T-Mobile Galaxy Note II Pricing Sneaks A Peek, Looks To Be A Go For Tomorrow

With another set of leaked pricing hinting at a $369.99 Classic Plan price (after $50 mail-in rebate) and price cards dated for tomorrow, all signs point to a Galaxy Note II launch tomorrow. Is it possible we will see a midnight announcement from T-Mobile with availability beginning bright and early tomorrow morning? We hope so and if we do I hope you all have your credit cards ready and hopefully, an upgrade ready and waiting as well.

Looks like full invoice dropped to $649.

    WooHoo!!!!! I save $50

    • thepanttherlady

You could have splurged on a 64GB card instead of a 32GB for that savings! =P

      • Sandisk ultra 64GB micro SD card was on sale yesterday, Amazon. I got it for $46 shipped.

        • Richard Yarrell

Yes sir, I ordered the class 10 sdxc 64gb card yesterday it will be delivered to me October 26th after 8pm. I will be picking up my Galaxy Note 2 on November 1st and selling my Galaxy S3 for 350 dollars on October 31st. Can’t compalin ready to roll with the Galaxy Note 2 on tmo..

        • Yes sir. Mine shipped today, I ordered yesterday. Woohoo.

        • pv

hit me up at paulo_316 at yahoo dot com when you want to sell your GS3

        • Steve P

Wont work properly in note 2. Might if for mat fat32 but then 4g file limit.

        • Sure it will, you have to know what your doing. It just needs the software to correct the format if it needs, but my first galaxy note was perfect. Nothing needed.

        • Came today and works just fine FYI

      • nycplayboy78

I can always swap it out later…buwahahahahaha :)

        $58 on Amazon…Getting it now…

        • steveb944

Go with the newest official leak, $249.99 since the full retail dropped to 650

        • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

so i live in texas how the tax’s or 8.25 percent so how much will i need on value plan being the phone at $249.99 of down payment and tax’s my tax’s or 8.25 percent in texas

        • steveb944

270.61 it should be out the door with value plan, and $20 per month for 20 months. I can’t recall if there’s an upgrade fee or any other kind of fee when you get a device, I’m sure other readers have posted on that.

        • ZED

i bought a phone last month payed all taxes from full price up front.

        • knowitall

Some states have a law that tax is charged on full cost, and some states do not. So depending on the state you could pay more in taxes than others.

there is no additional upgrade fee. tax will be the only thing added.

        • thepanttherlady

In that the phone is being purchased (eventually) for the full retail value on the Value plan, the tax is calculated on $649.99, not $249.99. The out the door cost will actually be: $303.61. ($249.99 + tax)

        • Guest

If I understand your post your asking how much the tax will be? Take $249.99 and X it by 8.25

        • CRT24

tax is figured on the full cost of $649.99 so calculate the tax on that on the add to the $249.99 down.

    • jorgitin

sameeee, im so happy right now.

  • thepanttherlady

    Oh even better. Woot!!! <3

    • hansel

can’t wait to buy it and use on my $70 prepaid plan!

  • archerian

Does anyone know what the exact specs are? Like which chipset, SoC, GPU, Bands etc. for the T-mobile specific version?

    • How do you not know the specs of this phone?!?!?! Have you been locked in a cave or something? LOL.

      Here’s a link to a spec sheet.

      http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_ii_n7100-4854.php

      • archerian

That’s the international version (N7100). The T-mobile version is the SGH-T889. Do you have a link to the specs for that device?

        • k-mack
        • David

Hey umm this is for the first note not the note II.

        • They’re the same.

        • archerian

Its NOT the same device.. the North American version has Qualcomm for radio with support for ATT specific LTE bands and DC-HSPA+. If you refer to the OP, I was asking for the T-mobile specific version, they have a different model number and are not the exact same device, they were never planning to release the same device everywhere

        • Okay, well I apologize for giving you the wrong link.

        • archerian

run back to YOUR cave, read and get to know facts and then talk. Idiots who don’t know anything post garbage, and back up what they post with hateful comments that highlight their stupidity.

    • Zach Mauch

Officially no, but most would agree that it is very likely to be the same as the international version.

      • archerian

I’m really surprised its not being released. If its the same as the international version, I’m really interested to know if the current Exynos does DC-HSPA+ (which I believe it cannot, but I might be wrong). Are the specs being kept under wraps as it cannot?

        • ceegii63

this is the International version with additional AWS bands for 3g/HSPA+ on Tmo with a rumored deactivated LTE radio for futureproofing of Tmos LTE in 2013

  • So How much will I need to pay for this phone? I’m a lil confused.

I’m on contract (using a unlocked 4s) , but I have an upgrade.

    • thepanttherlady

Are you on a Classic or Value plan? Value plan = $649.99 ($249.99 down plus 20 monthly payments of $20). Classic plan = $419.99 – $50 MIR = $369.99. *Plus any applicable taxes.

  • jelliottz

I stopped by a store to ask to see a demo. They wouldn’t let me, but said to come back tomorrow. They discreetly gave the *wink *wink that they were fully stocked to sell tomorrow.

    • I enjoyed it today, very cool device.

      • jelliottz

My guys followed the rules. First device they ever did that with. I.was a bit disappointed. Okay, a lot disappointed…

        • achusaysblessyou

I know… what’s with all the secrecy… either my place was playing dumb or they legitly had no clue…

    • Went by my local store, two sales guys each had one. They said they had 51 white and 31 grey. They also have the ISIS SIMS, will be there at 10am!!!

