        you mean youtube?

    • fixxmyhead

do u want a medal for being first?

  • http://www.youtube.com/#/mrjlwilliams J. Williams

    Very nice.

  • clark

Its sold out on-line, customer care wouldn’t help me and my local stores only have 3 each. Stores don’t open until 10am PST and I work 9:30-8:00pm… Not a happy camper.

    • eanfoso

Should’ve asked for the day off just like most of us did

    • note_lover

Are you saying it’s sold out T-Mobile online or Wirefly because I just checked both and it seems they are both still available

  • Nick Gonzalez

Aye caramba. It does look bad ass. It is just too big for me.

  • http://about.me/daylondeon Deacon

Apple and anyone who ruled in favor of Apple should slap themselves for saying any Galaxy product is like the iPhone … the Galaxy line does everything better than the iPhone and the comparison fails ..ok rant over :)

    • 0neTw0

This is better than either of the iPad variants. As well as any phone they have ever produced.

    • Richard Yarrell

Apple can ONLY WISH they were ever as good or innovative

  • Tbyrne

Imagine me getting the GN 2 today! Nice!

  • http://twitter.com/YepiimGS_Blanco Jay J. Blanco

Awesome commerical too bad i cant get a new new phone i just got my galaxy s iii lol

    • ShonnyG112

Same here. I just got my One S 2 weeks ago & I called CS to see if I can return it for the N2 & she said yea.

      • http://twitter.com/YepiimGS_Blanco Jay J. Blanco

        thats great but im prepaid

        • zacamandapio

Sell it on CL when you get a chance.

  • PiCASSiMO

Looks sweet… but it’s just too big.

    I’m moving up from a G2… and thinking of either the SGS3, 8X, and perhaps the Lumia 920 in Chicago’s re-farmed 1900-network.

    • johnblack86

I’m moving up from a G2 as well. I’m done with the G2 and can’t wait for a new phone. As much as I want the Note 2, I’m going with the GS3.

      • enoch861

Man… the good old G2. Such a bomb proof phone!

        • Spanky

A bomb-proof phone indeed! My wife had the G2 for almost 2 years before we both upgraded to the GS3. Until recently, she kept it in the neoprene pouch that came with the G1 and only had a screen protector on it. The phone is still in perfect condition – not a single scratch on it.

        • enoch861

I remember dropping that thing and not worrying if it was every going to break even with the keyboard open.
But my GS3? I’m deathly afraid of dropping. The 1 time I dropped it, my heart sank. You guys better be keeping them.
If your not, I’d be definitely interested in taking one off your hands.

      • Note Lover

That’s a great phone as well

    • zacamandapio

I thought the same. Once I got to use it for a while I think this is fine for me (until they release the 5.7″ note). Ha ha.

      • Note Lover

Same here, this is the best device I’ve ever owned! Actually curious what the Note 3 will look like lol!

    • Spanky

Agreed. The GS3 is already treading the fine line between big and impractical. It’s already a challenge performing some of the tasks on it with one hand. I’m not interested in anything larger than GS3.
With that being said, the Note 2 certainly looks like a great phone. If you’re into this sort of thing, you can’t go wrong.

  • Alfa4

I ordered mine 6:30 am eastern time got an email will recieve on november 1st .I hate this waiting game 08/29 phone announced wait! 10/24 finally sold by tmobile but have to wait till 11/01 to recieve then after that more waiting for a good case to be released !!!!

    • tmorep

You will most likely get the phone before 11/1. We set the expectation a few days longer then normal delivery est. I got the same quoted date, but based on my previous experience over 10 phones ordered, I normally get them within 4-5 days. Another factor is where is shipped from and destination.

    • Bklynman

Go to eBay for a case for it. I am pretty sure u can get one on there. U be surprise how these company has everything for new phones even before they come out.

      • thepanttherlady

        I already bought 3 different ones. A girl’s gotta accessorize! ;)

        • zacamandapio

I went to eBay for an invisible shield or something like that and didn’t have them. What type of accessories did you get? I usually don’t get any hard cases because of the scratching and stuff. TPU will do for me.

