Facebook Drops (Officially) For Android

Easily one of the most requested (and noticeably absent) applications in the Android market was Facebook. That changes today as Facebook officially drops into the Android market, version 1.0. I haven’t been able to check out the app myself but hit the jump over to Androidandme and get some screen shot love.

    If you go to http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=74769995908 which is what is advertised as the company site it states:

    This application was not developed by Facebook.

    So looks like we need to wait some more? Or are they saying that cause Facebook technically didnt make it themselves?

    Yes, that 200 million user cult.

    Twitter and Myspace etc etc can suck it, but Facebook is very welcome.

    Agreed, I checked the page and it very clearly states, “Not developed by Facebook.” But I read somewhere else that the iPhone Facebook app said the same thing in early versions, so…maybe? I’m not going to use it yet, both since it’s an unofficial app, and since it sounds pretty lame.

    This app is confusing. How do you check messages? How do you do the notifications??? A little too confusing…