      • itsdeniid

wow that makes me super excited!!!! did u get to touch one? how did it feel lol?

        • Not at the store, but I got to have some time with one last month, it is amazing, that is why the past 4 weeks have been so hard.

        • eurohomie

i stopped by the tmobil store today and the guy lt me play with one… i was like educating him on everything the phone can do… fyi it does feel kinda big but with the one handed keyboard operation its absolutely incredible

    • unknown

Not really. T-Mobile stores received only 3 in stores. Really isn’t fully stocked.

      • Eric

Depends on your store. My store got a huge shipment of them.

      • AM3RIG

unknown, you are right. thats what the retailer lady at tmobile, told me that they have only two GNII in stock.. I will show up and wait in line there like 5am or something till store open. ..

      • JayMoney88

…umm not correct. we received 11 at my store in GA

    • AM3RIG

Today TMo did let me play their GN2 demo after the beautiful blonde lady show it to me.. I was like wow, it’s beautiful Note II. she told me, please come back so early morning before store open for get a GNII.. I am sooo exciting!

  • Woohoo! $649, very nice.

  • kbt1020

Called a few stores nearby. One confirmed the $249 value plan and said he has some already and will be available tomorrow. It’s going to break my heart forking out 419 + tax = $450 – 50 = 400 for a phone. Hopefully Walmart will stick with the $300 even for a classic plan

    • achusaysblessyou

It’s $419 – $50 MIR, so it’ll be $370 on classic plan (from a previous leak), but hopefully since the value plan price seemed to have fallen $50, the Classic Plan one will drop $50 too.

In any case, I NEED to find a place with it tmrw :p

      • kbt1020

Well… you’re going to have to pay the 419 + tax up front before any rebate, so it’s going to be ~450 depends on where you live. Then mail-in rebate will cut that to $400. I don’t think the classic will drop $50 as you look at the picture it says $419. Wirefly might be offering it for a lower price though, but I don’t know how reliable is that site.

        • achusaysblessyou

Sorry you’re right, I didnt look too closely at the image (was excited by the $650 off-contract price). Looks like T-Mobile wants everyone on the Value Plan. Question to you, why aren’t you on the Value plan? Unless you have a grandfathered Classic Plan…?

        • kbt1020

Yeah. I do have a grandfathered classic plan. I have a family plan of 1000 shared minutes for one line w/ 2gb unlimited plus and unlimited text. That runs me around 120 each month (without my FAN discount, which will be added on once i get the note II), and we never really ever reach those limit since the other two lines don’t text or use data. I don’t think the value would make much difference for me.

        • achusaysblessyou

Hmm. I pay $92 a month on the Value Plans for 1000 minutes, unlimited text, 2 lines with 2GB data, and 2 lines without data (i do have a 15% corporate discount though). Also, we pay $5 for the extra lines… I think there might be a promotion where you don’t have to pay that til Jan 2014 (else, i’d have $10 cheaper)

        • skywalkerjedi7210

I bought my S3 thru Wirefly and saved around $80 that time. I’m planning to buy mine via Wirefly and I’m hoping that it will be the same price as Walmart.

      • thepanttherlady

The retail value of the phone appears to have dropped $50. The down payment for the Classic plan is the same.

        • achusaysblessyou

Yeah, I got too excited at the first drop to notice the unchanging Classic Plan price. I think T-Mobile seems to be pushing people towards the Value Plan…

        • thepanttherlady

That’s exactly what they’re doing, and what I did. LOL If the trend is to offer a higher subsidized price for the Classic customer’s, I’d rather pay less down but ultimately full price for the phone. No skin off my nose and $70 less a month on the family plan. ;)

    • trickinit

Don’t forget the $18 upgrade fee!

  • galaxymaniac

again tmo gets the crappier version of the Galaxy series… put Qualcomm junk into it and call it the “North American” version

  • doogie

Boo I needs sell my old amaze and my
    touch 4g

    • don’t sell them to Gazelle, they’re a rip off. They just turn around and sell them on Ebay and Amazon Marketplace for double they paid you.

      • srt4john

Swappa dot com, seems to be the best place IMO

  • Dust

How much do we pay on contract if we have an older Even More Plus plan?

    • tpremployee

I’m not as well versed with EM+ but I believe you will have to migrate to Value or Classic in order to get the phone at a discounted price. That being said, Value is more in line with the way you are used to your plan working (paying a down payment then installments) and as stated previously would be $249 + $20/mo.

    • 21stNow

If you are an Even More Plus customer, you are not in a contract. Are you an Even More customer? Those were contract plans. If you are an Even More Plus customer, you will have to pay $650 because the EIP is not available to you. You can convert to the Value plan, but you can’t convert to the Classic plan. If you convert to the Value plan, then you pay $249 down and $20/month on top of your rate plan for 20 months. You will also sign a two-year contract for this.

      • Dust

Yes sorry I am an even more customer. Does that make it 419 I will pay then? I cannot swap down to another plan right now.

  • jon

Oh, Daddy will order at midnight! Can’t wait!

