T-Mobile pushing security update to Galaxy S8 and S8+

The T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and S8+ may be nearly two-and-a-half years old, but they’re still regularly getting security updates.

T-Mobile is now updating its Galaxy S8 and S8+ with the August 1, 2019 Android security patches. The updates are versions G950USQS6DSH3 and G955USQS6DSH3 for the S8 and S8+, respectively.

These updates began rolling out over the air a few days ago, so if your T-Mobile S8 or S8+ hasn’t yet updated, you should see it soon. You also have the option of manually checking for the update, which can be done by jumping into your Settings app and then selecting “Software update” followed by “Download updates manually”.

A security update like this may not be the most exciting thing in the world, but it’s good to see the Galaxy S8 and S8+ receive another security update one month after their previous update. Has your Galaxy S8 or S8+ gotten this update yet?

Thanks, Joanna!
