Screen Shot 2014-03-07 at 14.58.21

Just a quick pointer for you guys towards a pretty unbelievable deal going down at NeweggFlash.com. If you get there in the next 18 hours, you’ll be able to grab yourself a new Nokia Lumia 925 for just $249, no contract. That’s a 50% drop in price for what I think is easily the best Lumia phone to date.

On the page it offers a variety of ways to pay, including 0% financing, PayPal and Newegg’s preferred account. As for shopping from Newegg, I’ve not experienced it personally. So, be sure to let us know your dealings with the company. What’s the best deal you’ve ever seen for a phone there?

Deal available here.

    Whoa what a deal

Love working with Newegg! I get most of my computer parts from them. Very quick shipping & very responsive customer care. I just upgraded my PC last month and found that the Mobo and graphics card was bad (at 2 separate times). They shipped out a replacement Mobo immediately and then had me send in my bad Mobo when I got the new one in. They overnighted the graphics card to me also when that went bad. Also, they gave me a $10 credit because the price of the card went down from when I ordered it.

There’s been a number of deals circulating for the 925 – methinks T-Mo is dumping overstock to clear out a phone that’s soon to be EOL. That’s not to say the 925 isn’t an amazing phone – I picked one up myself at ShopHQ for $229, with earbuds and generic screen protectors in a bundle. Windows Phone is *severely* underrated, and the 925 is one of the best.
Newegg is a great online store – I get all of my electronic gear from them, TigerDirect and Amazon. They have great customer service, shipping is fast (although Amazon Prime beats them all), and I’ve never had an issue they couldn’t resolve to my satisfaction.
Best deal? Easily the Nokia N900 from Newegg – when the N900 was still $600 (and Maemo was still supported), they ran an online “Egg Hunt” contest. I scored the N900 for $150 flat. After using it for over a year, I resold it for around $250.

    • bisayan

I had that 925 deal from shophq! I have the phone now and its the greatest deal for 925! And I used their 6 payments plan Boom! The deal is even better! lolzz

    • Ordeith

Hopefully it doesn’t go EOL at T-Mobile before the release of WP 8.1. Would hate T-Mobile to treat their Lumia 925 users as poorly as they treated their Lumia 810 users.

      • sun_dog

At least the 925 isn’t as T-Mobile specific as the 810 was. So if (when) T-Mobile drops support we can hope that Microsoft / Nokia will step in and provide updates directly.

  • tss

Would have got one now if it only had removable storage. Or atleast 32 gb memory.

  • jmro20

Try to buy it, It says it’s out of stock when checking out!!

    • jmro20

Update: It still in stock, the problem is that apparently it has shipping restrictions to Puerto Rico. If you use a US address then you can complete the checkout.

Got it seeing the Newegg deal 2 weeks ago. Thought it could be a good spare to my Galaxy Note 3. Mine came with a stereo speaker case. The 925 is a great phone. Popped in my micro sim from the Note 3, I got it all updated to Nokia Black and I am really enjoying it so far. Can’t wait to see what WP8.1 will bring. Hopefully, we will not have to wait too long for the Tmo update after WP8.1 is officially released!

  • CornFedRich

Question: will the AT&T Lumia 1520 work on the fastest LTE that T-Mobile has? (I assume it will NOT work on HSPA+) ?

    • Nurdface Gamerhandz

I own one unlocked on tmobile. Only network that doesn’t work is non-refarmed HSPA+. I get LTE, HSPA on the new bands, and 2G

  • TheCudder

I considered picking up a Lumia 925 with the $200 BB trade-in credit, but after playing with it in store it looks pretty silly & rather awkward with such oversized tiles compared to the smaller live tiles (in large size) you get on a smaller WP device, such as my old Lumia 710 with a 3.7″ screen. WP8 scaling is terrible on large devices. I’m interested in seeing how the 3 colums of tiles looks on the 1520.

    • Whiskers

You can make the tiles small as well and have alot of them if that’s your thing.
On my 925 i have all three sizes being used for different apps that are important to me.

      • Whiskers

My two grips about my 925 and most other Nokia phones is the square edges and the speakers being on the back.
Always wonder why they can’t put the speakers on the front like the HTC One , or atleast on the bottom of the phone where you can her the sound better .

On the back actually sucks !

    • D_Wall__

I purchased a 925 Launch Week. Traded it in around Jan. I was a fan of Windows, It was just missing things i liked Google Maps, Clash of Clans. I went through two replacements due to the Speaker quit working. Nokia is a solid built phone but not where i needed it to be. I Jumped to a Nexus 5. Love it But The one thing i miss from the 925 was the Picture quality.

  • timmyjoe42

Does this have wifi calling? I don’t see it in the listing.

    • Nurdface Gamerhandz

All tmobile androids, blackberries, and windows phones except for the Nexus series have wifi calling

      • TMOguy

        That’s not true.. I am a T-Mobile employee.
The 925 does have WiFi calling. Many other phones do not. (i.e lumia 521, HTC 8X)

        • Nurdface Gamerhandz

8x is no longer for sale through retail channels and i suggest you take a look at the 521 again.

        • mikkej2k

          521 has WiFi calling.

        • TMOguy

I’ll stand corrected on the 521, my bad.. The 8X definitely doesn’t, though and my point there is not all androids, blackberries and windows phones have it – that have ever been produced.. Just don’t want to mislead folks there.

  • Jake

They’re all sold out apparently because the deal says “Sale Ended” now. But thanks for pointing it out Cam! And TMOguy, the 521 does in fact have WiFi Calling.
My bet is with all these sales on the 925, TMo is going to EOL it like other commenters have said. I only hope A) they still support it with software updates–unlike the 810, and B) it is because they’re introducing a new high-end WP8 device and not abandoning the high-end WP8 market altogether!

  • Mike

Bummer. Sold out. And I was just looking at my friend’s 925 thinking I’m ready to make the plunge and change to Windows but wasn’t wanting to spend the $500 for it. Next time…

  • KR

Newegg offers the Nokia Lumia 925 No-Contract ezWindows Phone 8 Smartphone for T-Mobile bundled with an iLuv Portable Speaker Case for $279.99. Coupon code “CEWK728″ drops it to $239.99. With free shipping, that’s $10 under our expired mention from three days ago

Of course I missed it.. I want the 925 but I’m afraid that as soon as I buy it, then T-mobile will come out with their version of the 1020 or 1520 as soon as I do. I think I’m still going to get the 925 for myself and then when a better one comes along, I’ll give the 925 to my wife and upgrade for myself… Win win!!

    • Ordeith

Tired of waiting for T-Mobile to show the platform some support. Got a 1020, put it on AIO…. Win win!!

      • http://threestarsmarketing.com NateMaas

Pardon my ignorance, but what is AIO? And how well does it work with Tmobile’s network?

        • thepanttherlady

AIO is a MNVO for AT&T.

        • jsteve2122

wrong AIO is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. mvno’s use national carrier’s network but are not owned by them. and now AT&T owns Cricket and will merge AIO and Cricket and keep Cricket name.

        • Ordeith

AIO is a cell service provider using AT&T’s network with similar single plan pricing as T-Mobile.
Search AIO Wireless to find them.
You can use AT&T phones with them without having to unlock them first.

        • jsteve2122

panther lady wrong AIO is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. mvno’s use national carrier’s network but are not owned by them. and now AT&T owns Cricket and will merge AIO and Cricket and keep Cricket name.