  • Matal Maniac

Many of you seem to not get the message being said in the pricing. Since the Value Plan started, T mobile has tried to ensure that if you get a phone from them ON CONTRACT, your intent will be to keep it!! When I see keep it, I mean just that. They no longer wanted to contribute to the Ebay and Craigslist scammers who for years have used The Classic plans to get devices with the intent of selling them. I also have heard that The Classic Plan is going away. Look here at how close the pricing is between the Value and Classic plans.
The Value plans are priced very well on terms of month to month service. It’s all about customer retention here. with value you even get a line of interest free deferred credit to assist you with the phone purchase. Again I heard the plan is to drop classic plans in full favor of the value plan for new sign ups.

    • archerian

Dropping the subsidized phone concept in US markets might not bode well for customer retention or increasing subscriber base in the long run, many people still think their new Lumia or iPhone or Galaxy actually costs $200, without being aware of its true cost being spread across the 24 month contract. They have and still expect to pay $100 or $200 for the top of the line device. Value plans work well into this concept, same small fee upfront, the carrier still recoups the cost.

      • Little Jimmy

That’s because people are either spoiled, or stupid. They’ll come around eventually, Europe hasn’t had a problem with paying full price, and they don’t even get the benefit of interest-free financing. In that regard, the average consumers are holding the industry back from advancing their networks with better coverage, which the consumers want, ironically, because they have to keep using capital to pay for subsidies on devices, instead of network upgrades.

    • tpremployee

The plan is indeed to drop Classic plans completely. Supposedly a new program will start in November that will allow customers to migrate features (not rate plans) of individual lines on family plans to Value pricing and when the entire account can migrate for $0 then the rate plan can switch. This is in contradiction to the current policy of “all or none” when migrating a family plan from Classic to Value.

    • Value plan is precisely the same thing as the Classic in every way except for the device.

  • njfpolyr6

CC ready…just the matter of time!

  • Zach Mauch

Awesome. Only $20 more than the GS III started at. Makes me confident we’ll see a magenta days like promotion before christmas.

  • I was told 305 roughly with tax.

    • all the carrier reps have told us at walmart it will be $249 at walmart before thanksgiving not to mention the sales and gift card promos they usually have im hoping to get one on TMO for around 200 net cost. but 419 up front PLUS tax is UNGODLY no one in their right mind would pay that, just pay full price at that point

  • ceegii63

if im reading this right… your not actually gonna save much and better off buying the phone full price so you dont have any contract extension right?

    • steveb944

OR on a value plan with extension and 20/per month payments for 20 months

  • Chris

    Happy Day!!!!!

  • jj watt

does anyone know if T-Mobile stores getting the 32 and the 64? Gb…

    • thepanttherlady

Customer Care said 32GB online like the S3.

  • Polo D

I am a little confused since I don’t want to pay over $300 at a Tmo store for the Note 2 so I called a bunch of Walmart stores around here in Southern Cali and asked them if they will have the Note 2 in stock tomorrow. They all said either “they don’t have it” or “they will not be selling it”. Does anyone know if Walmart will actually sell them and when? I also called Costco and they told me they won’t be selling them until 2 weeks after release date. Any of you guys checked with your local Walmart to see whats goin? This really sucks for me I just sold my S2 just right now and Im stuck with a 3 year old back up flip phone. Please Help

    • thepanttherlady

You’d be paying over $300 at Walmart too.

      • Polo D

I must’ve called 12 walmarts in Cali already including a few in O.C. Foothill Ranch, Santa Ana and Laguna Niguel. All of them say they won’t carry it. I don’t know what the deal is. I’m not really willing to pay $400+ for a phone that others will sell for $300, its the principle. Now Im getting tempted to just “settle?” for an S3 which costco is selling for $150. I know the S3 is still a good phone but is the Note 2 that much better? Will I regret it if I choose the S3 instead?

        • thepanttherlady

We can’t tell you if you’ll regret choosing the S3 over the Note 2 but if you read through the posts on several blogs, you’ll see many of us S3 owners are buying the Note 2. Don’t get me wrong, the S3 is an amazing phone but the Note 2 is that much better!

Are you on a Value or Classic plan?

    • the walmarts in virginia also said the same thing.. best bet, looks like tmobile .. i dont care, im getting this phone reguardless of price !!! would be nice if walmart was gonna carry at the same time too

  • NewZ05

I was playing around with it and learning all the cool features while on the floor today. I can’t wait to order it for myself. Sad I’ll be replacing my GS3 so quick but this phone is great!

  • Polo D

P.S. Im almost tempted to pick up the S3 for $150 at costco if have to wait too long. Should I do it? Will I not be satisfied with an S3 instead waiting for the Note?

    • archerian

I think you mentioned you’re in CA. Do you still have the 30 day return policy with no re-stocking fee?

      • thepanttherlady

CA is still a 30 day return period for TMo but I’ve always been charged a $50 restocking fee. If that’s the case for the OP I’d say get the Note 2 and if he/she doesn’t like it then return it. That way they’re paying $200 for the S3 instead of tacking on the $50 to the Note 2.

  • Polo D

So is walmart really going to sell the Note 2? I called a bunch of local Walmart stores around here in California and they told me they will not be selling it. What gives?

    • Freddie Lopez

Same thing! But I called another Walmart and they said they will get them next week. They have to let T-Mobile sale them first.

      • Polo D

Which/where Walmart did you call? I called a bunch and they all said they won’t have it.

