://apps.fcc. gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=2386351

        • Laststop311

do u read anything we say? Just because the hardware in the note 4 supports it doesnt mean it will work on t-mobile. If t-mobiles firmware does not enable it it will never work. Currently the software for the note 4 does not enable band 12 on t-mobile

        • superg05

yes because they would ask and pay Samsung to include it but not turn it on right……… anyways it will likely be a note 2 type of situation

        • JamesG

It will support it, its not on Tmobile site because band 12 isn’t launched yet. The galaxy avant has band 12 but its also not listed, calm down

    • superg05

      its supports band 12 https://apps.fcc. gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=690935&fcc_id=A3LSMN910T

  • csmits

You know what bugs me? T-mobile had (probably still has) this sign up sheet where you can give your email and so to “keep you up to date” about the note 4 at t-mobile. Did I receive any word on this news? Nope. Why did I give them my email address?

  • Anthony Braswell

    Any word on the EDGE?!

  • ragumaster

We are currently doing scheduled system maintenance. Orders and transactions will be unavailable until 8am PDT. Thanks for your patience. i guess no note 4 pre order tonight :(

    • spartanjet

I like the way new customers can pre-order the note 4 but its current customers get a big FU.

    • csmits

Note 4 is going up for pre-order at 9 am ptd (12 pm est) as per the news article sent out by tmobile. So even without the maintenance you would not have been able to order it.

  • csmits

hmm interesting. Their news article stated the pre-order would start at 9am PTD (12PM EST) but I was just able to pre-order mine (10AM EST). It states it would come out the 15th of october (2 deays earlier then first said?)

    • ND

I was able too order too.

  • Erick Saavedra

does anyone know if its going to come in gold?

  • Erick Saavedra

does anyone know if it will come on gold?

  • Erick Saavedra

is it going to be available on gold

  • Erick Saavedra

why they keep on erasing my question?

  • ClimbGuy

Does anyone know if I’ll be able to make voice calls and use LTE data at the same time?

    • Philip

I can with my HTC One M7. I dont see why not with a newer phone like this.

    • zeiferx

yes! Note 4 is VoLTE capable out of the box. its already being done on the Note 3

    • JamesG

You can do this on any GSM phone

  • Bing

Will this support an “always listening” mic like Siri on iPhone 6? Due to a severe physical disability, I’m unable to tap screen or push a button. I need as hands free as possible!

    • JamesG

It will, every phone that has a Snapdragon 801 or higher supports it. It has “ok google”

      • Bing

I tried it on my HTC M7, but can’t answer calls.
