Free iPad A16 Coming to T-Life for 24 Hours Only

T-Mobile Tuesdays usually means a free sandwich or a movie ticket, but next week’s deal is a whole lot bigger. If the latest leak is right, Magenta customers will be able to grab a free iPad for one day only.

The Mobile Report spotted the listing in the T-Life app, showing the iPad A16 “On Us” on Tuesday, October 27. The deal covers up to $599.99 through bill credits on a two- or three-year installment plan, which is $200 more than the $400-off promo T-Mobile is running right now. Since it was found in T-Life, that’s where you’ll want to be on Tuesday to claim it.

Here’s the part you need to know before you get too excited. You’ll have to add a data plan to the tablet, and right now that means Tablet Essentials at roughly $20 to $25 a month. There’s chatter that the deal often doesn’t play nice with the $5-a-month tablet lines some of us get on Go5G Next or Experience Beyond, though that’s not confirmed. So if you were hoping to drop it on your cheap tablet line, double-check before you hit claim.

As for the iPad itself, you’re getting an 11-inch Liquid Retina display, Apple’s A16 chip, 128GB of storage, and Apple Pencil support. It skips Apple Intelligence, but for streaming, school, and reading, it’s plenty. T-Mobile has done tablet promos around this time of year before, like last fall when it celebrated Halloween with free phones, watches, and home internet savings, but a fully free iPad is a step up.

If you’ve been wanting to add a tablet line anyway, set a reminder for Tuesday, since this beats the regular promo by a wide margin. If you weren’t planning on paying for a tablet line, though, do the math first, because the plan can easily end up costing more than the iPad over the life of the installment.