  • David Anderson

So I’m on a classic plan and elegibile for an upgrade. Can I switch in store tomorrow to a value plan? It seems the better way to go. I just assume pay full price and get the 0% APR. I just don’t see the value in having classic and paying $10 a month on my voice plan. That is $240 a year and $480 for the entire two years I get locked in. So $480 + $370 AR for subsidized or $249 + $400 for value.
Also, if I switch to value and another phone comes out in 6 months that I want, can I do the same thing – down payment + 0% financing (understaning that I will still have the $20 / month on there from the first phone)?

    • tpremployee

As long as you have 18 months since your last subsidy you can migrate to Value for $0. As far as getting a new phone in 6 months, assuming you only have one line, the only way to get the new phone is to pay off the remaining balance on your EIP and then you are eligible for the standard down payment OR you will have to put more down so that your EIP balance does not exceed $400 (the maximum for any line of service).

  • Is it (419.00+50.00) = 469.00 OR (419.00-50.00) = 369.00? for the classic plan?

    • thepanttherlady

Rebate = an amount paid by way of reduction, return, or refund on what has already been paid or contributed.

  • thats what im talking about !!!!!!! …

  • Noah

I’m on a classic plan, and I’m due for an upgrade, how much will this cost ?

    • it’ll cost you $369 according to this post. of course that includes a $50 rebate mail in so you’re looking at actual cost $419 (getting 50 back on rebate)

    • $419 and you get a $50 mail-in rebate.

  • corepreacher

I already have mine. Was in 30 day return period for buying galaxy s 3 outright. This phone is sick

    • Did you have to pay restocking fee?

      • they usually do charge a restocking fee but when I exchanged my GS3 16GB for the GS 32GB I was able to call customer service and get it taken off since I’ve been with T-Mobile for 12 years. Thanks to my local T-Mobile dudes at the store I go to most for suggesting.

  • get off of me

Ok I never really get the value plan but ok the phone is 649 and u down 250 up-front and the balance is 399 and if u choose 500 minutes unlimited text and data for 59.99 and the picture shows 20 dollars a month for 20 month when u add everything up ur monthly bill would 79.99?

    • thepanttherlady

      Yes.

  • Rossi

Any word if this will be sold only to new customers or full upgrades? I had that problem with the SIII. I had to wait 3 weeks after release to buy it off contract. Something with the T-Mobile system.

  • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

So is it $299.99 down payment or is $249.99 yesterday tmonews said $299.99 to they are saying $249.99 so which one is right on the down payment for galaxy note 2? I really want this phone on the nation #1 carrier T-mobile . At $249.99 WITH TAX’S i live in texas maybe $310.00 at the most

    • thepanttherlady

The first post with pricing stated it was a rumor and that prices are subject to change as we can see happened in the screen shot above.

Keep in mind the $249.99 is the amt down if you’re on a Value plan.

      • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

i called early a t-mobile rep told me that tommorow pre-orders start and the phone get’s realese on nov, 11 2012 ?

        • thepanttherlady

In reading through many posts on various blogs here, several people have confirmed their stores have the Note 2 in stock. A couple say they were lucky enough to purchase one today.

I doubt TMo would have inventory only to hold them until November 11th. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow, eh? ;)

  • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

Does t-mobile really give mail in rebates or is just for show to make the customer feel like they are getting a mail in rebate and in fact they are’nt getting nothing back ?

    • thepanttherlady

My daughter participated in the last Magenta days (zero “down”) and received her rebate. Not everyone’s results are the same.

  • Nick2k

what’s this “Two-year agreement required on VALUE and CLASSIC plans” crap? “Value” plans are supposed to be “non-contract” plans. this wasn’t in the fine print when i bought my SGSIII…

    • 21stNow

Value plans are two-year contract plans. T-Mobile no longer offers no-contract plans to new customers. You would have to be grandfathered into the Even More Plus plan (or something older, possibly) to be a non-contract postpaid customer.

      • Nick2k

Ohhhhhhh… well, shucks. thanks for the clarification. i just realized i’m an Even More Plus account. i guess i lucked out…BUT i’m gonna call CS to double check that they don’t try and pull some weird crap on me. i noticed the “No Annual Contract” version of the GNII is the Titanium Grey variant, not the White.

        • 21stNow

OK. I’m EMP, too. I don’t think that the colors are restricted to different phone plans. When I stopped at the store tonight, they asked me which color I want, and I’m getting this on my Monthly 4G line. I think that either type of plan will have a choice in colors in the store. I don’t know what the case is online, though.

      • UMA_Fan

There’s always monthly prepaid if you REALLY want no contract which makes perfect sense considering no contract lines have the highest chance of churn.

  • steveb944

I think I may have seen a Note for the first time today, it looked way too big. Given this new price I’m still going to my local store and giving it a shot. But I’ll most likely wait regardless for a Black Friday/Holiday sale like they did last year and I bought 2 devices with lower down payment (mail in rebate of course)

  • jj watt

Does anyone know if there going to start selling it tonight online ?

    • thepanttherlady

      Perhaps midnight?

      • 164keyc

        sold out already …. Smh

        • thepanttherlady

Online? I’m still showing “Coming soon” when I go to their website….

        • 164keyc

Yes online. I’m in Texas and also an employee so it may be different for customers. But for me it’s showing out of stock for oth titanium grey and marble white as of 12:02am cst

        • thepanttherlady

Gotcha….you are going to send some people to bed with tears in their eyes with that! :)

  • Mary Heller

When will tmo get 4G (i.e. LTE)?

