T-Mobile Tuesdays is firing up the grill for its next giveaway. Starting Tuesday, August 11, eligible T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers will be able to claim a free pair of stainless steel grilling tongs through the T-Life app, just in time to squeeze in a few more backyard cookouts before summer winds down.
Based on leaked photos obtained by The Mobile Report, the tongs aren’t your average dollar-store grabber. They’re built with a stainless steel body, wood-accented handles, a locking mechanism for easy storage, and a scalloped gripping head stamped with a subtle T-Mobile logo. The long handles are designed to keep your hands (and eyebrows) a safe distance from the flames while you flip burgers, brats, or veggies.
To claim the freebie, open the T-Life app on or after August 11, head to the T-Mobile Tuesdays tab, and tap to redeem the offer. From there, you’ll pick it up at a participating T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile retail store while supplies last — so don’t sit on it too long if you want to make sure your local store hasn’t run out.
This drop continues T-Mobile’s now-decade-long tradition of weekly perks through T-Mobile Tuesdays, which has handed out everything from movie tickets and gift cards to gear like this. It’s also the latest item in a busy stretch for the Un-carrier: T-Mobile just rolled out its new EIP Flex 36 financing and Experience 2.0/Essentials 2.0 plans this week, alongside new Student Perks plans aimed at getting more students onto their own lines.
Free grilling tongs obviously aren’t going to make or break anyone’s decision to stick with T-Mobile, especially with plenty of customers still working through the recent plan migrations and price changes. But if you’re already on the Un-carrier’s network, there’s no reason to leave a free kitchen tool on the table.
