Samsung Galaxy S 4G Arrives At Select Walmarts, Available For Sale

One of our trusty Walmart ninjas just sent word and some quick pics of the Galaxy S 4G arriving in stores. While they aren’t supposed to sell the device till the 23rd, surely you could persuade an unknowing rep to part ways with it. Of course we can’t give our blessing for that, but it wouldn’t be the first time Walmart has let a T-Mobile device sell a little early. If you’re interested in scoring a Galaxy S 4G from Walmart earlier or on launch day, it’ll set you back $148.88.

    Not bad for the price.

    • JayDubya

Of course, you only get that price if you’re eligable for full upgrade, adding a line or a new contract.

        I agree, JayDubya.

It’ll be nice though, if from here on out these new smartphones are offered at $148.88 if you’re eligable for full upgrade, adding a line or a new contract….and the Tablets are offered for $199.99 for the same group of customers. Makes perfect sense to me. Wishful thinking, but I hope that’ll be the new trend.

Your right, it is. Can u imagine what sales would have been like if they would have just released the Vibrant with these features from the beginning —– at this price? Wow!

Is the GPS problem fixed with this phone?

  • Which way is Up?

Ah, yes… Walmart. Where you go to cop a new phone days earlier than your friends, lol. God bless them. I scopped up my HD2 the weekend prior to its release. Very exciting to walk in knowing you’re doing something “wrong.” Yeah, it sucks that this shouldve been the first released version, but it is what it is at this point.

*Oh, and dont expect to get the discount as they will not be able register the sale that way, you’re going to have to pony up full retail… :)

Not sure this is the place, but I have the original mytouch 3G. A nice phone that I have had since it originally came out. The phone satisfies my basic needs for texting, checking email, music, videos, yada, yada, yada. The one thing I have grown tired of is the endless undates of my apps, and my phone not being upgradeable past its current software of Android 1.6 or whatever it is. I have to buy a newer phone for newer software. I’m not bagging on Android or the hardware makers, but DAMN! How many new phones are going to come out?
At one time I could not wait for the next new Android to hit T-Mobile, I have since grown tired of the endless stream of gotta have its. Samsung S 4G this week, Motorola that next week, HTC somthing else next month. I know its good for the consumer, and technology changes by the minute, but I fuction well in a more structured environment. I have been with T-Mobile since it was Voice Stream, how many of you can say that! I guess some of you know where I’m headed, but I can’t take it anymore, my wife is a Crackberry addict, and she is done too. We have an iPod Touch, getting ready to buy and iPad, and iPhone 5′s will be bought this summer. We are done, the fragmentation with Android is endless. If T-Mobile does not show signs of landing the iPhone buy the end of the summer I’m out. I know I’m going to get killed for this post, but I know I am not the only Android fan that feels like this.

I wish I could buy one here, but it won’t be for sale until summer :-(