  • itsdeniid

So Excited.. If I Call Can I Order It By Phone?

    • thepanttherlady

Not until midnight because this doesn’t technically launch until the 24th. ;)

  • itsdeniid

I Was Gonna Get an ipad But for what I AM GONNA GET THISS : )

  • Freddie Lopez

Forgot to mention! There’s no muti-window on the T-Mobile version of the Note 2! At least not yet.

    • thepanttherlady

I was reading that the international version also had this “problem” but it was corrected with a software update.

      • Freddie Lopez

Knowing T-Mobile it will take weeks to do this though. Unless it’s just a Samsung TouchWiz update. But not sure how that’s possible though.

        • thepanttherlady

Maybe it’ll come when the next Note is ready to launch. Bwahahahaha…..so hope that’s not the case though. :)

        • Freddie Lopez

Well do you know if TouchWiz can update itself? Like without T-Mobile dealing needing to test it?

        • thepanttherlady

That I don’t know. For the int’l version Samsung sent the software update themselves.

        • Romitup

you wont need tmobile testing to get the update through kies. Tmobile doesnt step in there, and typically doesnt step in with OTA updates, except in timing for the rollout so as not to overload the network.

you can always use ROMs as well.

        • Kies…

        • Freddie Lopez

Kies better work on my current Windows 8 PC! And yea I know what Kies is but will we have to wait for T-Mobiles approved? That’s the multimillion dollar question!

      • achusaysblessyou

Yep, except the international version usually gets much more support and support for carrier devices fails.

  • Hitman69

Well, folks…Christmas is Tomorrow. Merry Christmas everybody.

    • thepanttherlady

My birthday is on Christmas…just saying. ;)

      • skywalkerjedi7210

        Happy Birthday!!

        • thepanttherlady

Thank you!! :) Lucky me gets to celebrate my birthday twice this year! =D

        • skywalkerjedi7210

that will make you twice as old. :p

        • thepanttherlady

          Grrrrr to you!

        • skywalkerjedi7210

          j/k gorgeous!

question: if i wait for another two weeks, you think its price will go down?

        • thepanttherlady

I don’t work at Tmo, I just pretend to. Hahaha j/k. Seriously though, I have no clue. I think it will be popular enough that they’ll milk us for every penny for as long as they can.

I’m thinking we might see a Magenta Days deal for the holidays versus a price drop. With that being said though, if you watch prices closely, I’ve noticed they tend to flip flop at times. One week phone A is more. The next week phone B is more and the price dropped on phone A…and so on. Weird.

        • skywalkerjedi7210

          thanks for the reply.

yes, it’s weird. i know this phone is hot right now but after a couple of months, they’ll release Note 3 and 4 and so on… with the price of $419 i think it’s too expensive for me. my monthly is around $180 and I dont get to use all my minutes. and buying this phone at that price — might as well wait for the price to go down to 250-300 range.

        • JayMoney88

How many lines do you have? $180 is quite pricy to be on t-Mobile with anything less than 4 lines or so. You should go into your local store and ask about the BTS promotional plan where your 3rd, 4th and even 5th line can be as low as $5 on the classic plan until January 2nd 2014.

        • skywalkerjedi7210

@c1bf4af2550cfd4f133c91af0214970f:disqus i only have 2 lines, $59.99 for 1000 minutes, $30 for my internet plan, another $20 for my wife’s data plan, $20 for messaging and an $8 monthly for my insurance. i’m on a 2-year plan. just renewed this year.

      • nycplayboy78

I got my 64GB SanDisk Micro SDHX card from my local Microcenter this morning for $55……YAY!!!!! GN2 here I come baby!!!! =D

      • TIM

don’t understand whats so great about birthdays! you should be UNHAPPY
instead because you are NEARING DEATH, so practice impermanence . nothing is more fun when you get closer to burial . go to church, temple, mosque, monastery whatever your religion is on your birthday.

        • thepanttherlady

Every day you wake up puts you closer to “NEARING DEATH”. Considering it happens to everyone, I’ll choose to celebrate the time I have! =D

  • Nick2k

looks like T-Mo is getting ready to sell it. you can buy the accessories/cases and the “upgrade” buttons are now active…

    • I now see them on the upgrade page, but they say “Out of Stock”

      • Nick2k

they’ll probably go “live” around 1am-2am PST like the GSIIIs did. probably…

  • thepanttherlady

Head to the T-Mobile facebook page to get a 30% off accessories coupon code: http://www.facebook.com/TMobile?fref=ts It’s good through 12/31/12.

    • nycplayboy78

      Already got it :)

  • omg_imasian

I went to pay my bill yesterday, and they said it would be out on Oct. 24th… They just don’t know the price….

    • thepanttherlady

      See screen shot above. :)

  • kdog

so 370 plus 200 for etf =570 for the phone yes

    • I wish but they will bill you the difference of the device PLUS the ETF

      • thepanttherlady

You get charged the difference for the device on the Value plan, not the Classic plan. Once you’ve hit 30 days on the Classic plan, you’re not liable for the device any longer….unless I’m missing fine print. ;)

        • Possibly , but darn you still would owe your monthly bill fees taxes so pretty close to full retail anyways. and its $419.99 if u cancel no rebate so idk I just think if u have the intentions of just getting the phone outright just buy the phone upfront seems like the right thing to do,

        • thepanttherlady

That was exactly my point to the poster above. The phone may still end up being less than full retail their way but people forget about the first 2 bill cycles you have to wait through to get that $50 MIR. Plus the activation fees, upgrade fees (if applicable) etc. ;)

        • Freddie Lopez

I called them. If you’re upgrading there’s no upgrade fee or activation fee. Just the phone with taxes (where available).

