Samsung Galaxy S III S-Voice APK Leaked, Use At Your Own Risk

Need something exciting to try this weekend with your rooted Android device running Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 or above? Take advantage of a newly leaked APK for Samsung’s soon-to-be-released S Voice application for the Galaxy S III thanks to a leaked ROM making its way across the internet. We’re hearing that the software is imperfect and that’s to be expected from unfinished software from an unfinished ROM. Said another way, if you’re expecting this to work exactly like it will on the Galaxy S III, you could be in for some disappointment. However, if you want to spend some time poking around the functionality of this app, the download is available at the XDA link below. Use at your own risk!

We’d love to see how any non-Samsung owners handle this software on their own device as Engadget tested the APK on their Galaxy Nexus and report a mostly “flawless” experience. Good luck!

  • XM_JDM

galaxy nexus user here. It works but it’s slow when trying to get data or giving you a response.

    • Get_at_Me

       same here with my gs2

I have a Galaxy Nexus with Verizon.  I am having trouble trying to install Svoice on this unrooted phone.. Would it be possible if you could describe the steps you took during your installation of Svoice on this non rooted phone.  I can’t seem to make any of the svoice APK,S I downloaded to work on this phone.

Let me try this on my note. Might be another selling point I can use!

  • AnthonyRyan89

why does it say for rooted phones i installed the APK on my sensation 4G and it was able to work not correctly but it still works for the most part even though i havent messed around with it much but still

    • Get_at_Me

from what ive seen in the past, most “factory apps” that ppl use on non-intended phones seem to work so long as the software supports it…Did u update ur Sensation to ICS?  Not surprising that its working for a number of different phones (stock or rooted)…

      • AnthonyRyan89

Yeah my sensation has OTA ICS on it

  • J-Hop2o6

Works on my rooted G2 with a custom ICS rom (Andromadus beta 3).

    • Dassfada

Same here. The Only thing I can’t change is the wake up command.

      • J-Hop2o6

It crashes every time I ask it something now. Dunno why.

        • AnthonyRyan89

For me its been working some what good now it hasn’t been crashing at all

  • unfaix

    Doesnt set alarm

  • I’ll wait for the official release of the phone.

  • Cycad007

I’ll wait for Jelly Bean…which should have Google’s version of Siri.

    • dkbnyc

What is that like a year away?  I know it should be introduced by Google around the end of the year but developers probably won’t get it until this time next year.  Look at how long has ICS been out?

      • Cycad007

Read the reviews…Samsung’s S-Voice hasn’t exactly been drawing rave reviews.  On the other hand, rumor has it that Google’s “Siri” will be more powerful/capable than the original Siri.  This isn’t a “must-have” feature for me…so I definitely don’t mind waiting.

  • Simply Amazed

Works on my unrooted Amaze 4G with very little problems. My phone is running ICS at the moment too.

  • HG

Put it on my Sensation 4G with ICS.  It’s pretty buggy… not really usable. Fun to play with but not going to streamline my phone usage in anyway.

I have not rooted my device.  This is a straight install from the APK.

  • Bleacherbums1

Uninstalled from my GN too slow and buggy went back to skyvi a lot better….

  • evildrpickles

anyone getting “network error”? that’s all mine seems to do when I ask it something from my amaze

    • JBLmobileG1

Same here. I don’t think it plays too well with the Amaze. Oh well… I uninstalled it…. would have been cool if it worked.