        • thepanttherlady

I googled the specs and ended up ordering cases and screen protectors for the N7100.

        • miss1

I have just dropped this phone in my garage and I could scream. ..There is a ding on the back cover and on the s-pen. ..I wish tmobile had cases today. Ishouldhave ordered my case from Amazon. Com sooner. ..I ordered it on Monday.

        • thepanttherlady

That makes me want to cry. :’(

        • trick

Where did you buy your case?

        • thepanttherlady

          Ebay

  • steveb944

Damn you Samsung, I have to go check it out now

  • Joker Chick

being that I am not a giant nor do I have enormous man hands, I’ll be purchasing the Galaxy S3 and somehow, I’ll survive without the features this thing is offering…hats off to those that want a phone this size, it’s like holding a Kindle Fire up to my head for someone my size

    • johnblack86

Ok little Hobbit…be happy with your GS3! To each his/her own :-)

      • Joker Chick

how do you know I’m a Hobbit? Have you seen my hairy little feet?

        • johnblack86

No, but I’m sure those hairy suckers would be able to handle a Note 2 quite well!

        • Joker Chick

YOU-SHALL-NOT-PASSSSSS! ok, we’re done here – I love you babe, see you at dinner

        • johnblack86

          :-)

    • zacamandapio

The difference between the Kindle Fire and the GNII is huge. In my opinion it’s fine. I remember hearing about how huge the HD2 was when it came out. Now 4.3″ is very common. Plus this device has a 5.5″ screen and just by looking at it it “looks” smaller than the Dell Streak. But like johnblack86, GS3 is a very nice machine as well. So the decision is yours.

      • enoch861

I just wish HTC would create another HD2… I mean, the HD2 was Legen.. wait for it.. dary!! That thing was beautiful, and a pioneer. And yeah, the 5.5″ will probably be common in like a year or so. I mean, I remember people going crazy at the size of the HD2. Now? 4.3″ is so small!

        • Note Lover

I could never go back to a small screen. I love my Note 2, it is beautiful!!!!!

    • Spanky

I’m 6’4″ and I think that the Note 2 is too big. I already have a tablet for the times when I need a bigger screen than the S3.

    • Note Lover

Nothing like a Kindle Fire to your head…it’s perfectly fine and if you don’t want it up to your head, get Blue Tooth or headphones…problem solved

  • NOTE Taker

I JUST GOT MINE!!!!!!! STICK A FORK IN ME, I’M DONE!!!!!

    • NOTE Taker

I’d like to thank David for all the updates, mu mom for teaching me patience otherwise I would have blown my money on the original Galaxy Note, my job for paying me enough to by this expensive phone…

      I’m livin boys…

    • fanbot

Did you get the Tmo version? Does it have the split-screen feature or is it missing as many blogs are reporting??

      • NOTE Taker

Unfortunately no split-screen multitasking. I almost forgot about it before you mentioned it. This phone has too many features to describe. I hear Samsung has rolled out an update for the international version but I don’t know if its good for the US model.

  • mardi

Why such a large price change between t-mobile and wirefire (419 vs 279)? How about keeping your loyal people happy..been with t-mobile for about 12years.

    • Negative Nancy

Yes a company can stay in business just giving away millions of dollars in phones each month. A for profit company is just going to hand you a $700 phone for free to make you happy; and now they won’t make a profit from you for another year. people are so entitled!

seems like an easy solution, rather than complaint, go to wirefly and get it for 279. thats a steal, and i don’t think wirefly is making a much more than penny profit. If a Samsung Note II doesn’t make you happy, then i don’t know what would.

    • jelliottz

Wire fly gets paid bonuses for bringing in new subscribers. They can dip into some of that to drop their subsidized price and still turn a profit. Places like this also tend to have their own ETF on top of T-Mobiles.

      • zacamandapio

        Yep.

  • isaac

Do any of you know when the note 2 will get the multitasking feature update;-)

  • GwapoAko

    Awesome!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/HuskerTX Andrew M

Hey David, got my Note II today and the store manager and I were talking about the lack of information and she said she actually was going to tmonews since T-Mobile didn’t tell them about the release until a few days ago.