        • thepanttherlady

Ok, so using my location (for tax purposes) the calculation for what the OP suggested is this:

$370 (assuming I get the $50 MIR) + $54.25 tax + $200 EFT = $624.25. This calculation still doesn’t take into consideration two months worth of bills I’d need to pay waiting for the MIR.

If I decide to forgo the MIR then the calculation is: $420 + $54.25 + $200 = $674.25. Again, not taking into consideration the bill for the first month.

          Retail: $649.99 + 54.25 = 704.24 and no obligated 1 or 2 month bill.

After adding in the bill(s) that will need to be paid, buying at retail is the least expensive and you’re not trying to cheat the system.

          :)

        • Freddie Lopez

MIR? Is that for closing your account on Tmo?

        • thepanttherlady

          MIR = Mail in Rebate

The $200 in my calculations above are for the ETF.

        • Freddie Lopez

          … I knew that -_- :P.

        • thepanttherlady

Did I pass the test? hehehehe

        • Freddie Lopez

So random question. Did you see my comment that’s awaiting to be approved? The link I pasted shows Samsung’s site saying it’s out for T-Mobile.

        • thepanttherlady

I think that’s admin access. I’m a lowly mod..bwahahahaha. The boss must be sleeping so we’ll get that news when T-Mobile themselves announce it. Hehehehe

        • Freddie Lopez

Darn! People shall know! It’s out! Lol.

        • thepanttherlady

It’s not coming up on their website for me……

P.S. It doesn’t matter that I’m ordering mine on Saturday. I just want to SEE it on the website. =D

        • Freddie Lopez

          samsung [dot] com/us/article/the-next-big-thing-galaxy-note-ii

        • thepanttherlady

That’s where I was. Still says by mid-November and when you click the link for TMo, there isn’t anything there yet. :/

        • Freddie Lopez

Yeah but remember it used to say “Pre-Order”? Now it says “Find It At:” So it’s means it’s out! I would suppose!

        • kdog

yeah u guys are right i was just thinking out loud

        • Hey I’m always down to save a buck so I understand but its “new” technology so you know its going to cost more upfront but I am ok with the price happy to save $50 bucks too !

    • thepanttherlady

      $370 + $200 + first month’s bill + $18 (if upgrading) + $35 activation fee (unless free activation is still running. :)

ETA: You HAVE to keep the line open until the rebate is received so make that + 2 month’s worth of bills…..

      • kdog

ok 370 plus first month and activation then cancelled and not pay the fee. heehee

        • thepanttherlady

And that would be one of the reasons TMobile is pushing customer’s to Value plans. Way to go. :/

        • Yep and people ask why Classic Plan prices are so high. Here’s your answer guys.

    • Mike Mack

      & a $200 deposit, & it won’t be refunded unless you’re with them for 12 months…

  • Metal Maniac

I have a prediction that appears to be the future of T mobile in combination with the Metro PCS merger. Classic Plans and subsidies will soon end. T mobile along with the extra retail space provided by the Metro deal will focus on on Value and option. I believe from what were seeing now what you can do with Value plans only at a T mobile corporate location will be offered everywhere T mobile phones are sold. That could include Wal mart and third parties locations like your local mom and pop store. It appears to me what we now know as Classic will become Value by default. This will basically serve credit worthy post paid customers, so anyone new or existing wanting the savings will be on contract(as they already are). Anyone not wishing to be on contract will be subject to a slightly reduced retail for the hardware or phone and all non contract subscribers will be prepaid. Going forward I believe this willl be the plan. Two ways to sign up and one will be a contract and the other won’t. Simplicity with more focus on retention, quality and massive growth…with LTE and I phone coming!!

The logic is, if you want the device, the service and the savings…like Metro Pcs now you will pay more to get your way.many of you don’t understand that the credit worthy post paid customer’s appreciate the credit line and not having to put up $500 or more to leave the store. So again for those of you that like the Metro way…you will get your non contract deal but expect to pay about double or more upfront vs the Value plan customer. The key principle is both customers will either assume 100% of the device cost or slightly less but will still pay more upfront. I personally think if I”m correct Sprint will surely be moving into fourth place fast.

The only thing I’m not sure on is will they allow Wal mart, Best buy and others to handle non prepaid customers. If they don’t, I predict Wal mart and others may only do prepaid sign ups…The jury is still out on that, but I also predict T mobile could also take Verizon out in the years ahead with an increased focus on the value concept they already have, combined with a and better balance of mid to high end devices(Like Bring Motorola Back!!) Great things are about to happen to the T mobile we all know today, you have been informed.

