If you didn’t want to spend $1,000,000 dollars on your next device, perhaps purchasing an unlocked N900 is more to your liking. Dell is currently unloading the N900 unlocked with all their usual coupon offerings for a low price of $442 + Free Shipping + Tax. This deal comes courtesy of the fine folks at Slickdeals who know a thing or two about bargain hunting. If you’re looking to treat yourself to the super device that is the N900, and do it soon, this might be the best way to get it done.

Quote from my Dell Rep earlier today….”From what I found out.. Nokia’s release date is 11/15/09.
They haven’t yet given us firm numbers on how many we’ll be getting, but availability will be thin for the next couple of weeks after the release date.”
First you bitches!
T-Mobile has the worst devices. This is just another one of them. And the price! Please.. wtf. $444 for a phone when can git the iPhone for 99????? That’s why I’m leaving T-Mobile for Verizon!!!!!
@watbetch The Nokia n900 is considered by many to set a new standard in mobile computing. You’re right, it doesn’t compare to the iPhone. This is more a tablet pocket computer that also happens to be a phone. Go ahead and get your $99 iPhone with Verizon. Ha ha.
The N900 is one of the best most anticipated phones of the year are u on crack watbetch the n900 is like a computer in your pocket dweeb
I Was Set On The N900 But Now I Kinda Want a Android with 2.0 on it 3.7-4.0 screen and keyboard and 1Ghz Snapdragon on it and more Powerful then the droid to bad it does not exist yet if a phone like that does not come soon i guess i will get the n900 and call it a day because i have to have a keyboard
looks like a good deal, but I’m holding out for the HD2
@watbetch amazes me how people still don’t know the difference between a subsidized phone with a 2 year contract and an unlocked one with no ties. If you think you are paying only $99 for your iphone, you deserve it.
@watbetch the iPhone is $99 subsidized. Stop misleading people. Just so you know, if you bought the iphone unlocked and no contract it would cost about 600 to 800.
@watbetch y u crying about the phone price. you will pay over a thousand dollars more over the life of your contract with Verizon. i dont get how people cry about handset prices then switch to Att or Verizon and pay a shit ton more per month. doesnt make any sense to me.
Relax guys. When it comes out, I will see how it looks and works once it comes to the Nokia store.
Btw, anyone knows which TMO data plan(s) will work with this phone? (3g?)
Ordered from Dell for $469 total!
when i get this phone or any unlocked phone how would i get all the fetures to work on t-mobile , i thought you have to call them to ulock the phone for you ?
Why would you go to Verizon for the IPHONE? That is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on here
I was obviously making fun of the moron’s that keep claiming T-Mobile has overpriced device costs.. I’m glad someone caught it. Not.
^ and I’m talking subsidized or not.
unlocked phones have ALL of their features unlocked so all you have to do is put your sim in. No carrier can control your features due to the phone having software from the manufacturer and not the carrier. A.K.A no restrictions. I am sending this from a N82 using 5.99 unlimited web with a full flash enabled browser built in. i.e. not $524 FOR my N82 in 08. This is a good deal for the N900!
@watbetch
Sarcasm doesn’t always translate as it winds through the interwebs. Besides, there are enough ‘morons’ out there that will say *exactly* what you did, but actually mean it. Gotta love the intertubes.
I just bought the N900 at newegg a week ago for $560…dammit!
First off….this is a phone that HAPPENS to bear the bands for T-Mobile’s 3G network. This phone IS NOT a T-Mobile endorsed phone, it’s seems apparent that T-Mobile won’t be delivering the phone under their branding. At least for the time being.
Other carriers are already gearing up for the holiday season with new handset announcements and offers. Sadly, T-Mobile is leaving all with a basket full of something to crave.
Love the Phone. Sounds like a great deal! Only 3 things stopping me from jumping on this right away. 1 no MMS. 2 Have not tried the phone personally. 3 What if T-mobile eventually subsidizes it?
jmts80,
Tmo will not subsidize an unlocked device like the N900, but might offer with 20 month payments- who knows?
MMS is being worked on be devs now
Lmao…
Hey, this is a good price considering what we have seen in the past for the same device.
@watbetch: I was going to give you a pass but then something else stupid came out of your proverbial mouth. The iPhone, subsidized or not over the N900 and a slew of other Android and non-Android devices??? You have lost your mind!!! I’m not even going to address the whole “…leaving T-Mobile for Verizon” comment. You’re a f*#ktard to the worse degree!! I wish, I just wish I could listen to an Apple fanboy and say, “Hey, he has a point….” Yeah, but that never happens….
@ Rushmore
Glad to hear they are working on MMS. I still hold out some hope that T-Mo will pick this device up but who knows, they have disappointed me time and time again.
Damn I wish i lived in NYC or Chicago so I could try this phone @ the Nokia store.
Brit Blog Names iPhone ‘World’s Worst’
http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/108096/brit-Blog-names-iPhone-worlds-worst.html?mod=family-love_money
Just to let everyone know..I’m on Dells web site buying the N900 and it’s 599.00 with an 80.00 credit, which brings down the price to 519.00 not 442.00…if you have a bing account you could save an additinal 5% , which will bring it down to around 493.00…it’s a steep price…I’m thinking that the sony erisson x10 is a faster phone..I’m staring at the buy button…not sure if I could get that money back on ebay if I don’t like it…hmmm what to do…
Drew
You still don’t get it? The whole post was supposed to be like that. People leaving are claiming to be T-Mobile because Verizon/AT&T/Sprint has better handsets with better upfront handset prices.
