Sick of these calendars yet?  I didn’t think so.  Latest tidbit, as promised, the launch date of the 10.1 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, which is slated for October 26th.  If you are waiting for the 7 inch Tab, you may just have to wait a week more.  Anyone picking this Tab up on launch day?

T-Mobile is better off being independent, we dont need AT&T or DT :)

Pricing Please? Also quick question. I have a dealer account and I called yesterday and found out we have new plans for MBB.
    $10 for 2GB (completely stops at 2GB)
    $20 for 5GB (completely stops at 5GB)
    $40 for 5GB with throttle.
My question is, I heard there’s a way to avoid throttle. Is it truly possible or still myth? If it’s true identity just get the $10 and be set :)

And when I say ‘We’ I mean dealer accounts.

I’m a T-mobile employee and I have 2GB for $10. Mine isn’t capped just throttled like the regular plans. I didn’t think the dealer plans were diff. Could be wrong.

The 10.1 has been out for a while now.  Hopefully T-Mobile doesn’t charge $500 or $600 for this device with a 2 year agreement.  Should be $275 with contract or $450-$500 without.  When they price this over the iPad 2 they are asking for terrible consumer adoption and poor sales.

The 10.1 is pretty.. I’ve seen it at Verizon but if I were in the market for a new tab I think I’d opt for a smaller 8.9 or 7″ one.

    Buying it here day one!

If I could pick this up at $200 sans mail in rebate it would convince me to keep my data only line. Maybe the 7″ will hit that price point.

The 10.1 is a beautiful and capable device, if I wasn’t so obsessed with the 7.7 and note(respectively), I would have been scooped this baby up..

But the recent passing of both the 7.7 and note(at&t bands, really?!) Through the fcc, gives me hopes for a late q4/early q1 u.s. Launch possibly with ics(yummy)..

My (far-fetched) hope, is that samsung will announce pricing and availability, at the upcoming unpacked(google edition) event.. guess I’ll just have to enjoy the vids from ifa, for now..

Micro sd card slot ftw!.. End rant

Android 4.0 (Icecream Sandwhich) Has yet to be confirmed as a tablet OS.. So far as Google has announced, Honeycomb is the platform optimized for tablets right now, which is fine by me.. Let them perfect that before moving to a redesign.

      • The Architect(of the matrix)

Hmmm, I thought ics is supposed the os that finally unifies the software for both phones and tablets, and basically addresses all the fragmentation..

But I take it that you’re saying, all this is unconfirmed speculation at this point.. At any rate the combination of h.c. 3.2 and t.w. 4.0 looks great on the 7.7.. So much so that if the 7.7 was available today I would totally buy it h.c. and all..

I’m looking fwd to the 11th, to get some confirmation on the nexus, as well as ics..

          You are right, TmoNinja WRONG.

    • zps

totally agree.  7.7 and note are where it’s at.

  • Flashy4bb

i was going to get the the htc flyer at 299 with best buy but with magenta outing all these devices, damn….it’s hard. i think samsung, you are the winner. i love htc sense interface but i’m for samsung. t mobile usa, you have it going. do your thing baby. we love you.

  • Pg1234

I will not be getting another tablet from Tmobile. I have the original Galaxy Tab and it has yet to be updated to Gingerbread. The release came out from Samsung in May and since then all other major carriers have updated. I don’t trust them to support their tablets.

    • J. Williams

I understand your pain, but you didn’t want to root and put it on yourself?

      • Pg1234

Don’t like the idea of voiding the warranty… I’ve downloaded the Italian rom but can’t bring myself to do it!

  • zps

if it had an sdxc slot, i’d be interested.  without, meh.   baffling decision, samsung.

  • zps

t-mobile, get the galaxy 7.7 AND note!  those are the samsung devices we want.

    • lukester182

I’m with you what did happen to the G-Slate? It seemed like it came out with a bang then it faded into the shadows.

After looking at the LG forums it seems that the tablet had a lot of ridiculous problems, i’m assuming that Tmo and LG just want to cover it up. It kinda sucks for the people who bought it 1st day and later on.