  • Ah… good $649 is much better than $699 for full retail.. As is $249 as opposed to $299 on Value plan… But why isn’t Classic plan price any lower? Should be $319 after $50 MIR as opposed t $369 after MIR

    • thepanttherlady

TMo is trying to get customers to go to the Value plans. There is no incentive to do so if the subsidized pricing for the Classic plan is less than the down payment on the Value plan. ;)

      • Theres also no incentive for families in paying 3 EIP plans for this specific phone without an EIP $650×3(1950)+140monthly not including tax = $5310….. Now if you use EIP… $900 upfront.. + $140plan itself + $60 EIP so $200 per month before taxes to equal $5310…. Or get a Classic pay $1260 upfront if through t-mo( could also go to walmart pay $900 upfront, save $207 in comparison) $150 in the mail to make for $1110 after +$160plan =$4950 before taxes thats assuming as well there is no fee to upgrade but if to include that lets say worst case $36 per line new total is $5058 but is still cheaper by a few dollars.

If from walmart.. still pay $4950-207( in walmart savings) = $4743 over 24 months if no upgrade fee

or if bad upgrade fee scenario $5058-207(Walmart savings) = $4851 over 24 months.

Possible taxes on devices and accounts not included in all situations presented.

Edit: So $200 for 3 lines a month as opposed to $160 for 3 lines and subsidization galore. Classic contracts aren’t bad. Value isn’t actually a value unless its an individual account.

        • thepanttherlady

There is no rebate for the Value plans.

P.S. I just moved 3 lines from Classic to Value and am saving $70 a month for the plan itself. Only I am utilizing the EIP. :)

        • No rebate for value? dang that makes it even more desirable to stay on a classic….

  • So is it safe to say that the $649 full retail will drop to $599.99 full retail by December end? I mean at some point all phones off contract drop….Galaxy blaze is now $349.99 off contract as opposed to the $499.99 it was at release…

    • thepanttherlady

I don’t think anyone can say 100% what the prices will be in December. I think most of us are just happy to be getting the phone in October versus November. LOL

  • Freddie Lopez

It’s time, it’s here. “The Next Big Thing Is Here. Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Note II.” http://smgm.us/JFp

  • Freddie Lopez

@David @thepanttherlady:disqus It’s confirmed! It’s confirmed! It’s out today! The link! Look at the link! Then see “Find It:” US Cellular & T-Mobile. Woot! http://www.samsung.com/us/article/the-next-big-thing-galaxy-note-ii

  • just got an update from tmobile for my gs3….said it will take ten minutes to install…..hmmmm…interesting….

  • Guest

    sold out !!!!!

    • jon

I think this person is referring to the employee website. And yes is sold out in only a few min. Wife tried for me but could not even get the page to load because traffic was so heavy. Oh well. They will be back in stock in a couple days I’m sure.

  • aww yeah!

just reneg my contract. unlimited 4g/talk/text 79.99 w/loyalty discount + 10% corp disc, ill be payin around 70 a month! get that sweet note 2 in 9hrs, a third party app for wifi tether, and im in business!

    • aww yeah!

sidenote: they tried to put me on value plan, had to tell them i was more interested in a subsidized phone, since value would just negate any decent savings. much better option here.

      • JayMoney88

…What? The value plan ALWAYS comes out to be cheaper than the classic plan. It’s done that way on purpose. for example Classic Plan Unlimited Talk, text, TRULY Unlimted Data =$89.99 (Bill will never decrease) /Galaxy Note $419. Value Plan Unlimited Talk, Text, Truly Unlimited Data $69.99 / Galaxy Note $249.99 then 20 per month for 20 months = $89.99 for 20 MONTHS (not for the rest of the time you are with t-mobile). So essentially the phone is less expensive upfront and you see heavy savings after 20 months or immediately if you bring your own device.

  • kev2684

they just moved the t-mobile logo to “Find it at” section with US Cellular rather being on “Coming Soon” section. i guess they are releasing this monster tomorrow for realz. better go to sleep now!

    • Freddie Lopez

      Yep! Can’t wait!

  • Mike Mack

I’m going to use this with my tmobile $30 unlimited text & web prepaid paln, ftw

  • GinaDee

    Perception is everything.

I say they just offer Value Plans. Stop telling people that they are really paying full price for the phone because that verbiage scares consumers. Just bake in the extra $20 or $25 into the rate plan.

To protect themselves T-Mobile could just bump up the ETF really high for the first 12 months then drop it back down to $200 once they’ve made up that subsidy and then some.

Simple easy and still the best value out of the top 4

    • I agree. People freak out when they hear that they are paying $20 per month for the phone even though they come out cheaper over the full 24 months of contract. Just add the price into the rate plan like everyone else and offer a $20 discount for customers who bring their own devices.

  • jaquan saliard

I havent seen people this happy since the nexus one! O_o

    • Well Nexus 1 was pure google… This is true Samsung not with no bs processor this is Samsung with their exynos and the most up to date OS… And I wouldn’t be shocked if Samsung is first to get 4.2 outside of the nexus line.

  • skywalkerjedi7210

I’m seeing it now on T-Mobile’s website. 369.99 for new plans.

  • Get_at_Me

the Note 2 is live on tmobile’s website! go get it!

  • skywalkerjedi7210

it’s available thru Newegg too for $279.99. cheaper by $20 than Walmart.

    • Same on wirefly

    • guest

Do u know how long does shipping take from Newegg?

      • Freddie Lopez

I looked and they can do same day shipping if you order it before 7:00PM PST. Now that depends how far you live from the shipping center too.

  • aaronratner

It’s available online at a ridiculous $370 with contract. Am I missing something or is that a lot of money to pay for a phone on contract? http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/Phones/cell-phone-detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-Galaxy-Note-II-Titanium-Gray

  • tmodude

    Available online right now!

