T-Mobile’s disaster response team has set up at another shelter, this time for residents dealing with the Hawk Fire in the Reno-Sparks area of Nevada.

As shared by T-Mobile, the Un-carrier is now providing free Wi-Fi and device charging at the Red Cross shelter inside the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, located at 4590 S. Virginia St. in Reno. It’s open around the clock until further notice, which matters a lot if you’ve evacuated with a phone at 20% battery and no idea when you’ll get home to charge it, let alone reliable internet to check on family or follow evacuation updates.

If this setup sounds familiar, that’s because T-Mobile has run nearly identical deployments several times already this year: for Hurricane Lala in Hawaii earlier in August, for the fires that hit the Spokane area, and for prolonged power outages tied to Midwest storms in Indiana. It’s become a fairly reliable part of T-Mobile’s playbook when a disaster displaces a lot of people at once, get connectivity and charging into whatever shelter is serving as the community’s gathering point.
