We want your G1 pics!!

So for some of you today is the day, the boys in brown have made your day and in celebration of the G1 launch we want to see your G1 pics. Whether or not its unboxing, firing it up or placing it in your already existing G1 shrine, we want to see them.

So once you no longer have to look out the window for UPS, grab your digital camera or the phone you are ready to retire and take some shots of your brand new G1.

Yes we know, they are ALL going to look the same but the reality is we know you are excited for your very own unboxing pics, having already seen pictures here and here. This has all culminated into a great experience for our readers and we want to see that excitement come to a conclusion and doing so in full on picturesque grandeour!!

So we have set up a nice little place on the forums to post pictures in whatever form you would like, so what are you waiting for? Oh right, UPS still hasn’t come…STOP LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW!!

Its great to be an employee of t-mobile. I got 2 g1 for free and had it delivered last friday. Now that’s awesome.

GAH!!!!!! I got my G1 today!! Yay right? Sort of. You can’t use it until wednesday when tmobile activates the g1 service. That’s totally ridiculous

hey she she remember the day before labor day when we got that picture of a white g1 next to some european phones and everyone was like it was ugly .when was the last time we heard that from someone and now they are here.

Mine arrived in Los Angeles this morning. It’s sitting 15 miles from my house, but I think it will sit there until tomorrow morning, when it goes on the truck and to my house, which is the scheduled delivery date.

Oh the pain of waiting!

Its too bad that the marketplace has changed. Now there are only a limited amount of applications that are available….glad I still had a chance to d/l the removed programs over the weekend

@ArmyTank You can’t connect to the google servers, so nothing actually works. you can turn it on, there’s emergency dial, and you can attempt to connect to you gmail account. that’s it. no home screen no nothing no actual call capability until wednesday. It was verified by 2 tmobile customer care reps. :(

Got mine over an hour ago but can’t use it yet as I need to add the 3g data plan to a line other than what I bought it on. Hopefully I will have it up and running later on today. Thing is super sweet

Sorry to burst your bubble @SaDudE. It won’t work until wednesday. The G1 data plan won’t be active ’till then. I talked to t-mobile about it. It’s super lame. I got my g1 this morning.

Actually, the G1 data plan IS available and working for customers right now. Just call customer care and have them put on the feature, and it’ll be ready to go. I promise.

KP – I’m a TMO retail employee… I’ve had my phone since Wednesday (I love it). Of course mine is working, but I saw yesterday on our internal system (Streamline), a post saying some customers are getting their phones early, and the service and feature are up and running for everyone. It basically said customers WON’T have to wait for the 22nd if they already have their G1′s…

UPS does not update their tracking until it reaches the new outgoing location, they just told me:

I’m sure this was addressed somewhere on the site earlier. Are only a portion of those who ordered on the first day even getting shipped? Tmobile is giving me the some time between October 22nd and November 10th, you will receive it answer. What’s the deal with that?

@Joe I just spoke to the 3 rep today and she said again that they can’t activate the service early. So mine still isn’t connecting to my gmail account and that’s effing lame.

FYI – after speaking to the reps who said it was backordered and no shipping information on my account was available/it should be to me by November 10th, it arrived at my doorstep 10 minutes ago.

I could not wait I wanted to get back to you. I just turned it on and was able to sign in using my current gmail account. It said it synced and I ran to PC to tell you. I am going to muck with it in a little bit. (gotta pick kids up at school first). But it DID sign in. I am in New Jersey if it helps.