  • Adam

Everything I see on here and phonedog says that T-Mobile’s Note 2 will lack LTE connectivity. However, when they flip their LTE switch on next year, won’t this device be compatible? I can’t seem to find a consistent answer

    • Motoki_Mo

Nobody knows and those who do aren’t saying. It apparently has the right bands but does it have an LTE radio and if so will it just work with no fuss when T-Mobile flips the LTE switch? No one at T-Mobile is willing to comment on this. All I see is speculation from various non-T-Mobile affliated people around the net.
I guess the only thing I can say is if you aren’t happy to just have HSPA+ 42 even through next year then don’t buy it. It *might* work for LTE but I don’t think we are going to get an official assurances about that until it happens.

  • Claude

I got mine today during an early lunchtime here in Houston. Got the Titanium color. Still configuring it and learning about it’s capabilities, but so far, I’m impressed. Now I need a good case for it before I break it.

    • Adam

Was titanium gray nicer looking than white? i’m on the fence between the two colors

      • Claude

I felt Titanium Gray is less likely to get dirty. The store I bought mine from said they only sold one White today…the rest Titanium Gray.

        • thepanttherlady

I loved the white S2 and am hoping to get the white Note 2. I keep my phones pretty well protected so I’m not worried about it getting dirty. :)

        • zacamapdapio

I got the Titanium. I felt that the white one was perfect for the ladies.

        • thepanttherlady

I will be replacing the back cover with another color so I felt white would be better.

        • note_lover

I’m getting the White as well :)

        • thepanttherlady

That’s because you have excellent taste! =p

        • Note Lover

I’ve got the White one and love it! I was wondering though, on Ebay, there are back covers in aluminum, neat colors but I was thinking…our NFC antenna is on the back cover of our phone. If we replace it with an off brand cover, will we not have NFC? It didn’t seem like it had that NFC antenna on the Ebay covers.

        • thepanttherlady

There is no antenna on the aluminum cover I got but I don’t use the NFC function at this time.

        • Note Lover

I don’t either and when and if I do decide to, I can always put the original cover back on I suppose. I love some of those aluminum covers and will probably get one.

        • thepanttherlady

That’s the way I look at it. I have a turquoise back right now but am getting ready to order other colors. I also originally ordered folio cases for my phone but now that I have my Phantomskinz full body shield on, bought a bumper for it. I got it yesterday and LOVE it! It protects the bezel around the front without reducing the screen area and shows off the back nicely. It also feels good in the hand. Here’s the link if you’re interested: http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Frame-Bumper-Silicone-Soft-Case-Cover-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-II-N7100-SP-/230870915341?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D50%26meid%3D3481781779533252646%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1036%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D310496624928%26

        • Note Lover

Thanks for the link, that’s a good idea. I am clumsy with my phones and only have a gel case on it now. Already have light surface scratches on the back (have no clue how I did it) so I would like to protect the bezel. Does it have a clear protector on the back? I couldn’t really tell…

        • thepanttherlady

The back is open except for the very small portion around the edges. As I said before, I put a full body shield on mine so every piece that is visible in this bumper, is covered with the phantomskinz shield.
Except the tip of the S Pen. Because of the bumper, the back cover doesn’t sit flush against a flat surface so it should help eliminate surface scratches. This particular bumper also comes with a screen protector.

At $5 including shipping, I’m thinking I will buy some more. :)

        • Note Lover

Thanks again…I have to do whatever possible to protect this and $5.00 is a small price to pay for an $800.00 device lol!

    • thepanttherlady

Tmobile facebook site has a 30% off coupon for accessories.

      • Claude

Thank you for pointing that out. I am headed there now.

      • note_lover

I looked real quick but didn’t see it, can you post a link?

      • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

Need a rugged case for my new galaxy note 2 where can i buy one?

        • thepanttherlady

Google is your friend. :) I bought mine on Ebay but they’re far from rugged.

    • eurohomie
  • chumly

Got mine from regular wirefly and gladly paid the $279 with no hassle, no mail in rebate, and no tax! Wish I would javelin known about this wirefly. Friends thing, but o well. Still wayyy cheaper than t-mobile.