  • Thatoneguy

i just ordered mine in white!!

  • XookieMonsterX

    whooooo-hoooo! just ordered mines!

  • jon

Wife ordered mine through employee site about an hour ago. Showed out of stock just after midnight eastern time. Now back in stock for employee upgrades..

  • nycplayboy78

Sam’s Club has the device online but I haven’t checked any stores yet in the DC Metro area…

  • g2a5b0e

I just switched to a value plan for the first time in anticipation of this device, however, there’s only one listing on the website. It’s the 16GB. Is there gonna be 32GB T-Mobile version or not? This was all very spelled out for everyone when the S3 dropped. I wonder why the carriers seem so unorganized this time around.

    • They are NOT we are just impatience and noisy the “Official”Announcement isn’t until 7pm EST time today when ALL carriers in US are expected to “unveil”and announce dates pricing types etc

      • g2a5b0e

I think they are. All the configurations, prices, etc. for all the carriers were all announced before the S3 released. Not so this time around.

  • guest

    No LTE.

    • Motoki_Mo

Do you have a source or is this just an assumption because T-Mobile isn’t mentioning it for now?

  • Antsizzle

No note on mobile’s website last night where is It

    • thepanttherlady

It was there as of midnight.

  • mardi

Just checked t-mobile site..upgrade total is $419.00 WHY..I’ve been with t-mobile since OmniPOint/Voicestream Day!! Where is the reason to stay, How about treating your long term customers with respect.

    • Because you’re on an old plan. Old plans pay the same price as Classic Plan customers. Migrate to the Value Plan and get it for $249

    • Freddie Lopez

Just try another authorized dealer site like ‘Sam’s Club” or “Wirefly” I think it’s called.

    • jon

Instead of being upset that a website doesn’t recognize how long you’ve been a customer, try calling customer care. Try talking to a human being..you might find that by actively communicating with a human you may get the “loyalty” love you’re seeking. Ranting here about a website upgrade is just stupid…

  • eanfoso

This surely is good news hehe, so everyone the new note is LTE future proofed, right??

  • gpt2010

Anyone know if the device supports TMO future LTE network?

    • Freddie Lopez

It has the brands but we have to wait till T-Mobile or Samsung confirms it’ll work. Just hope is all. Just get ready for 2013!

  • Freddie Lopez

So I ordered online from an authorized T-Mobile dealer but didn’t go so well… 1: I have to wait for the device to come in the mail, 2: It may be out of stock so I have to wait longer! 3: My monthly bill had to be change. So I have to call T-Mobile once I get the device to revert back to my normal usage data, text, and minutes. So who else bought their device and from where? Did you get a better discount that T-Mobile was offering?

  • Paul

DANG! Thanks to the dates I have this week I’ll have to wait until payday.
Oh well, maybe they’ll lower the price a bit by next week…or not.
    CHEERS!

  • ccnet005

Anyone on the east coast care to let us know how it’s working out?

    • jon

On the east coast but I won’t see mine for a couple days when FedEx man shows up…keep in mind its just after 9am..those walking out of a store with goodies are probably still in the checkout process. I think stores open at 9am..I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure its 9..

    • Freddie Lopez

It’s dope! Like it! But it’s pretty huge so you may second your choice on it. If anything just return it before the 14 days.

  • ST

misleading! classic price will be $480 total with tax. you will be able to buy it for $550, Tmo version, brand new, no contract required and no tax on amazon and ebay in a week or two. NEVER EVER BUY PHONES FROM TMOBILE!

  • ST

RIP OFF PRICE AS ALWAYS! why pay $480 with tax on classic on tmobile? you can get same tmo version, brand new, NO CONTRACT, NO TAX for $550 on amazon and ebay in a week or two, guaranteed!

  • jon

You really don’t think people can make up their own minds on where to buy?
Also, it’s a lie that there is no sales tax on amazon. There are several states that have passed laws to force amazon to collect that sales tax. In states that don’t YET have that law to force, it is up to the individual to pay that tax when they file. It is completely MISLEADING of you to claim there is “no sales tax”…let people shop for themselves..if you have a constructive tip like a URL or a place where the device can be found for a great deal; then that’s fine. But your rant doesn’t help anyone.

  • Motoki_Mo

So for now we can’t buy it off contract? It’s not on the ‘prepaid’ portion of T-Mobile’s site yet and if you try to buy it on the regular site it forces you to pick a contract.

I’m not seeing any other stores that have the T-Mobile Note II up online yet either.

  • quad

Customer care said the phone is on backorder, but will be back soon.

  • Shut the hell up damn. I remember paying $350 for a Nextel i930 when it was the host gadget. Sign a contract to get it less or do as me and pay full $649.99 . No one is forcing you to spend your money no one cares to hear you’ll wait to buy it or you’re going to another carrier because upfront it’s less but monthly more I mean add something of substance to the comments boards or be silent. And for the love of cheeses pizza EVERY carrier has good great and bad coverage areas and every company has good great and bad employees and services STOP making your personal experience definitive of the whole! Get a clue.

  • Phillip B

I was the first to get it at my store and they only had 5. I know it’s more expensive than most but for a phone I need to live with for the next two years battery consumption and speed are just tremendous. Well worth the wait over the SGIII.
