One week after T-Mobile updated its Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, it’s begun updating the Galaxy S phones that came both before and after the S8 generation.

T-Mobile is now updating its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S7 models. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ owners can look forward to update versions G960USQS3BRK2 and G965USQS3BRK2, respectively, both of which include the December 2018 Android security patches.

T-Mo’s Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are being updated, too, and they’re receiving the December 2018 Android security patches as well.

If you’ve got one of these four Samsung smartphones, you should see your update arrive over the air in the coming days. You can also check for it manually by heading Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.

It’s always good to see security updates rolling out to devices, especially for older models like the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, whose owners may have thought that they were left behind. Galaxy S9, S9+, S7, and S7 edge users, let us know when your update arrives!

Thanks, Rick!