    • note_lover

SAME HERE! Only mine is shipping out today and I should have it by Friday! I looked at the Wirefly Friends but didn’t see it for $249.99, instead it was $279.99 but that is fine with me! Before ordering it, I called my local T-Mobile and it was in stock but for $419.99! So glad I found out about Wirefly! I’m not a cheapskate but I love saving $140.00 off for the best phone in town!

      • Seb

How did you guys get it for $279.99, when I do wirefly it asks me to add data plans and it looks like it will open another line. I have an old unlimited plan that I got when T-Mobile first released the G1 and I don’t want to change the plan at all. Just get a new phone and not have to pay $419 from T-Mobile.

        • http://twitter.com/9ene Eugene

          here’s what you do:
          1. call tmobile loyalty..tell them you want to get a phone and sign a new 2 year with an authorized reseller but they might change your plan..ask them to put a note on your account of your current plan so you can revert back after getting the phone.

          2. order the phone from wirefly and make the necessary changes.
          3. once they shipped the phone, call tmobile again and have them revert the old plans back..

  • Dee

Any word owhen or if we get an update for multi window capabilities

  • fanbot

Hey David, what’s this about the split-screen feature missing on the T-mo version of the Note II? Say it ain’t so!

    • fanbot

      Can anyone verify this??

      • fanbot

Just read on Endgadget that none of the US variants of the Note 2 will ship with the Multi-view feature (carriers are no doubt adding some bloatware to this feature), so will have to wait for it in a future update.

  • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

Where can i find a rugged case for my new white t-mobile galaxy note 2 i called otterbox they said thier priority is the iphone 5 . And also the ipad mini because it’s funny they just announced the ipad mini and they already have otterbox’s for it. Now if it’s a samsung product they make you wait and majority of the time they only have one color which is black otterbox need’s to get love to samsung galaxy note 2 i predict it to sell way over 20 million unit’s within a year being on every carrier so otterbox show some love to samsung. Apple had it’s run and now it’s samsung time to shine. Back to my question i need a rugged case for galaxy note 2 anybody no where i can buy one anybody?

  • PISSOFT-MOBILECUSTOMER2764

So i bet when the big dogs verison come’s out like att and verizon wireless thier will be otterbox cases out because otterbox favors at&tt and verizon wireless. Look at galaxy s2 when it came out otterbox made case’s for all galaxy s2 except t-mobile cause they say it’s small company with less customers . i encourage everyone that likes otterbox’s and like to protect your galaxy note 2 to call otterbox and make them put one out and in different colors too. phone number is 1-855-688-7269 and tell them to make cases for galaxy note 2 . We Need Protection For Or High Dollar Iphone Killer. I HATE THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF APPLE IPHONE ANY IPHONE 3 4 5 WHATEVER IT SUCKS.

  • yozo

    Posting from my Gray one.

Lookung for a rugged case too.
Confused on eBay about which one will fit. Dont want to end up with a popular Note1 version or Int’l version that won’t fit.

    • thepanttherlady

I believe the specs for the international version are the same for the US version. To confirm last night, I went on Ebay and typed in N7105 and both N7105 and N7100 came up listed together. I am just waiting for 3 cases and full body shields to get here!

  • Lynk

I already ordered my note 2 yesterday for 200 bucks thanks to my sister employee discount and no contract. Can’t wait to get it.

    • Note Lover

      That’s awesome!

  • Chris

I know a lot of people on the site were talking about picking up the note2 off contract, including myself. When I went in yesterday they said I could only get it on contract because it’s new and they didn’t have many. I was shocked. I’m not allowed to buy your product? I couldn’t believe it…So I ended up doing an early upgrade (didn’t want to, wanted to go prepaid) but oh well I got the phone. Did anyone else experience this? Were you mad/surprised/angry?

  • Singleweird

    yea it worked

  • thepanttherlady

Make sure any trading/selling/buying is done off the blog. Thank you.

Because we couldn’t do it ourselves ! :) lol