Sprint is the only carrier that comes close to T-Mobile in monthly usage fes, and the devices like the dash/snap are cheaper at Sprint (not walmart or wirefly) only after MIR and people often have those denied.
I was pointing out that the cost of T-Mobiles handsets aren’t overpriced with or without device subsidization from T-Mobile and thats due to T-Mobile’s monthly costs. And that T-Mobile has some nice devices coming out like this N900
Is that clear enough for you?
paulied1:
X10 is NOT faster! Snapdragon uses an inferior DSP and GPU and tries to make up for it with CPU clock. This means more battery drain for same output. Please search for 3430 and Snapdragon comparisons and you will see
@ paulied1
Use coupon code 9PD$33PJFL5P21 (good til 11/6)however if you want to return there is a 15% Dell restocking fee.
@ paulied1
You need to use the coupon code to get it to $442 + tax. I suppose if you use bing you can probably get another 5% off that price… Idk.
Thanks everyone..I’m glad I have held off…so in summary..is everyone on the same page here..is the n900 a better phone then the S.E x10??? what would you guys do?? I’ll wait a few minutes before buying..secondly,,n900 is android, but is it 2.0??
I have to breathe here…n900 is not android…
@ Watbetch
I just wanted to let you know that I, and many others, have been talking about leaving because tmobile’s family plan prices are no longer competitive unless you either use very few minutes or want to pay much more for unlimited. I could care less about the price difference of the phones if they made it worthwhile. However, they don’t. They need myfaves back or some number of pooled minutes that is larger than 1500… They would also get more money from me if they would introduce some sort of family data plan, like sprint. Verizon’s additional data costs are the same, and they offer a family plan that is much more in line with people who don’t need unlimited but also talk more than 1500 minutes. Therefore, let’s see, mytouch 3g or cliq on a much smaller network for the same price as a droid on a much larger network? It’s getting old. Bring on the HD2 or something similar, and I’ll stick around. Otherwise, 5 more subscribers are leaving t-mobile within the next 6 months.
Also, as far as getting your sprint MIR denied… avoid the problem and buy your phones from best buy… same goes for verizon phones. I don’t normally like to purchase stuff from best buy, but you can’t beat the no MIR offer.
some ppl like to learn more ,but when you read these comments it makes me realize they let out all the morons out of an asylum , an for idiots that don’t know what that is a facility for criminally insane assholes
wait wait wait wait wait did that as hole just call the n900 a bad phone wtf someone school this dude on the n900……. ITS NOT A PHONE NUMB NUTS ITS A COMPUTER TABLET MILLION TIMES BETTER THEN THAT ICRAP PHONE LMFAO AND LEAVING TMOBILE FOR VERIZON LMFAO WOW UR BETTER OFF BUYING THE N900 AT FULL PRICE WITH ALL THE HIDDEN FEES THAT VERIZON HAS AND LET ALONE THERE PHONE PLANS LMFAO WOW SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST …… IDK WHATS THE WORD SOMEONE HELP ME LOL
…this changes everything.
P.S. I am a serious proponent of reading all of the comments before you comment for yourself.
You might learn a thing or two in the process that could assist in you not looking like a, I don’t know, what’s the word? Someone help me…
This is the cheapest I have seen the N900 for, but still more than I’m willing to spend on a phone, and I’m not really interested in it. I just got a Cliq, and its good enough for me.
@ yor PAPPI
You say your name is Pot? Well, meet kettle, and yes, you’re both black.
I Agree with luis if your going to go to Verizon i mean seriously I used to work for Verizon and they RIP ppl off i mean for real they OVER PRICE EVERYTHING they just think they can do it bc they have number 1 rating for service which is w/e and all but doesnt make them the best in everything so they just think they can charge w/e they want bc ppl will have to pay it… which i mean u will or u will have ur phone turned and then if u want to cancell it between 250 and 350 yeah real great… Tmobile has been offering now great plans and also if u want u can just ask TMObile a little trick if u have been with Tmobile for over 3 or so years and want u can just ask them to put u on the UNlimited talk plan for just 49.99 if ur under contract that is BUT ANyways VERIZON SUCKS and also there is the NEw ACER PHONE COMING OUT so TO anyone i would save ur money for that phone bc they actually clocked the processor at 875 to 1 ghz cpu and its freaking ACER and a badass phone
@ Luis
Your grammar tells me I am wasting my breath with this response, so I’ll keep it short. Try reading the contract, and you won’t be talking about hidden fees. It’s really pretty simple. However, I will agree that if you want to add a ton of features to your plan verizon may nickle and dime you. For the record, I have a friend who is on a verizon family plan, and we have compared bills. Believe me, the difference in price is far less than the mindless fanboy banter you are spouting.
the coupon doesnt seem to work
I got this for $435 shipped. Just a bit more than the Verizon early-termination fee alone
Killer phone for a killer price.
abcxyz123 how did u get the coupon to work??
Can anyone tell me how to get the coupon to work. It wont take it for me
@al
Make sure you’re in dell business instead of home. They are two different site. And you don’t need a bizniz. Just make up a name for ur bizniz. Goodluck. I might jump on this. N810 is getting old. Coupon expires tomorrow.
logger , I am on the Dell business site
@watbetch: Ok, I get it…. My bad. My apologies…
coupon is dead !!
